i can't really see the point of mensa as a dating venue just because you both have a high IQ doesn't mean you're going to be compatible besides, what about all the things the test doesn't cover like - common sense able to keep a job able to play well with others etc

i'm 5'2" 135 lbs there has long been a weight restriction for me my back can't take the stress never has been able to that said i have dated a few guys slightly over the weight restriction but there was a limit on the postions as for being afraid -- it wouldn't even occur to me i am always the one with the stronger personality by far

i have to agree with post #26 i have one child the father said "but i don't want to be a dad" after we were in a relationship for two years then went and married someone else and had another kid (she left him just last year, ah, the irony!) the child support, when he pays it is less than i make in a day...

i can't really see how this is different than what millions of people do every day (sleep with someone outside of the marriage) except here, no one is lying about it... on the other hand, there is obviously some issue going on, or we wouldn't be discussing it at such length regardless of religion, or the definition of marriage (which has been ever changing over time and religion) in the end, you have to do what you can live with, what makes you happy, what makes you grow and change

well lets see the first time i hyphenated my name because he insisted he proceeded to run up all kinds of credit bills beat the crap out of me ( no kids and no plans to have any) and i left so i went back to my old name then i went for it a second time this time there was no discussion ( no kids and no plans to have any) we both just kept our names his reasoning was "either you're commited or your not - a name change isn't going to change that" (turned out he wasn't) so a few years later i changed my name the whole thing legally to something i liked and felt suited me better

i say i want i to be friends and mean it iam still friends with all of my many exes most of them the firendship has lasted far longer than the relationship ever did a few examples alan - went out for six months, friends for 12 years steve - married for one year, divorced, friends for 14 years tom - dated for one year, friends for 10 years and my all-time record i am still good friends with the guy i dated for a year when i was 16 (yes, i am old) i am honest during the relationship and honest ever after if it isn't working out i put my all into it but i say so right away and try to fix it if we come to a point where it isn't fixable then we break up and stay friends

i took a loan (osap) and went back to school i also started my own business making stained glass ornaments (initial investment about $300) now my kid is 8 and i am working as a nurse you can do it, just stay optimistic i was dog tired for 5 years!
