What's Your Worst Pet Peeve About Winter?
Posted: 1/6/2009 7:49:33 AM
I would say my pet peeve about winter is the side walks not being cleaned off properly or at all on some streets..makes it especially hard this yr being I had knee surgery an right now need crutches or a walker to get around.

Would you date someone who is a shooter / hunter?
Posted: 8/19/2008 5:30:22 PM
Yes I would date someone who hunts or shoots..I used to go hunting with my dad alot even went trapping with him...When someone is 1 of 8 kids you were taught survival an that including hunting your own food at times....would I date someone who just went out to shoot animals for the fun of it no...by the fun of it I mean I went out once with someone an he liked just shooting at any animals just to kill them...and have to agree it's not the gum that's sometimes the problem it is the one behind it...also have to admit I wouldn't want guns kepted in my home...

Short Time Here all I suggest is that you sit down with her and talk openly an honestly about how you feel things are between you two . In my opinion you aren't being fair to either her or yourself by keeping your thoughts an feelings to yourself.

Best/Worst message
Posted: 7/31/2008 12:11:52 PM
I would have to say the worst message I received was from a gentleman(and I use that phrase loosely)...I had sent an email asking a question about a location of a certain photo taken...his reply back was none of your business I would never take you there anyway.....I replied back to him well thank you for that anyway I wasn't wanting for you to take me anywhere I just enjoy going to different places that have streams, lakes, waterfalls etc..too bad you had to wreck the photo by being in it...I don't normally reply to emails that way even if they are negative but that one just rubbed me the wrong way.

Your thoughts on owners who leave pets in cars during heat waves!
Posted: 7/10/2008 11:06:03 PM
Sad to say this sort of thing goes on alot more then what we hear in the news...last summer my aunt came upon a car in a parking lot at one of the malls in Hamilton there was 2 small dogs left in the car...her an my uncle busted the window out an got the dogs out unfortunatly one had passed away...what made me even madder was the couple tried to charge my aunt and uncle for breaking the window..and the one surviving dog was given back to them a few days later...big deal they had to pay the vet bills an for a new window...what I can't figure out is what was the vet thinking about giving the poor dog back to them.

Ending Relationship
Posted: 2/15/2008 7:49:06 AM
I know there has been postings about disabilities but I do have a question..Would you or have you ended a relationship because of a disability whether it be yours or your partners? The reason I ask is because my partner just ended our relationship and stated it was because my disability(bad back from surgery) effected when we could or couldn't have sex.He knew all about it before we started anything serious as I was always upfront about it..It never seemed to be an issue or least he said it wasn't.Not looking for sympathy just was curious if anyone else has gone through this.

Posted: 2/15/2008 7:40:42 AM
Never watched soap operas myself..life really is enough of a soap opera for me don't need to watch it on tv as well..when I was younger we used to be able to tell what time it was because of our neighbour.it didn't matter where she was but you always saw her heading home to watch Another World..we would be outside and would come inside and tell mom it's 2 o'clock Ollie is home..lol

Posted: 1/30/2008 8:26:18 PM
Snowflakes as one that is on ODSP I totally understand what you are going through..unfortunatly there are some narrow minded people who can't get passed the not working issue..it's very sad we are labelled an passed over before someone actually takes the time to get to know us..I myself have been on ODSP for about a yr now due to a failed back surgery that I no longer can do the work before that I used to..but that doesn't make me less of a person actually makes me a better one as I am more understanding of others.Hang in there an keep your head held up high..

Sleepwalking
Posted: 11/9/2007 11:24:14 AM
My youngest daughter was terrible for sleep walking..she usually walked all around the livingroom before making it over the gate to the kitchen an head out to the back door where she would head out an sit on the swing..she also had a friend that stayed over from time to time an she also walked in her sleep so I found out one night..I came out of my bedroom only to find her walking around my daughter (they were sleeping on floor in the livingroom)..she was stomping her feet an saying:shit shit shit oh shit that's wrong...her mom was horrified when I told her as they are really religious an swearing of any form was not tollerated...my oldest daughter only walked in her sleep once that I can remember an she thought we were camping an decided she need to go to the bathroom only thing is she thought the toy box was the out house..needles to say all the toy needed to be cleaned...

Impossible to get for..I know this all to well myself..this yr our family was stumped as to what to get our mom who is now in a nursing home.so I came up with the idea of each one of her children going to get a family photo taken an then it will be put in a photo album so she can view it at any time she wishes...
I don't know your family but I think it might be something they might enjoy.

Prisoner in one's own home
Posted: 7/27/2007 11:24:53 AM
Well I for one don't live my life by statistics..but I guess maybe for you and your community that is what you do...I wasn't looking to be attacked or have others being attack either with my question..sorry but I am not used to have murderers running loose in the small community where I live so maybe I am not so city intelligent either ..what's happening here is not a normal thing so I thought I would ask how to deal with it..Yes I know I need to still live my life but again I ask how do I deal with the fear so I can...

Thank you for those you are so understanding about my fears...an yes I do live on the out skirts of a rather small community..yes I know many murders an such go on all over the place an I sympathize an worry of those who deal with it on a daily bases..I how ever till now hadn't had such things going on litterly in my own back yard..to my knowledge the police are still considering him to be in this area as it is where he feels most comfortable with the surroundings an yet must be feeling things closing in around him so they are concerned as to what he might do now...where I live all locks have been checked an changed if need be an chain locks as well are installed.

http://www.crimealerts.net/huron.htm...here is the link to what is going on about the homicides at the present time..now tell me if this was happening litterly in your own back yard wouldn't you be worried..an for those attacking me for being worried an for feeling like a prisoner in my home makes me wonder about humanity...I guess maybe if I had asked about oh let's say a size of a man or how they use it instead of asking how do you deal with a feeling it would have been more exceptable.

We have been told to litterly stay in our homes, leave outside lights on,lock doors an windows so how can one not feel like a prisoner in their own home..the last 2 homicides happened on the first side road outside of the next town where I used to live an my one daughter still does live..all that was between where it happened an where she lives is a farmers field an yes it is the same farm where the couple were killed..so excuse me for being worried...all I was asking is how does one getting over the feeling..not to be attacked for asking...

I'm not just worried about my own safety but everyone until this guy is picked up..wouldn't you be a tad worried living alone and all this was happening near you..I have called all of my friends an family to check on them daily since this all began..question is how does one get over the feeling of being a prisoner in their own home.

You know since the Canada wide man hunt for a man wanted in connection with one homicide in Windsor an the possible double homicide just outside Dashwood near where I live I have felt like a prisoner in my own home..locking patio doors, afraid to take the dog out on my own, being alone at nights etc...how does one get back control of their life?...

Gun violence Vs. Drunk Driving
Posted: 7/24/2007 12:24:20 PM
Nascar I full heartly agree with your last statement..my niece was killed 6 yrs ago by a drunk driver..she herself had been drinking but had done the right thing an had parked her car an was walking from where they had been to sleep over at a friends place when she was struck from behind by as it turns out another who had been with them earlier in the night(racing with against another) heading to the same friends place.
As for the fire arms I don't like them an will not have them in my home.my father used to go trap shooting in competitions an hunting as well but the fire arms where never kepted in the home..near the end he sold his guns an rifles to a dealer an switched to a bow an arrow which he enjoyed just as much..
