u can't have a plutonic friendship with opposite sex
Posted: 4/4/2006 8:21:09 PM
I've had "platonic" relationships with women my entire life, so anybody that says that can't happen is full of rubbish, but MOST of MY male friends can't do that. For them, a platonic relationship with the opposite sex equals someone they just haven't slept with yet.
Bottom line-possible, not an "everyday occurence."

Do you want a ruthless review?
Posted: 4/1/2006 6:39:53 PM
Many thanks O Great Ruthless One!
More pics will soon be forthcoming (soon as I figure out my new digital camera) and as far as the occupation, that would be management in the same field as you! Being a "newbie" and with the "fishin" being a little slow, I'm very happy about the good review! Thanks again! YOU ROCK! happy to you too!

Well, since I can't seem to get anyone else to review my profile, I guess a brutal one is better than none. Thanks chica.-B

OK, Ms. Lizbets, I suppose I'm ready for any constructive criticism you may have to offer I am still "relatively" new to this whole online dating "thing" and I'm trying to be extremely honest about myself but just don't seem to be "hitting the right notes" as it were, or perhaps I'm overlooking something obvious? Missing the forest from the trees? Thanks for your thoughts.-B

Why do you think relationships fall apart?
Posted: 3/6/2006 9:12:07 PM
There is probably something lacking in these areas-friendship, trust, respect, communication.
Some people don't realize that in a long-term relationship you fall in and out of what some term "romantic love" and sometimes you could just reach out and "touch" that other person, but that's where the friendship and respect carry you through. Some people think that love is only a feeling, don't realize that it is a choice and an action as well ( or maybe lots of little ones.) Some people just become selfish or get things twisted in their heads(physical/psychological addictions, mental instability)-it's too bad really-sometimes it's not really their fault-and sometimes you don't realize until it's too late. But "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" right? Or is it "If you love something, set it free, if it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, hunt it down and kill it." No that's not it......hmmmmm.

What do you hate most about being single?
Posted: 2/27/2006 9:26:12 PM
The two things I HATE about being single are not having someone to cook for and not having someone to cuddle with (theres just no manly word for that, is there?)You have to admit there are good things about being single though.

Thirty and not married
Posted: 2/27/2006 8:08:30 PM
Reply to "Broken Soul"-Like you said, not everybody is like that. I'm over thirty and I've never mistreated or screwed a woman over, though I had many chances to. I just believe in monogamy, that's what works for me. I am also a very honest person. "Experts" say that at LEAST half of the people "out there" LIE AND CHEAT, so, it's a flip of the coin. I'd guess that most people have been cheated on at least once, even some of the most rich and beautiful people in the world, according to the papers. As cynical as we who have "been there, done that" tend to get, most of us are here looking for someone to at least connect with for an instant. So keep lookin' and don't get too bitter.

what good or bad food do you remember from childhood?
Posted: 2/27/2006 5:58:13 PM
they are a little caramel-type candy with bits of nut in them(squirrel nuts.) My Mother and both of my Grandmothers were great cooks. Some of my faves were cardamon coffee bread, blueberry porridge, blueberry muffins, a holiday rice pudding with a raisin sauce, soups, fish chowder, corn chowder, pork pie, lemon meringue pies, my mothers homemade spaghetti sauce with sweet and hot sausage and hamburger with onions, peppers, garlic, fresh herbs, mmmm...
Foods I hated: turnip loaf-YUCK!

Thirty and not married
Posted: 2/21/2006 10:52:48 PM
TWO ladies proposed to ME(!) but by the time I thought I'd like to, they had changed their minds (they each proposed within the first 6 months of the relationship). After several back to back long term live-ins in my twenties, I've been so "picky" (according to friends) that I can't seem to get past the first date. Living in a state where most my age are either married, damaged goods, or heavily laden with "baggage" doesn't really help either.

GUYS!!! If you met the right woman, could you wait for the sex till marriage?
Posted: 2/21/2006 10:35:02 PM
For a woman to even think that with all the sex we are bombarded with today, I think that's AWESOME! I would definitely be able to wait for the "actual intercourse." She would actually get props in my book! I doubt if the average guy would say that thought. Especially if I thought she was the "right" woman, I'd wait.
