Percieved v value, whatever it may be, equivocates an inherent capitalization of matter. We are bound by that which we worship. Christ was just another golden calf.

Jesus Was A Capricorn ........ Kris Kristopherson............................................................................
Posted:

Jesus was a Capricorn, he ate organic foods.
He believed in love and peace and never wore no shoes.
Long hair, beard and sandals and a funky bunch of friends.
Reckon they'd just nail him up if He come down again.
Jesus Was A Capricorn - Kris Kristopherson
'Cos everybody's got to have somebody to look down on.
Who they can feel better than at anytime they please.
Someone doin' somethin' dirty, decent folks can frown on.
If you can't find nobody else, then help yourself to me.
Get back, John!
Egg Head's cousin Red Neck's cussin' hippies for their hair.
Others laugh at straights who laugh at freaks who laugh at squares.
Some folks hate the whites who hate the blacks who hate the clan.
Most of us hate anything that we don't understand.
'Cos everybody's got to have somebody to look down on.
Who they can feel better than at anytime they please.
Someone doin' somethin' dirty, decent folks can frown on.
If you can't find nobody else, then help yourself to me.
Help yourself, brother.
Help yourself, Gentlemen.
Help yourself Reverend.

will a hand I know, will it reach for me?
to abruptly awaken or carress in sincerity?
fingers enfolded to comfort gracefully
stop these of mine from reaching out in futility.
crumpled in dismay they claw up the mountain
searching refreshment from that allegorical fountain
mufflling the frustration that is forever mounting
when coupled palms will open to the peace astounding.
(certainly lacking, but my forced attempts to rhyme always do, how ya been huckleberry?)

Waylon Jennings - I've Always Been Crazy
I've always been crazy and the trouble that it's put me through
I've been busted for things that I did, and I didn't do
I can't say I’m proud of all of the things that I’ve done
But I can say I’ve never intentionally hurt anyone
I've always been different with one foot over the line
Winding up somewhere one step ahead or behind
It ain't been so easy but I guess I shouldn't complain
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane
Beautiful lady are you sure that you understand
The chances your taking loving a free living man
Are you really sure you really want what you see
Be careful of something that's just what you want it to be
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane
Nobody knows if it's something to bless or to blame
So far I ain't found a rhyme or a reason to change
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane

it is a slippery slope I find too soon,
the embankments of polar dunes.
ascending the hills only to loose grip
and then it is off again on another trip.
stable footholds have become a rarity,
just a breather before diving into obscurity,
but peace will I eventually find
before the end of time halts it's grind.
(wuz up ice, long time no see)

was reading a biography on the lost god Dali and this tumbled forth...
apeman walking on his hands
with miniature shoes upon each finger
across a field of eggshells and lost pages
till teetering into an oasis of quicksand
spilling out from tweenst the thighs
of a ghostly Thatcher with medusa hair
and criminal smile
as Freud sat in in a tree
picking scabs
stabbings clouds resembling his departed dad
uh yeah, or something like that...

love the language in that one Cookie.. traversing a labrynth of joists groovy
"imagining windows"
once nailed shut
now flung open
to let the breeze waft in
carrying the scent of burning jasmine and smoldering thunder
i unzip my sides and collapse with the shadows
we lept through and found Happy Hour meant more than cheap bourbon and bitter barflys
and that it was bound by no clocks
or panes
or measurable sanity spilled into a crack in the sidewalk
and absorbed by deviant ants hell bent on annihalating the underworld
ok enough madness has leaked out for now. thanks for letting me scribble on your pages

loved the first 6 lines but cant imagine what about our convo could have spawned that closing... Christ on a rubber crutch, it was suppose to lift your spirits and hopefully grant new insight.
heres one i scribbled last week
[ Kafka commited adultery ]
Kafka committed adultery
with the wife of the founder of Raid
while butterflies gathered outside his locked door,
praying for the larvae in the pan.
Breakfast of Idle Gods
shitting shape into an amorphous commode
ovals twisting in the mists of myths.

hey rosie just thought I would drop off the muse droppings I recieved during our talk:

we are plastic soldiers melting under an Indian sun
give wings to coils and watch the sky spread open
sticks and stones may build a home for my bones,
but your words can never cage me.

nice up there cookie,
lemme unzip this bag of brains and see what spills out ...
flames on the highway
and no rain in the sky
neo gypsies resorting to thumbing down passing clouds
and pitching shoes at the crescent queen
ringers for securing peace in transience
forever on the wane
till starless
and then the clouds wept as all fires were put asunder

Conflagration of a Collapsing Constellation
My shadow painted warnings
across an erupting sun
in the blood of fading moonlight,
hid heiroglyphic epiphanies
in the last sparkle of a burning comet
of linguistic folly,
and promised fiery eros
to bound mermaids
drowning
in the stagnancy of it all.
If shades could wear shades,
mine would wear the ones I NEVER do, but should
though the lack of color
can not obscure
the beams form this macabre rainbow

as the ghost of Sartre giggles in the corner

scratching holy ass
and hoping the final curtain fall doesnt resemble a sleeping Oz
awaking from a bad dream
frozen in sweat
swaddled in fear
and smothered in complacency

Speaking Easy on the Divinity of Mortal Love
dainty monsters gorge on dreaming fools
eating pagoda pie
and smiling with God while Buddha tends the Garden
.3
critical termites
with a note from Freud stapled to their mutha lovin' exoskeletons
gnawed the legs from my bar stool
and i tumble from heaven in a freefall
broken only by the need to Capitalize where the muse's toned reflection speaks it
not where haggard hags with rulers of self righteousness deem it proper.
Such hideous heirophants of unholy hazards dubbed doctrine.
.5
seeking a window where a door is erected
one way out or revolving and kaleidoscopic?
double dribbling thoughts
after biting the lips off silent fish caught in the nets of orthodoxy
1.3
we laugh and splash through our puddles of blunders
like making the bed with piss stained sheets
don't ask what's soaked up by the pillows
we howl and tromp through the gack of our muck
like overdosing autoclasts with a paint-bucket full of heartache
dayglo green, deep red, and explicatively pitch black

I went digging through a box of notes
pricked my finger on an A sharp
and broke a B minor
jumbled in there with them were
splintered question marks,
peacock eyes that saw only in black and white
a couple of lost marbles
a few loose screws
and half a dozen phone numbers scribbled on whiskey stained bar napkins
I had packaged my blues
thought ya might get a kick outta this semi-new write I scibbled the other day Cookie.

a dreary deary phoning in a frantic panic of
pyro'd pantomimes
mimicking a conflagration of contemplations
under smoke stained sheets
covering canary corpses
who sang the theme song to their own demise
as cats creeped on the window sill
watching it all go down like a murderer late to this own show
but still able to kill the thrill of blood on lace and songs silenced in a futile serenade
now he just plucks a feather from the fallen aviary
and writes apologies to the taxidermist
upon the tiny bird eyes that have seen so much
wishing they both could vision clear skies and plump worms
instead of crimson pools and fallen yellow fools

played nightly under the Hill
dried flesh in palm size cards

as each pot is claimed a spirit cries in vain
fate dealt by gnarled fingers
of tender touch
the fall already marked
just sayin howdy rose, much luv gal.

just love your poignant endings Transcend. I must say it has signifigantly influenced the continual refining of my writting styles and techniques. I appreciate your comments and will try not to be such a stranger, but have found another site that is far more inspiring to the poetic muses in a myriad of ways.
The brutality of the animal kingdom and our place in it as beasts is rather interesting and at times simply scary. Our primal nature is truly one of endless depth and voracity as we prey upon each other consciously and subconsciously despite the flowers and rainbows some hide behind. I dig your whole take on it in this witty scribe, esp. the bit about Mr Colt.
well its time to get scrubbed up and grab a brewskie before heading out for blues and booze. take care fellow poet, until next time,
Adrian

Where Gods Frolick
1.
Headless titan roams the gaseous clouds of creation
peering into buckshot wormholes of interdimensional dementia
while phoenix tears fall from the sun
splashing into the sauna of a chilly aurora borealis.
2.
Infinity spat a lie of immortality
contaging a comet just passing by -
innocent bystander of illustrious defiance.
3.
Jackals belonging to secret agent nebulas
order take out from the merchant on mars
secret sauce spooned from the rings of Saturn
and drizzled across
primal voids
crackling with the static produced from imploding stars.
4.
One touch
enough
to induce orgasms in the serpents upon medusas head
they seep as her tears
and fall upon the tongue of the muse
who chews
the resilience off lost moons
like the rind of an aged blunder
