oh, one more thing, and i hope everyone reads this,especially the men. dont feel because there is a dance going on, that you have to dress up at this place. its a casual atmosphere. if people are really dressed up at the dance, dont think you have to be. in other words, there are always those people that feel they have to dress up,when you dont have to. its florida people ,not new york city. so you can relax if you want to!

I agree. i dont like that there is more woman to men. but thats sarasota. there is always more woman to men,so they say. i think what we will do, is after about an hour or 2 at the tiki bar,if you want to meet lots of people of the opposite sex- you need to go into the singles dance at the holiday inn. we will be able to hear the music outside,but if we want to mingle with alot more singles-we will have to go to the dance--i was told its $7.00 to get in,but worth it when you see how many people turn out for it-there are hundreds!! its all ages. mostly 40 on up in terms of ages.

ok everyone ,this looks to be an exciting time- the list is growing,but keep telling people about the event, as we should have more people listed! the more people that come out ,the better time it will be. we are going to have nice prizes for our trivia contest. can someone tell me if the party is listed when they sign in? im getting some feedback from someone that says the tiki party/trivia contest is not listed.

Wanna attend a fun POF event? Then come on and sign up for this Sarasota Ticki Bar POF Party on Sunday, August 31st with a contest played based on Florida Trivia! We don't have to work on Monday (Labor Day Weekend), so we should get a good crowd of POFers. The Ticki bar is located behind the Sarasota Resort and Marina, which is located 2 and 1/2 miles North of the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport (SRQ). It's on the intercoastal side and there is a nice marina. You can order food and drinks off the menu. I will have name tags for all of us. Plus if you would like to stay longer, this same place (inside the resort) holds a dance that night with a great DJ team and a large dance floor. There is a cover charge, and you can also order food and drinks there as well. When you go in, tell them you are here for the POF party and they can direct you to the Marina /Ticki Bar area. However if you stay for the dance, the resort does charge a small cover charge. And, you are on your own for food and drinks. This should be lots of fun and I hope to see everyone there. hey everyone, this sunday's cay club party seems to have some good people coming . at least this time there are some men that have personally called me and said they were going for the first time. so there is always a first for everyone. these men are in their 40s and early 50s ,so not everyone will be over 60 . yeah! this is what we want ,all ages. didnt go to the last venice pof, seems its always the same people signing up and from what i heard, it was pretty much like the last one.

ok, heres the thing. since i have lived in the south. especially sarasota! all the men are so phoney, i could just spit. people are rude in general here in the south .there is no manners at all. to the person who suggested nice people finish last. screw that! not true! its us nice,honest people who get ahead in life. you get alot of junk on the internet. just remember , its all about timing. you might go years without seeing anyone good. my problem is, there is not alot of guys with looks. they look like inbreeds. sorry, just my opinion. if you dont like it, sorry!

Hello everyone, Happy Holidays! We are planning another POF party on Sunday, January 28th at the Sarasota Cay Club which is located at 7100 North Tamiami Trail, its two miles north of the SRQ airport. I will have plenty of fish name tags for everyone. It is going to be a "Remember Your Prom" party, so dig out your old prom attire, there will be prizes for the funniest, orginial and creative prom attire. They charge $5.00 at the door and we know since we had two POF parties there before, that lots of other singles will be there along with us POF'ers. They have a DJ playing plus you can order food off the menu until 9:00 PM. The dance starts at 7:00PM and last until 11:00PM. It will be nice to see everyone again. Boy, did we have a blast at the Before The Holiday Party at the Sarasota Cay Club. It was so cool to see so many plenty of fishers attend. It was a blast. So, I am planning another POF party on Sunday, January 28th at the Sarasota Cay Club. It cost $5.00 to get in the door, you can order food off the menu until 9:00 PM. The dance starts at 7:00 PM. The party is called the Forgotten Prom Dance Party, so get out and find your forgotten prom dress and tux and lets have some more fun and meet other singles on Plenty of Fish. I will name tags for everyone to let them know that they are from Plenty of Fish. Contest and Prizes for the Most Sexy Prom Attire, Most Creative Prom Attire and the Most Orginal Prom Attire. They also have an awesome DJ playing that night. The Sarasota Cay Club is on the water, 2 miles north of the Sarasota Airport, the physical address is 7100 NORTH Tamiami Trail. It use to be the old Holiday Inn. It really is a very nice place, being on the water and such. So, please sign up, I look forwarding to seeing everyone again!

Hello everyone, Sunday, it almost here and the party is going to be great- lots of POF'ers have been signing up! It will be nice to see some old and new faces. If anyone wants to stay over- call Sonja Newton, she is the catering manager and her number is 941-552-2314 and she can give you a special room rate, just tell her you are coming for the Sunday Singles Dance Party. The Cay Club from those who have never been, it is really a nice, nice place on the water. The DJ is great and we had one hell of good party last month and we plan to make it the same with this one. I want to thank everyone who has signed up for the Halloween POF party! I plan to post photo's soon! So, we are planning another party at the same place -Sarasota Cay Club 7100 North Tamiami Trail- 2 miles North of the Sarasota Bradenton Airport on Sunday, November 26th from 7 to 11 p.m. They charge $5.00 at the door and I will have POF name tags for everyone. You can order food from the menu until 9:00 p.m. They plan to have a DJ playing and a Sexy Santa will be there with presents for all! It should be a blast. Also the Sarasota Cay Club will have special room rates that night if you would like to spend the night. Since this is a "Before the Holiday Party", I heard it is a dressy party. So gals, get out your party dresses and guys, your dressy outfit and let's make this as fun as the POF Halloween Party. We are on a roll!!!! Hello everyone! Wow, lots of POFer's have sign up for this Halloween Party, it should be lots of fun! I have plenty of help for this party and I have made up name tags for everyone who is a POFer, so make sure you take one when you are entering the Sarasota Cay Club. Saundra, the catering manager at the Cay Club said if anyone wanted to stay over and not drive home, her number is 941-355-2781, mentioned that you are coming to the dance and she said she could give you a good rate. We may do another POF party on Sunday, November 26th- a before POF Holiday Party. It would be at the same place, same time and everything, just a different date. Looking forward to meeting everyone in person!

Pete, The POF Halloween Party is not related to the Oldies 108 party, I think they usually have them on Friday night, with a mixture of couples and singles. The Sarasota-Bradenton Halloween POF Party is on Sunday, October 29th at the Sarasota Cay Club as a POF singles dance. Great DJ playing that night, with prizes and a costume contest. Hello everyone, I am planning with two others to help co-host a Plenty of Fish Halloween Party at the Sarasota Cay Club which is located at 7150 North Tamiami Trail - 2 miles north of the Airport in Sarasota. It should be fun - it is a Halloween POF Party, They have a big dance floor, they only charge $5.00 at the door and you can order food or appetizers from the menu . Costume Contest and prizes, maybe we could dress up like fish (just kidding). I will have wristbands or name tags to indicate that we are POFers! It starts at 7:00 p.m. and will last to whenever, I think the Cay Club stays open until 11:00 p.m. So, let's dress up for Halloween and have some fun.
