Passing Time
Posted: 9/17/2009 5:28:27 PM
When time seems to just pass away

We look back not sure what to say

Walked out the door with one big list

But all of it we undoubtedly missed

Like a child in the Candy store

No matter how many stops we wanted more

Never took a minute to look at the time

Thought we had plenty and everything was fine

No we can see it's getting dark

Oh lord where did we park

Then we laugh because we really don't care

Nothing says our adventure is going to end there

This day we've needed for more then a little while

Believe it went great you can tell by our smile!

The Answers Where?
Posted: 9/17/2009 5:27:07 PM
You say you have the answers for sure

But into the mix others you try to lure

You have to ask them for this and that

If you have to ask where's the answer really at

And if with you they don't agree

Then why would they help you on your little spree

If we don't expect a whole Hell of a lot

Disappointment we've very seldom got

Loyalty in life there's really is none

Knowing what they will do next sometimes is fun

We could guess and at times could be wrong

Pick ourselves up don't dwell on it long

Sit back into thought deep in the night

With the key board we gentley start to write

Never knowing if the words will ring true

Or even if there's any meaning in this for you

Yet it relieves the stress and the strain

Let's some work come out of the brain

And if this you should take the time to read

I thank you very much that's just what I need!

Cracker's Coast
Posted: 9/17/2009 5:25:28 PM
Life for them is boring at best

So you come on in at their request

The hatchet seemed buried long ago

At least their words told you so

By the drama you know they're fed

What will happen is already going through your head

But you give them the benefit of the doubt

Knowing soon you will figure it out

Their words weren't worth a shit

The center of the drama they make sure you get

Bringing together the fire and the gas

They supply the air to be sure it will last

From another spot they must fetch

Something to be sure the fire will catch

As a friend they tried to disguise

But it was an enemy right before our eyes

It really doesn't matter any more

We walked away and locked the door

Yet they still think that we're blind

So new fuel they search to find

If you like to face the Ghost

Then please won't you join the Cracker's Coast!

Where should you meet them
Posted: 9/7/2009 5:43:19 AM
A meet is just that and nothing more. One can never know how it will turn out. It's like the old roulette wheel. You give it a spin and hope for the best. Yet expecting nothing. With that you will find less disappointment and have more pleasure meeting someone. That is how I see it anyway.

Do We Fit

Do We Fit

Once again in life alone we will sit

Trying to figure where in this life we'll ever fit

Not shy or afraid of being alone

A little tired of new face and moving the home

Maybe need to sit back and wait

Whatever happens is just a twist of fate

Life may not seem that great to some

But for me it's a journey that has only just begun

I try to relax and take things in stride

Working hard to continue life's ride

Yet at times that we never know when

All at once we realize we've lost once again

Every day there's a big smile acroos my face

From the memories of people that have been in my space

To many these writing may not be crystal clear

But for me each ones a time , date, and year!

S0 Damn Mad

Down many trails we have traveled

Adventures have completely unraveled

Many chanced we have took

Yet lived our life like an open book

Some times we won and some we lost

Yet we were not afraid to pay the cost

Maybe into your live no one can really see

But does that make you better then him, her or me?

Talents no doubt we all have some

Maybe even hidden ones that are still yet to come

In this life we all have a place

Even if you feel no need to share some space

For you Life must be really sad

How can you walk around always so damn mad?

Why not come up on the porch and kick up your feet

Let me get you something to drink or bite to eat

Come down off that throne that's so high

Don't let a little fun and laughter pass you by

In the morning different of us you my think

And even realize that some days everyone shit will stink!

We've all been bruised

Through out this life we've all been bruised

Many days we're just confused

Still we make it through another day & night

Even then things just don't seem right

For everything it's us that they blame

Like we are the only player in the big game

Conversation we have very few

And with the bull shit we have to be threw

On egg shells we'll no longer walk

If you want to **** please just don't talk

Life is to short of all this stress

And it seems we've failed all your test

We've tried harder each and every day

But in this whole thing how can we stay

Answers there really just doesn't seem to be one

And no doubt we're worse off then when this begun

Can't we simply agree to only be friends

Start another chapter where this one will end

Trying to keep some of the love in our heart

Then hug , kiss and very quietly part

Clean Break
Posted: 8/15/2009 5:10:14 PM
What's it really going to take

Just to make one clean break

We got together but all's the same

It's not going to work no ones to blame

The caring feelings may still be there

But it's not Love that we now share

You want me to come out and stay

Yet the pressure just pushes me away

Can't make all the little things right

In one week or a single night

Please don't cry as I leave

I hurt too you must believe

So just try and let it all go

Life will get better you surely know

You deserve more then I could give

Different ways of life we both live

I will always Cherish that last kiss

And you I will really miss

So please please don't you cry

Let's just Kiss and say Good Bye!

What I've Seen

What I've Seen
A Poem by unclecharlie

In this life I'm not green
There's many things that I have seen
Watched Love from the very start
Witnessed as it fell apart
Known people with plenty of hope
Then throw it away for a little dope
I've eyed people with no means
working hard to fill their dreams
Watched a country go up in arms
Possibly by some false alarms
Seen leaders come and go
A country shrink instead of grow
And the people that beg and plead
Just for the simple things they need
Then the times people are sent to war
When not many understand what it's for
Is it to prove we are big and strong
Or because with others we can't get along
Then the ones that enlist and serve
Do they get what they deserve
Or is everyone's usefulness depleted
When by others they're no longer needed
A country built on " United as One"
Has it's destruction finally begun?

Cool Morning Breeze
A Poem by unclecharlie

The sun peeks right through the trees
I can feel the cool autumn breeze
Not to long have I been up
I love the porch and a steaming cup
Now retired and not a lot to do
So mornings like this are nothing new
But no two are ever the same
More like a new picture in an old frame
Still I love the crisp morning air
And the beauty that God has to share
I worked hard but really didn't mind
It paid off I hope to find
But for now I'll take what I can get
And each morning on the porch I will sit.

Given to You
A Poem by unclecharlie

Now I can let out the inter beast
Alone surrounded by silence and peace
My mind has time to slip away
Thinking through each and every single day
Finding a few things I have learned
Throwing away what is of no concern
But it always drifts back to may Happy Place
And all that I see is her beautiful face
Along with the simple life that we share
Plus how lonely I am when she isn't there
The list of things I had to do
Yet nothing got done as I waited on you
In many ways we're one of a kind
But the give and take we really don't mind
I found this woman loving and true
How could life get better then being with you?
Listen to the words that I say
It's you and me til Our Dying Day!
You may think I don't listen or that I am blind
But someone that Loves you More you'll never find
Let your regrets and fear be pushed to the side
And down life's road with me won't you ride
So jump on in and get your feet wet
Better then this life couldn't get
I thank you for all that you have done
And for being my only one.
Nothing will ever pull us apart
I have given you all of my Heart!

Just Slipped Away
A Poem by unclecharlie

We sit down at the desk turn on the light

Open the drawers for something to write

Got a thought spinning round in my head

Need to getting written before it goes dead

Papers spread out pen in my hand

Ran out of ink in the middle of understand

Through the drawers it's now a race

Another pencil or pen there isn't a trace

My God there are five kids that live there

Should be a crayon just about any where

Pacing the house like a lion in a cage

Got to try and remember this special page

Oh how lucky could I really be

Open the door and box of pens in front of me

Now to relax and calm just bit

Back at the desk I slowly sit

The words I want to write should easily flow

Got everything together I am ready to go

After all of that what can I say

My wonderful thought just slipped away!

As Hard Headed As Me
Posted: 12/30/2008 5:21:13 PM
Eye to eye we don't always see
I met someone as hard headed as me
We both have our own plan
And want it our way if we can
Neither one wants to bend
Some times it's tough for a project to begin
We both want a logical course
But we are stubborn like a horse
People I am sure laugh out loud
When we talk in the crowd
Our jokes they may never get
But that's why together we still fit
Not to many days are we sad
Nor are we very often mad
We communicate in our own way
Even if no one else get what we say
It's like a diamond in the rough
To see the whole picture for some may be tough
But we both have that certain appeal
So we know just what is real
If we can't laugh along the way
Then in bed we should stay
Yet we both know where we stand
That's together hand in hand!

Freedom ?

A Poem by unclecharlie
Freedom they say we've all got

But the truth that is not

More laws and rules every day

To be sure we live their way

Free to do as we please

That is as long as the Government agrees

For those that don't comply

We lock them up and say Goodbye

They can decide to kill or maim

But we aren't allowed to do the same

Terrorist they say they are not

But real proof other countries have got

They invade and tare the place apart

Because to live like US they should start

Not much difference here or there

The same meaning of Freedom we don't all share

The world is allowed to live as they please

That is if Our Government agrees

It's no wonder our country is hated

When to most of them we have dictated

Look at days in history that have past

Does Freedom really last

So before other countries they again attack

Maybe we need to get our own country back!

Camping on the Porch
A Poem by unclecharlie

Held her body next to mine

Lit a candle poured some wine

Hit the power on the radio

Turned the volume down real low

No longer could we just sit

With the beat we had to get

On the fire we threw some logs

Found a stick for some dogs

Really thought we could eat no more

But next came a little Sm-ore'

Marsh-mellows and Chocolate can't can't be beat

And Graham Cracker's are so sweet

Like a camping trip we once shared

But a little better this time we fared

A tent we didn't bring

We're on the porch in a swing

Loving memories we can make

With every little step we take

It never matter's where we might be

What matter's is your with me!

Nothings For Sure
A Poem by unclecharlie

In a world where nothings for sure
Love , at times , can be the easy cure
The troubles and worries just slip away
With the words your Love may have to say
The words may not mean to much
But they sooth us with a gentle touch
Letting us know that Love is true
When these words I hear from you
The one that has quickly took me in
With the thought that a new life can begin
A woman so thoughtful and kind
Hard to believe she's all mine
She has the beauty no one else can beat
How did I get lucky enough for us to meet
Now I am not sure what to do
I have all I want in this life with you
There isn't anything that I now crave
Except that every memory we can some how save!

Just a Little Buzz
A Poem by unclecharlie

We catch a little buzz and everything is funny

But do we stop and think about the money

It'd not just the cost for the buzz

Because effecting other things it really does

In and out of traffic you may dodge

Or a problem with the job it could even cause

For an accident you may need to pay

That is hard if your jobs taken away

Then some bills you may have forgot

So electricity you now have not

This may all fall right in line

As the way you live starts to decline

There's always a chance you won't give a shit

That is as long as you have another hit

Why others go through this is hard to see

It make absolutely no sense to me

Yet maybe at some time we've all been there

But it's a time most won't ever share

So for others we can be a little sad

Or we can smile and remember the fun we all once had!

Cyber Search
A Poem by unclecharlie

My Cyber search has come to an end
Into her life I can now blend
We don't have much of a routine
But we know the direction the other will lean
It's life simple and drama free
Just exactly how it should be
It's gentle romance but very little spice
The feeling of Love that's always nice
In our own world some times we've sat
As long as she with me I'm good with that
It's kind of like Mom and Pop used to be
Life is just great with her next to me
Everything is better that has touched
All of this is why I Love Her so much!

Loves Sacrifice
A Poem by unclecharlie

At times we have to sacrifice
To do so I no longer think twice
I am not rich but not poor
There is nothing I need any more
I have the things that make life great
A home, food, and the perfect mate
For me it's like a dream
That in the movies we have all seen
The dream for which we all wish
A prefect woman with the prefect kiss
The dream that could have never come true
If I had never met you
Better she says it can get
But I am content right where I sit
It's the dream that many won't see
But the one that has set me free
For many years this life I have debated
To find it I have surely waited
Now I thank the God above
With his help I found True Love!

The Life They Once Knew

The Life They Once Knew
A Poem by unclecharlie

Never seeming to sleep in peace
At night the Demons are released
They try and tare at the flesh
Never wanting for us to rest
Reminding us of what used to be
Many years before we were set free
The life the was horror and pain
Never sun shine always rain
Places where no one was safe
Things many can not contemplate
Young people at their wits end
That life was great they would pretend
During the day all was well
But with the darkness came the hell
Not a thing was ever clear
Death was something that was near
So many times they have lied
Luck was if one survived
Stories that could never be told
If one wanted to grow old
A life that was a test
Never seen by the rest
No one knew what they'd see
All alone but not free
There was no place to hide
Not a soul on their side
For many years they'd forget
But now and then still be hit
There is always the deep fear
Of the life that wasn't clear
How can one debate
An end to this wicked fate
They could run but never hide
To forget they all tried
The vicious night mares may never stop
Memories they've all got
Of the life they once knew
When there was nothing that they could do!

With You I shared
A Poem by unclecharlie

With you I have shared every written word
Even a life that was absurd
All the trials I've been through
The nasty things I've had to do
Points and times when life was great
Others when for death I'd wait
The loneliness that was there
When no one seemed to really care
Family life I never knew
Love I never felt til I met you
It's all there in black and white
A life that for years wasn't right
So the night mares you have seen
The written words explain what they mean
Now that the meaning you finally get
Next to me will you still sit ?
The words you've now read
Are from a life that's now dead
Once the hidden words you have read
There's nothing more that can be said !

Life On The Farm
A Poem by unclecharlie

Finally no need to hurry around
A simple life has been found
Get up at the crack of dawn
Stretch a little as we yawn
Got my coffee cup in hand
On the porch in boxer's I can stand
The sun rises in front of me
Country life has set me free
Got some chores that we must do
Then some relaxing once we're through
The horses all think that I am great
But only after they've all ate
That I am the boss I pretend
As I turn them loose again
They will nicker as if to call
That it's time to clean the stall
For many years I had to wait
But right now life is great
Got an awesome woman by my side
I am filled deep with pride
All of this many people just can't get
But this is for sure where I fit!

I hope that you can see
A Poem by unclecharlie

How could I ever know
The many way Love would show
Or even that I'd get weak
Every time I hear you speak
Like the woman from my dream
You showed me what Love should mean
It's committment and sacrifice
And caring without a price
It's wanting to spend every minute with you
Because no one else will do
It's my best friend and so much more
The smiling face that I adore
It's the tingling feeling that I got
When in the moment we we're caught
It's also about giving in
And the look on your face as you win
It's the sky rockets that I see
Every time that you Kiss me
It's a love that is true
When the days first and last thought are of you
I hope now you can see
That you we're really meant for me!

The Bomb Exploded
A Poem by unclecharlie

My brain now seems over loaded
The bomb was dropped and it exploded
At the bright lights I now stare
So many possibilities out there
A life that could be fruitful and grand
Yet not sure just where we stand
She opened up every door
In a place I've never really been before
It's not the husband and wife
More the partner for life
There is no thoughts of wealth and greed
Because each other we really don't need
Into her eyes I look real deep
She the one I hope to keep
But how long will it last
If we let things move to fast
I really long to be with you
But we should think it all through
I've lived life way to rough
And am I really good enough
Yes the bomb was dropped and it exploded
My mind now seems over loaded!

With Love I dance
A Poem by unclecharlie

Once again with Love I dance
I like the friendship and romance
It's in the way she makes me feel
And her visions that could be real
I like it when I am missed
And the closeness I can't resist
I like that I never feel alone
And no matter what I am home
I like that at night I dream
And wake up knowing what it should mean
I like that it's not husband and wife
And that we're partners in life
I like holding hands when we walk
And about anything we can talk
I like that we can disagree
But no matter what she loves me
I like that we can be silly and have some fun
And she wants to be the only one
I like it when we sit back and unwind
And a better woman I'll never find
I like that she is the special one
Thank you God for what you've done!

One Great Week
A Poem by unclecharlie

Once thought I lived in my own paradise
Now I must sit back and think twice
Spent a week in another land
Why I left just can't understand
It was like a life I once knew
Chilling on the farm alone with you
Even though nothing was crystal clear
What may happen next I didn't fear
There were no thoughts I needed to chase
I was in a happy place
Now I sit here all alone
Missing a place that felt like home
It's not just the place I miss
But the way she hugs and the kiss
Maybe the way she rubs my back
Or the great company I now lack
I have been down this road a time or two
But never missed anyone like I miss you
Like two friends from the past
Finally joined again at last
Like an empty hole in my heart
That started the minute that we'd part
Now not sure which way to go
But I miss you I am sure you know
It was the best week I ever had
Believe it proves life really isn't all that bad!

Meant For Me

God has sent many people to me
Why some times I just can't see
With some it's serious and others just play
Some move on and others stay
But everyone I will meet
And new friends I'll always greet
Some will deeply touch my heart
Helping the next chapter in life to start
Now into my life she seemed to drift
Making me smile giving me a lift
Letting me know that life is good
And being together I think we should
Yet it's like the fantasy
Of how I've dreamed life should be
That is learning as we go
Moving fast but some what slow
It's not about the time we've spent
But more about what each moment has meant
Not a single minutes has passed by
Where I stopped and wondered why
Because the answer is plain to see
She's the one that was meant for me!

A Phone Call Away
A Poem by unclecharlie

With simple words she'll make me smile
Forgetting all my troubles for a while
Making me see what is really great
In a life I some times hate
Living in a world some what my own
She lets us know I am not alone
Telling me stories and giving advice
That she loves me I need not think twice
Like the sun with each and every ray
She brightens every single day
My friend I wouldn't know what to do
If in my life I didn't have you
You have a place deep in my heart
And believe that it's just the start
God throws many people our way
Yet we decide who can stay
I am blessed more then a little bit
Because our paths have finally hit
Not enough times can I say
For you I am only a phone call away!

One of Those Days
A Poem by unclecharlie

By the end of the we just don't care
Maybe just sit and pull out our hair
Shack the head and slap the face
While the day we try to retrace
Always starts off nice and smooth
Drink some coffee and get into the groove
Gonna put a little bait on the hook
And then take it easy maybe read book
Planned to relax and be all alone
Probably should have shut off the phone
Haven't yet even started the fun
But the calls have already begun
Back and fourth ran around all day
Now just to bushed to even play
Drama there was only a little bit
That at times I just don't get
Now we sit with a Bud Light
It's quiet and a peaceful night
Yet no matter we always survive
And Thank the Good Lord that were alive!

Wouldn't it be great?
A Poem by unclecharlie

Wouldn't it be great?

We walk through life some time scuffle on our feet
We wave and everyone we try to greet
Many times reaching out a helping hand
Not caring where in society that they may stand
It's a fact that with them we can share
Showing there really are people that still care
No one is prefect or even close to what word means
We all take the same action when putting on our jeans
Who is better we need not debate
Because in their own way everyone is great
On many things we may not agree
But that's just the difference between you and me
Stones there is no need to ever throw
Because together we can still grow
We've all lived differently on that I am sold
Some of these stories to others should be told
We can learn from each other me and you
By sharing just what we have been through
We may even hang out, party, and debate
To make a new friend it's never to late
So as we look around at people we don't know
A smile and friendship is what we should show
Life is to short for drama and hate
If we could all get along it would be great
So won't you smile and hold your head high
Wave and greet people as they pass by
Someone else's day you could very well make
Remember no time or effort will it really take
If with some of this you agree
The next one you meet I hope is me!

How Long
A Poem by unclecharlie

How Long

Just how long will they stay
Those dreaded fears of yesterday
So much time seems to have past
But the fear does still last
The broken heart is some what mean
Or at least we have pretended
To ourselves we may have lied
But the fear we can not hide
Because the truth is pain to see
Now doubt it's reality
Never sure just how to win
But we can not cower or give in
Many battle we may pick
But the fear we will lick
Still we wonder how long it will stay
Those dreaded fears of yesterday?

As Time Goes On
A Poem by unclecharlie

Waking up feeling pretty great
Yet in bed for a minute we still wait
Every move makes this old body creak
But by no means are we at all weak
Stopping first at the coffee pot
Needing some that is strong and very hot
Then to the dreaded medicine chest
Need something for the pain as you surely guessed
Bottles are on each and every shelf
Things to fix or build up our health
Pills that cost more then our Food
Retired after 35 years and now we're screwed
The economy and government are about completely shot
What average people need they really care not
All our dues have in full been paid
Yet the benefits just seem to fade
For themselves they want it all and even more
They could care less about the ones that are poor
They eat caviar and drink imported beer
While how we'll eat tomorrow many of us fear
It just gets worse as the days have passes
My God how long will this last
Why can't they not worry about fame and throw out the greed
And look at our country and what our people need
Stop writing checks when the accounts over due
Run the country Balanced like we are expected too
Our houses are gone and cars repossess
We are in crisis just like the rest
Willing to bail out the big heavy name
How about treating the people some what the same
We only need a thousand or two
With Billions we may not know what to do
How about feeding our own people with nothing to eat
Help the ones out on the street
Maybe help the middle class give them a break
They are our workforce for heaven shake
If in this country more people were to get pissed
Maybe Government would remember that we exist
We do live in a country that's really great
But dollar fro dollar is it worth the rate
Our own country's money tight many things need to be done
Ask yourself why we are supporting yet another one?

Sugar Cubes
A Poem by unclecharlie

I was young when I took that trip
It started with just a little dip
In the water that was clear and cold
Just relax so I was told
Don't question them or be rude
Please except this sugar cube
It was sweet like all the ones before
Thought I'd have just one more
Off into the field they would stare
I looked but saw nothing there
They laughed at jokes I didn't hear
Then came Colors that were clear and bright
I laughed with them through out the night
Yet at what I didn't know
And my movements seemed so slow
My thoughts at times would just race
As the colors I would chase
I could not catch a single one
But chasing them was so much fun
Then all at once it came to me
That sugar cube was laces I'd finally see
I was on the acid track
My God how would I ever get back
To the way life used to be
Or did I want to stay in this extacy
Was it really all that bad
And could more sugar cubes be had
If one more I would greet
Maybe those colors I'd finally meet
Was it really a big deal
When excited and content I could feel
Yes I think that I am not done
Instead I'll try another one
Just one little cube of delight
To get me through one more night!

I am Only Me
A Poem by unclecharlie

We talk to people throwing words out into space
But into their lives would we find a place
Maybe from some just e-mails we should greet
And be friends longer then if we'd meet
But if the air waves should give you a scare
Remember by phone you are still there
I sat alone yet was invited in
Surprised that something would even begin
For a moment even called a friend
But it all seemed mostly pretend
Can't be anyone else but me
Believe you get just what you see
Thoughts and opinions are always there
And with others I am not afraid to share
Behind others I'll never hide
But if you need a friend I am on your side
If you expect to change who I am or what I do
That's not happened for no one else and won't for you
I have helping hand but not a lot of time
The best to chat is here on line
And if you find yourself in some kind of need
Just send an e mail I promise I'll read
But about me think what ever you want
Because my life no one can haunt
I have been done road full of pain and grief
The life I live now is such a relief
To only one person must I be true
That's to myself way before you!

If You Could Feel My Pain

Once protected just a few
Walked away before anyone knew
Now suffering the worst of pain
Another one dies in vain
From the life we once shared
Where nothing mattered and very few cared
It was the life of the lost
For every one there was a cost
People that no one could tame
Yet some just departed from the game
Never forgetting about a few
As they started a life that was new
Of some we all kept track
No matter what we had their back
In the end that wasn't true
Because no one was there for you
Myself how can I forgive
Dead before you had a chance to live
On me falls all the blame
I should have pulled you from the game
Even though we walked away
Every day we still pay
Now for you I can only cry
Just not sure how to say Good Bye
This side you'd never see
I am not the man I used to be
Now not sure what next to do
I big part of me is left with you
Not so many years before
We would have had to settle a score
Maybe now I am tame
Because things just aren't same
I loved you to say the least
Won't you please just REST IN PEACE!

Not for the weak Hearted

They say growing old isn't for the weak hearted
Yet for me it has just now started
Through out life I had it made
Then my health started to fade
Hospital visits I've made more then a few
Every time it's something new
First my ticker seemed to miss it's beat
Then I just couldn't eat
Next the memory was almost gone
I wondered how I could carry on
My pain some pills would relieve
Next thing you know I can't breathe
So in this hospital I now sit
I have a tube in every vien they could hit
My eyes are 1/2 way closed
I have tubes in my nose
Life isn't like it used to be
I am alive but not free
From this world I should have parted
Grow old isn't for the weak hearted!

When I am Weak
Posted: 9/14/2008 8:18:37 AM
With myself some times I fight
As I try t do what's right
Only looking at what's ahead
Being careful what I've said
Trying to not live a life of greed
Thinking of what others may need
Maybe a little I can give
As I try in peace to live
At times I think it's no use
So I try and find an excuse
Why life is not worth the strain
And why I need to end the pain
So Much pain inside of me
Making it so I am not free
Many times I feel weak
As the tears run down my cheek
Which way next do I go
In this life that I don't know
God gives me a guiding hand
But yet I just don't understand
Why he let's me survive
What's the reason that I'm still alive
When so many times before
I have met death at the door
Just not sure what it could mean
To be in this life I've never seen
Believe this is no dream,
I am on my knees as I scream
My life is like a disease
Father won't you help me please
Let me know what is right
Shine on me the guiding light
As the tear roll down my cheek
I am feeling really weak!

Blind Date # 29

This was blind date 29
I arrived and got into line
There were applications at the door
Drinks and finger food but not much more
Each app was delivered to her by hand
She looked it over while next to we'd stand
Mom would snap a shot or two
We were expected to mingle while she decided what to do
Time just seemed to drag
As I listened to other guys brag
About the girls they had met
And the action they could get
Yet stories I had none
I was only looking for one
Then for a raffle they took the stage
Mom start turning the cage
Saying not everyone made the cut
They were very sorry still there was no but
Deciding not to play any more
I just walked on out the door
Next I heard my name shouted
But that we'd match I surely doubted
So instead I departed with dignity and grace
That's just not my kind of place!

Feel The Heat
A Poem by unclecharlie

Arriving at about 7 o'clock
The place had just started to rock
Girls so hot you could feel the heat
Had to go in and get a seat
Watching as they strutted through door
My God can there still be more
Cameras flashing all around
A little paradise had I found
Now the Pimps started to show
Maybe this was the place where they all go
Short skirts that tightly fit
Wonder how close we could get
Slowly inches closer with each song
I'd be next to them before to long
Many people just sat and stared
They may have been a little scared
That didn't matter much to me
After all I am single and free
I took the news some what hard
Being told I needed to have a GAS CARD
Maybe the world is going down hill
What had happened to the trusty dollar bill
Into some pictures I would sneak
At those girls I had to peek
The cameras snapped and picture were took
Not one person gave me a second look
It sucked I had to leave that place
But at least there was a big smile on my face
Even though I was some what crushed
I got home and realized I'd been touched
The paper was folded nice and small
Saying you may not remember me at all
But this number with you I'll share
I noticed that at me you'd stare
Gas Card will come to pass
But friendship will always last
So just take a little chance
Call me so we can dance
You didn't seem to stay late
But the parting kiss was really great
To call she seemed to insist
I wonder if life can get better then this?

Crystal Ball
A Poem by unclecharlie

Now we look into the crystal ball

Will we see any of the future at all

Or will it stay cloudy and grey

Not a picture or single thing to say

Maybe we'll see a future warm and bright

Up until that one tragic night

It all crumbles at our feet

Now we're broke living on the street

Or maybe all our goals have been met

Went to the track won a big bet

Easily up on cloud nine

Who ever thought Life could be this fine

Yet friends we really have none

They are here for the money and to have fun

Maybe not so good have we fared

To look at the crystal ball I am a little scared

Not sure if the future should ever be told

Rather be surprised as I grow old

The Crystal Ball is now crushed

Nothing there but a pile of dust.

Booty Call ?
A Poem by unclecharlie

A sleepless night spent all alone

Just simply staring off at the phone

Couldn't it ring why does it stall

Can I get just one Booty Call

I have heard about them from all the rest

Maybe it's really some kind of test

Still I am awake feeling some what cheap

But from the phone not even a peep

I am anxious for a call to come through

To dial my number is all she needs to do

Application I have sent out

I'd approve them all there is no doubt

I know these calls are usually late

So I'll just lay alone and wait

I'll turn the clock so I can't see

But my God it's a quarter of three

Maybe their story isn't really true

For just one call what must I do

Could I need to use each and every stall

Making sure my number is on every wall

Yet for now I still lay alone

Got my eyes trained right on that phone

A sleepless night with nothing to do

Dial the phone I am waiting on you!

Blind Date # 28
A Poem by unclecharlie

Here we go with number 28
Had so much fun forgot it was a date
We went riding out in a canoe
Both completely soaked before it was through
Together we let out a little screech
Then laid back to dry on the beach
There we wrestled hugged and rolled around
Acting like kids is how we'd be found
I tried for ever to sneak in a kiss
She grabbed my head not wanting me to miss
The water came in getting us even more wet
We didn't care our lips had finally met
She pulled me to her nice and strong
On that kiss we lingered so long
Her lips had the sweetest of taste
Had to get more and acted in haste
Today I just sit back and dream
That day, that kiss, she had no idea what it would mean
Glad that the moment I didn't waste
Time has passed but her lips I still taste!

Blind Date # 27
A Poem by unclecharlie

It started with a pleasant fishing trip
I fell in the water took a little dip
She put the bait right on the hook
Smiled and gave me that playful evil look
Rested our poles on a big rock
Flipped the button so the reels would lock
Then had cheeseburgers and some fries
Sat for hours telling the big fishing lies
We laughed joked and had a good time
Not even watching the fishing line
We heard it as one pole started to spring
To our feet both of us it would bring
She grabbed the pole and started the task
I took a drink from our little flask
She pulled reeled the fish put up a fight
That was a good ending to a wonderful night
She got the fish in and smile crossed her face
It's moments like this that are hard to replace
I gave her a kiss on the cheek
Hugged her until my knees got weak
Many times this story may have been told
That doesn't matter it never gets old!

Out My Window
A Poem by unclecharlie

Out my window everything is real
Watching the people wondering how they feel
Boats go by some really fast
Pulling children's on many different rafts
Then we have critter's involved in the deal
Believe it or not the entertainment is real
The little Lizards and every surface they'll touch
They just hang out not expecting to much
There are the cats that seem to be free
When they need fed they come to me
Coons and potassium's are also around
They know in my yard some scrapes may be found
It's not like I took them to own
But I did move in on their home
It's surely the least that I can do
Just to help so they can eat too
I get back more then I give
Because in my front yard they all still live!

Blind Date # 26
A Poem by unclecharlie

She sent her number for me to call
I wasted no time at all
Called her up and made a date
Going to play some pool I couldn't wait
I felt comfortable had no fear
Ordered a coke instead of a beer
She walked through door and I had little doubt
She opened the case and took her cue out
Ordered shots thinking we both needed one
That my friends is when it got fun
We laughed, played, she let me win a few
Maybe in another life she was someone I knew
We danced around the table like we didn't care
Completely forgetting anyone else was even there
Not getting into any serious chat
All that mattered was right now and where were at
Lost track of time thought it had stood still
Oh my God could this all be real?
I rubbed my head took off my hat
Gave my face a not so gentle pat
Making sure that I was awake
Things were great for Heaven Sake
Like young kids in lost but not love
No pressure no push and not even a shove
After all the ones that didn't work out
Maybe this is really what dates are all about!

Just Friends
A Poem by unclecharlie

Life may seem rough and she maybe confused
Still not by everyone will she be used
Some know a little about the life she may live
Friendship is truely all they want to give
And just for a few minutes take her away
From a life where games others want to play
Not trying to lay with her for the night
But more just a hug and say "everything will be alright"
Nor does the drink for her that they buy
Mean anything more then a friendly HI
So don't judge them by all that has went wrong
Because friendship for them is always strong
Believe what they say and theres no real debate
they're looking for a friend and not someone to date
She is beautiful, funny and smart
But a real friend is what's in their heart
If all they looked for was a quick lay
That can come from any bar on any given day
Believe her body is a fine work of God's art
But that's never where a real man will start
Believe in her eyes they can see some pain
So they are interested in giving not what they can gain
Adding to the pain they will never do
Just thought she could use a friend that is new
For all of us life can be hard
But they're not giving or playing a sympathy card
They've given all the information and you can decide what to do
Please remember where your at they've been there too!

Those Happy Hooker's
A Poem by unclecharlie

Happy Hookers they were called as everyone toasted
Of them we had heard and read many things posted
Seems they meet a couple times a week
Had to get there and just take a peek
Just had to see what it would all mean
On line advertising I'd never seen
Taking a table off to the side I'd sit and wait
Then one came in the Pimp was her date
They filed in a couple at a time
Seeming to go to the table taking their place in line
They had drinks and a little to eat
There were many people they seemed to great
The kareokee started to play
For them that got the night right on it's way
Some danced all filled with pride
On the floor they just seemed to glide
One came with husband in tow
How that would work I just had to know
I asked a woman " if I could see one of the Hooker's"
She said, "They are clear to most on looker's "
I asked her just what these Hooker's do
She said, " They hold my purse so I don't have too"
Seeing that the meaning I didn't get
She took my hand and told me to sit
Putting my hand on the table top
On a piece of metal is where it would stop
These are the Hooker's that you seek
But of this monent you can't ever speak,
If only a little of the story now comes to light
We can have fun with it on any given night
Now my investigation is forever complete
I will know a Happy Hooker if we should ever meet!

Running through the Castle
Posted: 9/3/2008 3:28:33 AM
I've ran through the castle for days it would seem
Not chasing a woman but chasing a dream
Of coffee with a creamy delight
Finally caught up with it all last night
5 am and at this desk I sit
Knowing that better this morning can't get
My coffee is steamy and hot
Next to it some CREAMIE'S is what I've got
Not wanting to eat them in rush
They make me smile and even blush
Mouth watering my chins getting wet
Still I'll take my time you can surely bet
Wanting to be sure that the timing is just right
I've taken a shower, shaved, silk shirt and pants a little tight
Look in the closet and find a nice tie
Then with the first bite just gently cry
Just like other things we all know
It's best when approached nice and slow
Now on cloud 9 or maybe even 10
This morning there no question about if I win
A breakfast of champions is what I see
That cup of coffee and Creamie's for me!

That Voice
Posted: 8/30/2008 6:16:08 AM
At times what we do we have no choice
As we're guided by that little voice
For us it is quiet but crystal clear
Yet it's something no one else can hear
And if we try to do things a different way
Once again we hear just what the voice had to say
By this voice we are simply lead
Like a bell ringing in our head
We are careful so no one else will know
That this voice told us which way to go
There's no one we can tell
They just wouldn't understand the voice as well
When we have coffee in the morning light
We hear about what voice thought of all night
Our friends this voice may choose
Along with if we drink Pepsi, Coffee or Booze
This voice we can not ignore
Only the voice knows what's next in store
We are told some pills will make it go away
But the voice will fight and try to stay
Plus how would we carry on
If in fact the voice is gone
Then alone we would need to decide
Down which road we will ride
It would be like a friendship that just ended
Who knows if it could ever be mended
So if you have a voice like mine
Listen to it and everything will be fine
With the voice don't argue or debate
To catch up with you it will not wait
In your life it will always share
And you'll have a friend even when no ones there
Plus once you are freed
You'll realize that voice you still need!

The Thrill Of The Chase
Posted: 8/30/2008 4:31:49 AM
A woman that I may never get
Still she looks good from where I sit
The dress that fits her just right
Makes for pleasant dreams each night
That beautiful smile on her face
Nothing better then the thrill of the chase
It's not about sex or any physical thing
But the smile on face only she can bring
Even though we have never met
I refuse to give up just yet
Seeing her in the strangest places
She's always surronded by many faces
Off in the distance I may be
But in the crowded bar it's only her I can see
Across the floor she seems to gluide
To talk to her I haven't even tried
In the mirror myself I couch
Wondering if this woman I could approach
Then if I found something to say
Would she even give me the time of day
I am out of practice and I have no line
How could I deserve a woman so fine
What could I have to give
But trust, honesty and a friend as long as she'd live
Maybe I am just thinking to big
She's probably way out of my league
No matter what she puts a smile on my face
And I stay young with the thrill of the chase!
