Scientifically speaking we have the same amount of nerve endings in them but as our nipples are smaller the nerve endings are more closely packed and such are more dense. It is similar to the clit /****ratio. Womens nerve endings are more compact caz the cliterous is smaller. I quite like having my nipples licked in bed so i assume it is normal. What isnt normal however is turning down blowjobs. Also i find it a bit odd that he prefers to do it himself.
