It may be a little early, but o well!

A father is a person,
But a true Dad is a man.
The person to brush you off,
And take you by the hand.

He taught me things,
I'll never forget.
Like catching a baseball,
And how to hit.

For tweenty years now,
He's led my way.
Giving up his paycheck,
For my new day.

He's always been my hero,
As he fathers with great pride.
He's made me the man I am,
The equal by his side.

So this one goes out to you dad,
On your great day.
And sorry if I forgot it,
But, Thank You, by the way!

Love is a power word,
So don't use it oh so weak.
For one day you'll have no one,
You'll feel pettyless and meak.

So my advice to you,
Is hold noone to a grudge.
Let there love in side of you,
Just leave your heart to judge.

You may find that special one,
So hold on to them tight.
Or you may end up quite like me,
And sleep with noone at night.

One thing in relationships,
don't hold them to a law.
For people always make mistakes,
It's just a human flaw.

I write this poem with my heart,
To try to kill the pain.
It's like a Thunderstorm inside of me,
And I'm drowning in the rain.

I'm sorry for mistakes I made,
I tried my very best.
But I wish for us to see this,
As putting our love to the test.
