I can only say I do not know if that has been the case for anyone - woman or man. Yes, it can & does happen to blokes as well.
Best thing to do is to avoid potential risk situations until you KNOW you are safe with whoever.

My personal 'bad' experience was with a female who de-generated into a stalker and started following my kids & ex wife.
She even rang me on my mobile whilst I was working away to tell me that my ex & my daughter were at my home, what they both were wearing, where my ex now lived, who with etc.
So - be careful. It is not only you ladies who can fall victim!

Reasonable Force.

The Tony Martin 'fiasco' came about because he prepared his hall way & other parts of his home to create a 'kill zone' & dropped a few hints locally that led his visitors to think he was worth burgling again.
He then waited for his visitors to arrive & used, what I believe, was an illegally held pump action shotgun, to do what many people regarded as justified.
Having ‘scored’ 1 good hit he was foolish enough to chase the other miscreant outside & shoot him in the back.
Whilst what he did was 100% understandable (& largely justified), it was not allowed within UK law.
Had he caught the ‘poor innocent lads’ (HA!) in his house & shot at them with his legally held double barrelled shot gun (not used the pump type) & not chased after the one he had missed he would have had a reasonable defence in law of self defence.
Though the law is seemingly wrong & the ‘poor innocent lads’ did get their just deserts the entrapment & preparation dropped poor Mr Martin right in to the dock.

Read ‘Buffy’s’ explanation of “Reasonable Force”. She is a switched on young lady who knows exactly what she is talking about from the ‘sharp end’.


IF you do ‘stiff’ a burglar
MAKE SURE the courts understand that you were acting in self defence.
DONT’T give them a kicking AFTER you have immobilised them & make darned sure you ring 999 as soon as you can & get the Blue Team there asap.
