The polsters must have gotten a hold of the list of people who contributed to the 2004 Republican campaign Cotter- What about the Pollsters who have shown Bush's ratings in the toilet? With your logic then the pollsters must have polled people who contributed to the DNC when the numbers were low. What terror attacks? The only terror I wish to be protected from is that of the current administration. Exactly....Bush has done all he can do to protect the US. Thats why we havent had any terror attacks after 9-11

It is blantantly clear that the senate has not and will not listen to the vast majority of americans on the topic of immigration. I find the senate actions most disturbing, because of their blatant contempt they have towards the American people. It is clear to me no matter if you are Republican or Democrat that you need to vote some new blood in to office in 2006. Hopefully the house of reps will listen to the will of the american people more so than the senate. Forum Posting Guidelines

I dont think that Iraq is even close to Vietnam Over 58000 american dead in vietman Over 2000 in Iraq Vietnam was a War started by a democrat Iraq war started by a republican Antiwar sentiment for Vietnam spurred on by the Draft Antiwar sentiment for Iraq spurred on by a hatred of Bush the NVA were a well organized fighting force Insurgents are not well organized. This is not another Vietnam...as much as you all want it to be. I wonder what the sentiments will be if a democrat takes the white house in 2008. I'll probably see the same people posting how the democrats fought and won the war in IRAQ and they will give themselves a pat on the back.

I believe that people want to live in freedom. I see that the Iraqis are having an election to determine their government. They have had elections with awesome turnouts for the consitiution and interim government. I see hope in an area that had no hope for freedom. We have a baby democracy forming in an area that is ruled by violent dictators and all I hear from the left is how evil America is.... I believe that when we are done in Iraq that it will be a beacon of freedom in the middle east.

Darjeeling I know that your an intellectual Giant so please give me some alternative choices to what we are doing right now in IRAQ and fighting the War on Terror. I bet you would rather try to appease the terrorists and try to make friends with them. That strategy is working well right now in France as their cities are burning to the ground. All I hear out of the left is venom and vigor with no solutions to any of our problems. And I'll restate my question to world to you: Are the Iraqi people better off now than they were with Saddam in Power.

I recently got into an argument with a woman who didnt agree with a statement I made comparing men and women in sports. I said,"Men are superior to women in everysport." Now I can see why she would be upset, but can you name a sport that women are better than men are? You must keep the skill level comparison in mind, meaning,a female pro basketball player would dominate me on th court, but get killed in one on one with a pro male basketball player. Any thoughts?

I agree that people can disagree. I am a republican and voted for bush twice...however I think that bush has let me and many of my conservative peers down in a few major ways. One- Republicans used to be the party of limited government, yet our government is bigger that ever. Two, Republicans used to be the party of limited spending, yet under the bush administration spending has gone out of control. Three, Bush on one hand is doing a good job of protecting our interests by taking the fight abroad, but on the other hand has done nothing to protect our borders from illegal immigrants. The only thing that he has going for him that he can call him self a conservative is the Tax Cuts I for one am for limited government in all aspects of our lives.

Here a message to the DEMS here on POF. It is time for a new playbook. Bush hating will not win back control over the government. It is time for some new ideas to come out of the "progressive party." If you continue to go down this path you will lose in 06 and in 08. I love debating people on different subjects...such as taxes, death penalty, the war in Iraq, and so on. How can you stimulate someones mind and challenge someones views when the only response in the a***nal is essentially BUSH SUCKS. If you dont like tax cuts...tell me why you dont like them..and what you would do instead of tax cuts If you don't like the War....tell me fundamentally why you are against it...and how give an alternative to war that actually works. You may not agree with conservatism or the republican party...but give someone a reason to listen to you with some new ideas. Just my two cents
