If s/he has never been married that's a major red flag

aren't all the assumptions and judgements a perfect example of one reason society is so muxed up?? have we learned nothing yet? every person has a story--instead of rushing to your ever so correct opinions why not hear them out first?

and sagman4u--are you the category police now? i checked off "single" because i refuse to categorize my life based upon a very sad event.
so there--shoot me now.

People, of our age, alone...what do our pets say about us?
Posted: 5/26/2009 6:49:17 AM
albert schweitzer said " until he extends his circle of compassion to include all living things, man himself will not find peace".

i have always had animals in my life and now live with an insufficient amount of them...one mighty 16 year old jack russell and a magnificent manx cat. would have many more if the situation allowed. they have taught me to communicate without words, to be patient and see the value in all living things.

i view them as totems, healers and familiars, not as objects or commodities and do judge people on how they treat the animals around them.

How can men stop having feelings so quickly?

i am so in agreement with GentlemanJim4one!!
love has no gender, neither does heartbreak. it saddens me to read of the gender war always going on in the posts. we are all individuals, we all experience and react to situations in our own way. our reactions have more to do with personal history and emotional maturity than gender.

Made my heart skip a beat

dear OP,
i do want that kind of intimacy -it's almost palpable!
i have made a wonderful life for myself and am always amazed how much i have to be grateful for. but at the end of the day-when there's no one to share the small details and funniest moments with it seems a trifle empty.

secretagentguy--all a woman has to do is look at the posts you've written and she'd run, not walk. i don't know why you are so incredibly bitter but --jeeeeeeeeze!

Dating artistic/creative people and relationships
Posted: 1/8/2009 9:14:36 AM
from A.B. is--["Have you dated someone from a different line of work and found that there is a difference in compatibility between them and those you share an occupation with?"]....
i don't see being creative as an "occupation" but as a way of thinking.
and there is a difference between creative thinking and artistry. not all creative people have the developed their ability to create art. although i truly think that anyone can if they so choose. it's a matter of training the hand/mind/eye. isn't it?
my ex was not an artist and i found that he did not support me at all in my work. not talking financially here.
so i think, for me, anyway, being involved with another artist would be fabulous. i have no separation between my life and my work and i think that another artist would understand that.
