This show and Ghost Whisperer are my favs. I'm also very much into urban paranormal lit lately.

Do you suffer from feeling out of their league?

Definitely! Well, actually that only happened once. Last spring I started dating a guy who was absolutely perfect. I am not exaggerating, he was perfect in every way...very attractive, great sense of humor, wonderful parent, spiritually evolved, hard worker, etc. We didn't date long due to a weird mishap brought on by some well-meaning yet misguided friends of mine, but during the time that we were talking, I felt like I would never quite measure up to what he deserved. However, instead of allowing myself to feel insecure, I used it as a circumstance to be inspired. I wanted to do more and be more because of him. I learned so much during our brief time together. Dating someone "out of your league" isn't always such a bad thing!

who recovers faster after a breakup men or women?
Posted:

I feel that men and women feel the hurt on the same level, but in my experience, it seems that men internalize it more. Is it because women have more of a support system to discuss their feelings of hurt/disappointment/anger, in the form of gal pals ready with pints of Ben and Jerry's, and men view it as a sign of weakness to admit their suffering?
Women will typically cry, mope, and overanalyze every aspect of the failed relationship before deciding that they have "healed" enough to move on.
The men I've known typically "brush it off" publically while inwardly deciding either to forgo any future entanglements based on their bad experiences or quickly going on the rebound.
JMHO, of course, what do I know?

My therory on big guys(no not talking about his*****)

I personally find myself attracted to big guys..not necessarily "fat", but big is my cup of tea. I want my man to be bigger than me; it somehow makes me feel more feminine. A bigger guy is more than likely not constantly obsessing over his calorie intake for the day or how many miles he's yet to run this week and focusing more on enjoying our time together.

stacj, I just went to that drive-in last weekend...the Big Mo. It was the first time I'd been since seeing ET as a child...that definitely gives my age away, lol. Saw 21; loved the whole drive-in experience and ya can't beat the price!

When a guy is "perfect" as you say right from the get go, there is a good chance he is working his charm.
This is SO true. I learned this lesson very recently and have finally taken the blinders off. Perfection does not exist! If something appears to be too good, it usually is. It makes a lot of sense to take things slow and build a rock-solid friendship before preceeding with anything more emotional.

What book changed your world?

Pretty much any of Pat Conroy's works... he gave me a deep love for the south with his lush, lengthy descriptions.

Are you lonesome tonight?

I miss couch snuggling, stealing back the covers at night, having someone to take turns making the coffee, someone to browse flea markets with on lazy Sunday afternoons and then later share the Sunday newspaper. Ahh...can't dwell on that kind of thinking for too long..

I can't believe no one's mentioned the new cartoon that I've become so addicted to...Chowder...the kids and I find ourselves quoting it randomly.
