What Does Long Term Mean?
What goes thru my mind when i see Long Term.....is this person is not looking to just casual date forever. Their ultimate goal is to meet someone of like mind who's also looking to settle down with 1 person and 1 person only for the long haul. Hopefully, and thats a big hopefully, everyone knows that there is a process of getting there, but that is the ultimate goal tho. When i meet someone, i do tell them that id love to be married 'one day' and would like to meet someone who's goal is to also find 'the one' and settle down. There are ALOT of people on here who do not want the ol' ball 'n chain thing ever again.....those are the ones who are not of like mind as myself.
Thats how i see it anyway. lol *shrugs*

Ever meet a person and they remind you of someone else?

My older brother had a gf whose daughter looked and sounded JUST like our cousin! I met her at his funeral (he passed 3 years ago) and i was flabbergasted. Same face shape, same shade of freckles, same hair style (but the daughters was darker), same body shape, same height and even the same slight monotone type voice. Wow! They do say everyone has a twin out there somewhere in the world.

Guys; do you know when a woman is interested or when shes just being a woman?
Posted:
11/7/2009 2:08:52 AM
Hi gottwins...
A pretty good way to tell if a woman is interested or not is her body language and her eyes. Does she seem attentive and interested in what you are saying? Is her body leaning forward? Is she looking at you? Even if she is too shy to have constant eye contact, her body language will still tell you she is interested. Does she smile alot, but not with her eyes (aka just being polite)? Some women are touchy feely when they interested also such as a touch to your hand, arm, shoulder (if she touches your butt its a sure bet! HAHA!).
It's not hard to figure out when a woman is pissed off, as you said yourself. lol The orgasmic thing tho? I wont get into that here since its a bit graphic for this thread, but i can almost guarantee most men just absolutely have noooooo clue when a woman fakes (except for your corny porn star imitators who are....obvious lol).

Actually, i think Macs profile is pretty well rounded with both his likes and dislikes. When i read the Lavender Softener part, the thought that ran thru my mind was " Mmmm, i love Lavender!"...and kept right onna reading. I guess its different strokes for different folks regarding what some would raise eyebrows at. Hey, on my profile i have that the only sport i like is Boxing/MMA. If that makes a few men think 'wtf?', then better he knows that now rather than after we waste our times meeting.
off topic:
Katalooloo muh girl......if that were the case (being paid to be here lol), then i could very well retire from my job and live off Fish pay! lol But..most of my online time nowadays is spent at Facebook. Im pretty addicted to the game Happy Aquarium. lol Yup, i seem to be surrounded by fish both here and over there! LOL

Hi Larry,,,i too read your profile and i think it sounds pretty good. This is by no means an excuse to not respond to someones email, but its possible the women you email may think you are too far out of their distance range. Maybe some are smokers and they prefer the same (you are a non-smoker i think yours said?). There are a slew of possibilities out there but none are valid reasons for not at least responding back with a 2 second 'No thank you'.
You said you ask them questions like what they are looking for in a guy, what are their interests, etc... That info may very well already be on there and they may not want to repeat it all! lol Instead i would suggest maybe taking for example, one of their interests and asking her about it. Ex: Oh you like softball? So do i! What position do you play? What league are you in? You like movies i see. What type do you really like? I really like...yada yada yada. lol You get the point. lol
Hope this helps at least a lil bit!

Id say that love does make the world go round (at least it does the butterflies in your tummy! lol), but it does not pay the bills. Lack of the green stuff has played a huge part in many failed marriages/relationships. You dont need to be a Donald Trump, but you really do need to be able to stand on your own 2 feet, so yes, having a job is important (i think we all know these are hard times right now and lots are laid off but that is different to being 'profressionally' unemployed! lol)

Do women always assume you are hitting on them when you speak to them?
Posted:

Oh yes indeedy, we most certainly did have the pack mentality in here, but most have moved on. To be quite honest here and ive never even met RD, he wasnt one of them.
Im not saying he's never complained about anything but even if he has or anyone for that matter, we are all on this singles site and id think that complaining about lack of dates is pretty much expected!! lol
Now Pink Fairy (or however she chose to spell it) most definitely was the one who started attacking RD first. I just went back and re-read it. She actually made my jaw drop by the way her claws came out of nowhere. The way she launched into a tirade was clearly uncalled for.
As far as RD getting all riled up if you disagree with him, its been my experience that that is untrue. We've had a few topics going on where ive disagreed with him and visa versa and he's never been anything but a gentleman and i think ive even told him that before. We can agree to disagree! :)
Anyway....just my 2 pennies worth. lol
Back to OT:

Nope, not
always
, but it does depend on the approach and how she interprets it. JMO

OP...i forgot about this till now but i did actually meet a freak once but it was from a chat site ...not a singles site. I 'met' this guy via chat and he talked me into a spontaneous meet (for that day). At first i said no way.... but then i thought, what the hell,,be spontaneous for once like he says so i agreed. We met in my town along the waterfront park. Long story short, he ended up masterbating while we were having a nice, normal chit chat sitting in our lawn chairs!!
This happened a few years back and i really can laugh about it now. lol Whatta freak tho!!
Katadoodle doo,,,,,,,,bigggggggg ol hugs gf!!!
Btw, SeptMoon sent me some pics from her B-day party and awwww you and Bentley look so happy!!

It just amazes me when i read stories such as yours! Granted, ive only met 2 men from here (aside from meeting some at POF parties) and never had a problem. Even the emails i get are nice ones. Never had anyone get weird yet. lol Got a question for ya tho: How did you find out he was lying about the the football thing (and about being hurt)?
I dont know what county you live in, but in my county, we can access court records online for free (you need a first and last name tho), and ive done that a few times with people from here and from another site. One guy (from here) was really nice in his emails. No creepy feelings about him whatsoever, but since i had his first and last name, i looked him up and woahhh,,,he had 4 counts of Domestic Violence against him and one was a felony (he also served time). You just never know about people!!

Is it ok to date the friend of an ex
Posted:
9/22/2009 6:24:12 AM
Is there ever a situation where it is ok for you to date some one who is friends with your ex or for your ex to date one of your friends? Does it depend on how the relationship ended or do all the rules go out the window in the game of love?
Personally, i think if the relationship ended amicably and there were absolutely no feelings left on both sides,,,,then go for it. I cant think of any of my ex's i still carry a torch for, so if one of my single gf's wanted to date an ex of mine, she can have him. Just because the 2 of us didnt work out as a couple, doesnt mean the 2 of them wont. As a matter of fact now that i think about it, i do have an ex that i always thought would be perfect for one of my gf's, but she was already in a relationship at the time.

At what age do you Just Give Up?
Posted:

Some ppl in life are just meant to be alone, without a spouse. Where i work, i meet a surprisingly high amount of them who've never married, never had children (these are the elderly in their 70's and up). Sometimes i think that thats what my role in life is. Giving up? Eh...not necessarily giving up, just not as hopeful about it as i used to be.

Electro Stim?
Posted:

David...while most women enjoy the stimulation that these types of products can give us since we control how much stimulation and exactly where we like it, i personally dont know of any women who uses them for hours on end, which then it MAY cause some nerve damage (speaking clitorally, since my particular massager is only used for clitoral stim.). However, you can potentially burn your skin if left on too long on exposed skin, but this particular massager and where 'i' put it is not directly on 'exposed' skin. lol
And no, while these products really are amazing, lol, they can never ever replace the feel of a man...IMO. Id prefer a man over any toy....but when one isnt available, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! lmao!
Here is a link to the Homedics Percussion Massager if you're curious:

Wow! That PES Samurai looks niceeeee for both inner and outter stimulation! Another powerful E-Stim (for outter only!) is a hand held massager by Homedics. Varying speeds but trust me, the lowest speed will send you over in seconds! Oh and the best part? You can choose to use the heating element,,,,,very very very nice.
Much cheaper than $500. This is under $30.

How many women would admit to this????
Posted:
9/17/2009 2:53:44 AM
3 to be exact. It mainly started because they all three have very demanding jobs and work lots of hours so I'm not able to see them but once a week, sometimes even once every other week
^^ So you sometimes get to see these men each once a week. Sweeet! Three dates a week with 3 diff men!
But one of these men
I am desperately in love with.
But....(insert sad smiley here)
He lives a distance from me, but comes to spent the day with me about once a week, it's the highlight of my life.
I dont think its the highlight of your life when you're sleeping with 2 other men in the same week!
Oh and...
I date someone a while before I ever get intimate with them
Somehow i just dont believe that at all!
I wonder what the 'highlight of your life' who works mega hours would think if he knew you were sleeping with 2 other men!

Tomorrow for sure,,,proper running shoes!!

Good morning all and ty so much for your advice.
. The person i am running with, my neighbor, really hasnt given me good advice at all, despite the fact that he used to run quite a bit! Everything he's been telling me is pretty much the opposite of what all of you have said ('cept for getting better running shoes)!
Edsta,,,you are right about my taking too big of strides and landing more on my heels, and also that my shoes arent proper running shoes. My jogging partner seems to run more than jog and i do find that i take longer strides to keep up with him. Also about the warming up before and after....definitely going to start doing that too. He says we dont do that on 'cold muscles', but it makes sense to warm up before tho. Im going to do that before we meet outside. Also, i have tomorrow off from work, so im going to find a better running shoe. Those shin splints do hurt and they are still sore.
Every other day is kinda what i figured you'd all say.....ty for that. Good to know i can come here and get proper advice!
Thanks again!

Hello Everyone..
Ive finally decided to get off my butt and start jogging! Been wanting to do this for a while now but didnt have anyone to go with me. Finally asked a neighbor, so now we go after i get out of work in the mornings. I did a thread search on jogging and the info ive read has been VERY helpful, however, i do still have one unanswered question: Is it wise to go every morning or every other morning?? Our first day was this past Saturday. The neighbor wanted to go again on Sunday so i said yeah, im up for it! Welllll,,,, Sunday morning came and i could barely walk! lol We decided to go this morning (Monday) but wow, im still sore from Saturday~ especially my chins. So taking Sunday off didnt really heal me at all. We are doing a mile, tho admittedly i cannot run the whole mile yet ~ we do walk briskly, then run till im pooped, walk briskly, run. I am loving it tho!! So what do you guys and gals think? Everyday or every other day??
Thanks for any advice!!

Grey Hair: Distinguished, or EX-tinguished?
Posted:

Graying hair/salt 'n pepper hair on men,,,,,love it! I dont think it ages you men at all! It makes you more handsome, in my eyes. And i agree with another poster~ DO NOT DYE IT! It does look fake,,,you can just tell when a man dyes his hair. Now a woman on the other hand, if her hair is streaked with gray, it ages her big time. Some women can be all over gray and it works for them, but when its steaked here and there, it just looks bad.

I agree,,,it has to be genetics. The women on my mothers side of the family look much younger than their actual ages. My g-grandmother lived to be 102 yrs old and still lived in her own house, by herself. My 85 yr old grandmother plays golf twice a week and works out at Curves 3 days a week. Also, my 65 yr old Aunt looks young enough that she found herself and married a man younger than me! lol Incidentally, i smoke and have been a pack a day smoker for 27 years, and have used tanning beds for 15 yrs now. No wrinkles or bad skin here!

Strong opinions on pot smoking here and abouts; why?
Ive been around drug users all of my life and had a family member OD at the age of 45. Quite frankly, im sick of it, and absolutely will not date anyone who partakes. Im also pretty tired of hearing how it relaxes them after a hard days work (yeah ive had that excuse told to me more times than i care to count). Like smoking a joint is the only thing that relaxes a person?? Pfft.

One year he went (i think '07) he said it was too chilly and the kids didnt really enjoy themselves, so he says you gotta go as early in the month as possible!

Do women like gay (man on man) porn?
Posted:
9/11/2009 6:21:45 AM
Most straight men like the idea of two women enjoying each other and most if not all want to have sex with two women at once.
Do women feel the same way about gay men and do they want to have a threesome with two guys who would enjoy each other as well?
Some women do...YES! When i cruise my porn sites, THAT is what i prefer (and hetero amateur porn). Not really sure what got me into it, but for me its a huuuuuuge huge turn-on. As far as wanting to join in for a 3-some? Nope. Id much rather sit back on my own and 'enjoy myself' watching them. ;)

sex drive in women over 40
Posted:
9/11/2009 5:52:25 AM
I'm merely saying the most appealing to men of ALL ages (despite what the man in your life tells you) is that we all prefer (intellect not withstanding, and mattering little) young women who don't have to WAX THEIR MUSTACHE, have boobs that look like grapefruit in a pair of pantyhose, have a voice lower than mine, have hot flashes like Mt. St. Helens and who kissed ovulation goodbye 5 years ago. Any man would agree outside of your presence.
ALL ages, huh?? Hmm.. then someone better start telling these young men in their 20's to stop emailing us women over 40 then. Guess they missed the memo that day.

sex drive in women over 40
Posted:

But, it's ridiculous for anyone to think that a woman's sex-drive generally strengthens or improves between the 36-to-46 range (which are mostly still childbearing years) and 56 (which is far past menopause for most women).
Yanno....it just really never ceases to amaze me that some men think they know all about a womans sexuality when they really just have absolutely nooooooo clue. lol Im sitting here shaking my head laughing cuz you really just have it all wrong! lolol True, 'some' women really dont have any interest in sex whatsoever as they age, just like some men can really do without also. One of the nurses at work is 58 (she'll be 59 in Nov.). That woman is a freakin nympho! lol She's not shy about letting us know how many times her and her man have sex and the many different positions they do it in! lol
Btw,,menopause does NOT always strike women in their 50's and even when it does, does not always mean the end of her sex life! Another woman at work is 62 and she's still having periods with no menopausal symptoms yet AND still enjoying sex. My aunt was 38 (she is now 65) when she went thru hers, and her and her hubby (who btw, is 20-some yrs YOUNGER than her and 3 yrs younger than me ), have a very satisfying sex life.

What is wrong with being an Atheist??

RD....seems the end of the world has been predicted a few times but alas,,we are all still here!
And yeah...i too havent heard Nostrodamus brought up much these days.
Also RD..i belong to a chat program (9 years now) called Paltalk (and its free, unless you'd want streaming video) and one of the rooms there that i regularly chat at is called Atheist vs Christian Debate. It's a great room! People take turns talking on the mic expressing their views or ask specific questions (you dont have to talk on the mic, you can also type in the room). Just yesterday we had a Muslim come in and we were asking him about Islam. He was telling us how men and women are equal. We asked him to find a quote from the Karaan (sp?) where it says that. He hemmed and hawed and was giving us other quotes but the one we asked for. Finally the room admin actually copy and pasted a quote from the Karaan stating the fact that men and women are not equal and his only response was, "I'm sorry". lol Anyway,,,,i mention the room because i was thinking you might find it interesting if you're one who likes to debate (friendly debate) the topic. If you are interested, let me know and i can give you more info.
Smiling (and RD too).....its nice to see/read that you dont bash others for their lack of belief. So many others are quick to call Atheists names and are just downright rude and even hostile!

Have you had periods of no interest in sex in committed relationship?
Posted:

^ Thats what i was wondering too, if she has no desire for sex at all anymore, or if its just sometimes??
I do know that when we enter a new relationship the sex is more consistant and you just cant seem to get enough of each other. After the 'honeymoon' phase, things settle down a bit. You may not be having wild monkey sex 3 times a day everyday, but you still look forward to it when it does happen.
OP....do you look at it as more like a chore? Is he a selfish lover? Do you dread having sex with HIM? Is it boring sex (which could lead to not wanting it)? Do you find that he just annoys you, and not just in bed? Maybe youre losing interest in him altogether.
Someone brought up hormones. Thats another possibility. Certain BC affects different women in different ways. What BC may work wonders for me, may wreck havoc on you. Maybe stressors from work?

Doing all those things does not make you a mature man! You are still just a 27 yr old kid who's been around the block (so to speak)! Just because you feel you are overeduated and intelligent doesnt auto mean that POOF,,insta smarts in ALL things. In some, yes you probably are and yay for you...and i mean that. But still, you do still have the mindset of a youngster when it comes to THIS topic. It shows,,,its just so obvious. You dont see it because you cant.
I bet it made you feel better about being over the hill and overweight for a few minutes...
Um,,,no actually my previous post didnt make me feel any better or worse about myself! Just making an observation and posted my thoughts. Owned? Hardly. haha

Why would a man who loved me for 2 years do this?

I dont mind old topics being brought up. New people come to POF all the time and its nice to see new view points. The thing thats annoying is when the OP was asking for specific advice but has closed their POF account and people keep handing out advice when the person who needed it is no longer here (hence, this particular thread shouldnt have been revived ~ the OP has closed her account. She isnt here to receive our advice).

I've noticed a trend... it seems that the demographic of men who think it's bad to ask sexual questions are over 40, and/or look ridiculously creepy..
.
You are a only 27 yrs old, soldier. There is a huge maturity gap between most ppl in their 20's to those in their 40's. When i was your age i thought 40 yr olds were creepy too. You are at the age where you are still thinking with your little head instead of the one sitting on your shoulders.
I am a gibbering idiot with a raging hard on
Yes, you are, but its not your fault. You're just a kid.

Can you ever become attracted to someone your NOT attracted to?
Posted:
9/5/2009 10:25:17 AM
First, just to comment on your story of your best friend, OP:
she is not really attracted to him physically but IS attracted to the way he treats her. He treats her very well, is very caring and (big plus +here: he is financially well off).
Since she has no other options now, only guys who don't want to have "real relationships" just coming over now and then. She is seriously contemplating (God forbid) marrying this guy! He has everything to offer her- deep love, committment, security, and many opportunities. She is an older woman (about 10 yrs older than me) with less and less opportunities each year.
....and my comment is......i sure hope this man runs away from her as fast as his legs will take him.
And now...
Can you ever become attracted to someone your NOT attracted to?
It has been my personal experience that yes, you CAN. After spending a considerable amount of time with someone you thought of as only a friend and nothing more, you find yourself missing that person when they arent around and being drawn to them in more than just a friend type of way when they are near. Unlike your best friend, it is more than about money, having security and running out of options (aka Settling)...it is about growing closer and developing
genuine
feelings.

I am just wondering about how a womans sexual drive changes after 40
My sex drive really started taking off in my mid 30's and now that im 43, its still soaring.
Being comfy in my own skin, with my body, and not being afraid to speak up! I know exactly what i like and how i like it. ;)

Frozen during first phone conversation
Posted:

I totally know where you are coming from, OP. I too get so nervous i freeze up on the phone. Exchanging emails or pm-ing back'n forth on messenger is a piece of cake, but on the phone its just an instant brain fart for me! lol Luckily, the man i am currently talking to is pretty easy to talk to and likes to talk. He may talk about an experience that reminded me of something and ill share mine.....so far its working out pretty well and we havent had any uncomfy silences. Now if we do decide to meet, ill probably suffer thru the same anxiety until eventually things get rolling. lolol

Men help me with Fellatio?? tips???
Posted:
8/25/2009 2:31:22 AM
Well OP, im obviously a woman but ill post you a link of one of the hottest fellatio scenes i personally have ever seen. This woman obviously loves it. Two key factors: really liking it and staying consistant (the same how we like it when a man goes down on us~ not stopping 30 thousand times). You'll see. ;)

Men? We Like It Gentle
Posted:
8/25/2009 2:16:31 AM
Im with the OP.....slow and gentle.
When im really into someone, i savor the experience more by going slower. Nice long, slow, deep thrusts where we can whisper to each other, caress each other. Licking? Same thing. Long ice-cream cone with the flat of the tongue, stopping now and then to savor that 'cherry'. ;)
I dont know,,,,,for me if he's too rough it just turns me off. And yeah,,i will speak up and have had to.
