rejection on Speed Metal...
Posted: 10/12/2005 10:05:57 AM
Ironline, some women may find your musical interest appealing.

If this is an important aspect for you, you might do a search for 'Metal' (or 'Speed Metal', or perhaps search the names of some of your favorite bands), you may discover someone in your area with similar listening interests? Just a thought.

It could be worse... you could live in rural Texas and like metal.

what makes a man stand out in a crowd
Posted: 9/29/2005 9:10:20 PM
Long hair!

Honestly, I tend to notice the men that have taken the time to read my profile, and mention common interests... but if they, also, have long hair, it's a definite bonus.

LADIES: Old fashioned, why is it wrong these days?
Posted: 9/23/2005 12:25:31 PM
I am old-fashioned/traditional... yet, at the same time, am independent.

I enjoy cooking as much as I enjoy restoration work.

Why do most women not reply or give it a try?
Posted: 9/15/2005 10:38:20 AM
Perhaps, you might mention something that shows you've taken the time to actually read her profile in the subject line? We (women) realize that some women simply do not respond, or do not have the capacity to respond to a high volume of messages (single men certainly seem to outnumber single women, on this website)... however, we appreciate your having taken the time to read our profiles, and address us as individuals rather than writing a generic message that we suspect you've already sent a thousand other women, or a hastily typed message that shows that you feel we are not worth your time (i.e; Your Subject Line Here... "How r u?").

Furthermore, if we do not respond, try again... what does it hurt?

Even average women, like myself, become overwhelmed, occasionally.

Any ideas for venue?

Hell, any ideas where one could just hang out? I'm rather new to the area.

Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?
Posted: 7/1/2005 11:14:13 AM
I would chance the meeting, if his verbal description was attractive... of course, it would have to be a local meet, in a very public place.

Who IS serious about finding someone here???
Posted: 6/30/2005 7:11:51 PM
Last time I was here, I was seeing someone, and was only here for the forums. This time, I'm completely serious about finding someone.

Where else, besides online, am I going to find a decent, long-haired, man? I'm living in rural Texas, surrounded by cowboys/rednecks. Drinking cheap canned beer and/or going cow-tipping is NOT my idea of a fun date.

Just A Question? What's Wrong With Me?

Awww. Bummer. No profile. *pouts*

The OP sounded like my type of guy... I like the tall, thin, long-haired ones.

Hi Everyone
Posted: 6/30/2005 4:00:13 PM
Another transplant, from California. Culture shock! I am located just south of Waco, and the locals (those I've encountered, at least) are too cowboy/redneck for my liking... so I thought I'd try a dating site, in hopes of finding someone with common interests (sorry guys, I'm just not into cheap canned beer and/or going cow-tipping).

I was on here, previously, for the forums. This time around, I'm actually "fishing"... so bring on the long-haired men (or refer me to your long-haired, male, friends).

Want to know more? Check out the profile and/or send me a message.

would you date a guy with long hair
Posted: 6/18/2005 9:45:32 AM
Have dated long-haired men, exclusively. It is my fetish (well, my main fetish, at least).

It's not that I wouldn't date a short-haired man, if he sparked my interest (personality, character, sense of humor, etc.)... I am just not attracted, initially.

Honestly, short hair or long hair, I just want a man who will represent himself honestly. I am tired of men pretending to be someone thay are not.
