PC or MAC ???
Posted:
12/28/2006 2:10:14 PM
There is an open source office suite that you can download for free. It will open word documents. It works on both the mac, and the pc. You can find it here:
www.openoffice.org
The mac has better graphic features but a lot of programs don't use them yet. Vista (next version of windows) has a lot of features "borrowed" from the mac but the mac has had them since about 2000.
For photo editing there is a free tool called gimp that works well but it's difficult to learn (it competes with professional tools). It works on windows and the mac. You can get it here:
www.gimp.org
The mac also comes with a program that has simple photo editing, and cataloging called iPhoto. For most people this is good enough. I'm a person who likes the profession features of gimp and I still use iPhoto for cataloging.
For virus's the mac is better right now. Less virus's are made for the mac and it has good security builtin so virus have trouble doing anything to the computer even if you run them. This doesn't mean the mac can't get viruses but it's significantly less likely to do so.
The main drawback of the mac is it doesn't have the same game support that the pc does.
Personally I recommend amac unless you a huge game fan. If you are a game fan it's probably better to get a game console, and a mac rather than a pc.

I just found this on the web:
Average Time to Orgasm (male)
Kinsey found that 75% of all males reach orgasm within 2 minutes of penetration, and felt that it was normal, though he does note that it "may be most unsatisfactory to a wife who is inhibited or natively low in response." Way to state the obvious, doc.
Average Duration of Orgasm (male)
3-5 seconds.
Average Time to Orgasm (female)
Females in Kinsey's studies averaged a little less than 4 minutes to reach orgasm during masturbation, though for coitus it took anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes.
Average Duration of Orgasm (female)
5-8 seconds. Orgasmic contractions in both sexes occur at intervals of 0.8 seconds.

average body?
Posted:

I posted a site a while ago that had the averages.
Average weights by height:
http://www.halls.md/chart/height-weight.htm
According to it I'm just slightly above average (like 2 or 3 pounds). However I'm chubby.
Personally I don't think the value of a person is something that can be measured on a scale.
But that said it's interesting to know how I compare to others.

Maybe women should post times and those numbers can be averaged!

There are people who make amazing first impressions that are all wrong.
There are people who make bad first impressions that are right.
Gut instincts lie, and the mind can mislead us in decisions of the heart.
No one knows if the person is the right one, or the wrong one. All we can do is keep trying and hope for the best.

The Lover Style Profile Test
Posted:
9/19/2006 9:08:26 PM
The Suave Lover
36% partner focus, 66% aggressiveness, 30% adventurousness
Based on the results of this test, it is highly likely that:
You prefer your romance and love to be traditional rather than daring or out-of-the-ordinary, you would rather pursue than be pursued and, when it comes to physical love, you concentrate more on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about your performance.
This places you in the Lover Style of: The Suave Lover.
The Suave Lover is a wonderful Lover Style, and is reminiscent of some of the most classic lover figures of all time, such as Casanova or Don Juan, or more recently James Bond (several of the "Bond girls" fit this type, too). This shouldn't be confused with a "player" or someone who is solely interested in physical love, but someone who is looking for an incredibly elusive thing: a worthy partner. The Suave Lover is a treasure to find, but can be incredibly difficult to hold on to, once found.
In terms of physical love, the Suave Lover can sometimes be surprisingly tender. Given the right setting, and the right lover, the Suave Lover can be a delight in bed.
Best Compatibility can probably be found with: The Devoted Lover (most of all) or the Romantic Lover, or the Liberated Lover.

Life Cycle
Posted:
7/27/2006 1:37:12 PM
I get the strangest emails. This is one I received today.
Brish
I think the life cycle is all backwards.
You should start out dead, get it out of the way.
You wake up in an old age home, feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink alcohol, you party, you're generally promiscuous and you get ready for High School. You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a baby, then, you spend your last 9months floating peacefully with luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap, larger quarters everyday, and then you finish off as an orgasm.
It's got to be better this way cause this getting old sucks!

Personality tests
Posted:
7/11/2006 7:53:38 PM
First choice:
Analytical - Trustworthy - Self Assured
Your momentary sensitivity represents that which is of high quality and durable. Consequently, you like to surround yourself with little "gems," which you discover wherever they are overlooked by others.
Thus, culture plays a special role in your life. You have found your own personal style, which is elegant and exclusive, free from the whims of fashion. Your ideal, upon which you base your life, is cultured pleasure. You value a certain level of culture on the part of the people with whom you associate.
Second choice:
Romantic - Dreamy- Emotional
You are a very sensitive person. You refuse to view things only from a sober, rational standpoint. What your feelings tell you is just as important to you. In fact, you feel it is important to have dreams in life, too.
You reject people who scorn romanticism and are guided only by rationality. You refuse to let anything confine the rich variety of your moods and emotions.
My results from a real personality test I took (briggs myers):
INTJ
Just google intj to see what psychologists think of me.

At the Dentist

At the Dentist
A dentist noticed that his next patient, an elderly lady, was looking very
nervous so he decided to tell her a little joke as he put on his gloves.
"Do you know how they make these gloves?" he asked.
"No, I don't." she replied.
"Well," he spoofed, "there's a building in China with a big tank of latex
and workers of all hand sizes walk up to the tank, dip in their hands,
let them dry, then peel off the gloves and throw them into boxes of the right
size."
She didn't crack a smile.
"Oh, well, I tried," he thought.
But five minutes later, during a delicate portion of the dental procedure,
she burst out laughing.
"What's so funny?" he asked.
"I was just picturing how condoms are made!" she said.

Women Drivers lmao

I read that women get into less car accidents than men.
I have a theory!
When women are putting on make-up, doing their hair, talking on a cell phone, while driving effortlessly men see this and wonder how they do it the men get into accidents because they aren't paying attention to the road.
In the future could you women stop doing this please?! We lose so many good men that way!

Superiority Complex or Complex Debate
Posted:
7/8/2006 8:14:56 PM
The difference alot of the time is many argue from their emotions, rather than removing themselves and using their intellect.
Most people can't detach their emotional minds from a debate. Unfortunately it means there are a lot of topics that will never have any reasonable discussions. Try debating about religion to see what I mean.
Brazen, have you ever heard of skepticality? It's an online radio show about critical thought. I think you might enjoy it. Message me if you want to know more.

Hang out in the pof forums!
Have a BBQ. I just made BBQ teriyaki grilled chicken sandwiches. I overcooked the chicken a bit but it's still fun to do.
Read a book.
Go to www.pandora.com and listen to some music. Just select a song, or group you like and it tries to find music that you like. Eventually it asks you to register and you need a USA postal code. Just use 90210. Found out about all kinds of bands that I never knew of before.
There is a canada day thing at the milllwoods rec center (I think that's what it is called, info about it is in another thread). They have activities all day long.
Go to a farmers market.

What is the first thing that comes to yr mind...
Posted:
6/29/2006 10:10:01 PM
I found it!
A while ago someone asked me what love was. My answer was long so I used a text editor. It turns out that I didn't deleted it.
This was my response:
Well, I thought about it and I still think it's very difficult to explain.
The simplest answer is one just feels it. I doubt that's the answer that you're looking for.
I think love can best be described as bitter/sweet insanity.
It's about wanting time it self to stop when you're in their arms and getting upset that it doesn't.
Love is the hollow feeling that one gets when they are not around. The anticipation of seeing them again. The joy of seeing them walk through the door.
Love is the grey the world turns when they are sad, and the bright contrast of color the world turns when they are happy.
Love is not knowing what the future will bring but not caring because as long as they are with you everything will be okay.
Love is the calmness that is felt when their body is pressed against yours and you can feel their heartbeat.
Love is finding something that belongs to them and smelling it so that a part of them is near when they are not.
Love is seeing something magical in someone, and wanting them to see something magical in you.
Love is about not having any clue what you're doing but doing it anyways because it feels right.
Love is the belief that someone is more than just a person.
Love is believing that one person was created just for you because believing it feels good.
Love is beautiful because it can bring such an intense happiness.
Love is scary because one's emotional well being dependent on someone else.
Love is the desire to believe that fairy tale stories can be real, and feeling that they are.
Well, looks like I've ran out of time.
Love isn't a simple thing to explain. I hope my meager attempt shows a little bit about what love is.
Since I'm the one trying to learn about women shouldn't I be the one asking you questions?! You really caught me off guard! Thanks!

Farme'rs markets are basically buying directly from people who grow, raise, or make things.
Hmm, maybe I should go to one this weekend. I haven't been to one in a while.
