I think about entering them every summer. They have car auctions all the time around here with $200 or so cars that'd be perfect to cause some carnage with. Namely those mid 70's or so Olds and Buicks.

Horror movies, which are the best, ones from the 80's or modern ones?
Posted:

I don't quite know if it'd be classified as horror, but I just watched a movie called Funny Games that had the psychological mind terror pretty strong. I find that as I get older, the "slasher" genre seems more and more stale.

Whenever you're alone in the elevator going down to a lobby that you know will be crowded, scream at the top of your lungs and stop just as the doors start to open. The "WTF?" look on peoples' faces is priceless.

Calling ALL Servers/Bartenders **VENT here**
Posted:

I read the 1st post and hopefully got the gist of this thread. However, how about a thread about bad servers, bartenders, etc? How about no refills for my party, no refills for my "adult beverages"; total disregard for my party unless I'm spending the most money; complete unattention unless I'm a quasi-celebrity; and most of all, how about bringing my food back at the temperature I requested it?

It might have something to do with the initial meeting. Maybe the older guys want to present themselves younger, I guess. That don't make it right, but I'd at least understand it.

Hearing of your exact project would help immensely. That being said, the longer you're at a job you generally learn to do less, proof given that others give you their work.

Never married & no kids
Posted:
5/3/2007 7:44:33 AM
I don't pay any attention to never having kids since alot of people with children didn't make a conscious decision to have them, it just happened. I'd also wholeheartedly take a chance on the person that's never been married rather than the one that's been married and divorced umpteen times.

I'm hoping for some kind of help here. I have a tree in my front yard that's leaning and I'm debating about whether or not to trim it in a major way or hack it down completely. I dig the tree and shade but don't want the pure sun and bare yard. Thanks!

Lamborghini Doors
Posted:
1/29/2007 1:33:15 PM
I think you should first make sure you'd be able to get into the car easily. The reason they work so well on the worlds' supercars, is because the height (doors) of the car are so low. Most domestics doors are too tall and leave the bottom of the door itself in the way, making entry/exit a hassle unto itself.
