No worries Skuttle, I am pretty easy going person. takes a lot to rile me.
My comments were of a generalization and not intended to put "all" younger men in the same basket. As with everything/every race/class/group/ etc.. there are the good, the bad and the ugly!! ;-)

Just out of interest how many of you ladies get the stock standard email that has been sent to your girlfriends on here too! You know the ones I mean .. the copied and pasted ones with the name changed and a few minor details different, but in essence the same email of how wonderful an individual or interesting you are ..... etc... :-) comes across as so sincere but not an ounce of it in reality!!

I seek friendships not dates as such and don't open all emails. Many say things I wouldn't repeat in public, usually those from younger men.
At one stage I did open and respond to all emails.. I was spending way too much time in doing so and running out of time to answer those I was interested. Those that I did respond to and said I was not interested still took it as an opening for further correspondence and try to convince me otherwise. So not wanting to be rude but also due to my own time limitations I pick and chose from the profiles whether there is enough common interest to develop a friendship from .. if there is I respond. If I feel there isn't enough in common or my gut instincts go to work I don't respond. No intentions to be rude or otherwise but just the dynamics I have found here and time limitations.

You can't see wind but know it is there. How about oxygen can't see it either but still breath. This list could go on and on but you get my drift I am sure....

Thanks for your comments..
My "don't knock it until you try it" was meant in ... keep an open mind sense - pertaining only to the subject matter at hand .. not a general statement about everything universal!!
Keeping an open mind and respecting that everyone has their own journey is what it is really about. More wars etc have been fought for religious reasons than anything else. Acceptance that everyone is different and always will be is the key.
The journey is what matters as it is the development that it brings within yourself. No matter what it is ... does it make you a better person in the end!

Would a man seriously date a woman with three kids

Kids are not baggage but a blessing!!. Any man who would not consider dating a woman with 3 kids is not the kind of man that woman would want to be with anyway!!
Peoples lives move in all sorts of directions..you need to find one that moves in a similar direction to your own.
I have not found that my 3 children have been much of a deterrent for men wanting to date me or considering a long term relationship. So stand tall, confident and proud of yourself and your kids and the right man will find his way to you.

simple question - do you believe in a god?

I am one who does believe in God.. I have my hard times too.. life certainly hasn't been easy for me for nearly 24 years. I attribute my resilience to my faith.
Faith is a gift you either have it or don't ( if you don't have it you can pray for it and it will come in time- ot your time but God's time) .. lots that happen to us in life make no sense but our wisdom and knowledge of life and everything in it is very limited compared to a God who knows everything and created everything. Our journey in life is about becoming the best we can and sometimes hardships brings out the best in us, in ways we never would have dreamed of!
So I see lots of suffering and lots that doesn't make sense. I do believe that ultimately Gods hand is in it. God is supreme and his wisdom if beyond our comprehension. Even when natural disasters strike we wonder why God allowed it or do we allow it because we live our lives so oblivious to Him that he sometimes looks the other way for a bit to let us know how life would be without Him. Are all the faithful holding back the arms of justice for the rest of the world?
All too much to go into here. I do have faith and it has sustained me I do believe in God I talk to Him each day and thank Him for the joy and suffering he brings into my life as I trust he loves me and as any loving father desires.. only the best for his child.
ps. I didn't believe for a very long time and now I see how richer my life has become and happier even in the midst of storms (I have a deep sense of peace ultimately even though my children were abducted for 4 months etc.. I have had my lot too!!). I used to believe the religion was a crutch for weak or weak minded people... don't knock it until you try it is all I can say.
