Except for the British SAS special forces their collective militaries couldn't defend a 7-11 store from a LA street gang.
Be sure to voice that opinion to any Royal Marines you may meet...

Do men really like tatoos on women (lots of them or 1 or 2?)

Generally I don't mind them, but there are some places where they just look wrong: neck & chest. Titty tats make ya look like a cheap hooker... (as opposed to an expensive hooker, who would probably have tasteful tats)

Anyone know about a bike called a Vincent? In the early '50's it was probably the fastest thing on two wheels. I saw a picture of Jay Leno's Black Shadow, and nothing looks cooler. Of course, you could probably get a nice house for less money. I can still ride one in my dreams, though--I'd keep it in the garage next to my imaginary 426 Hemi Cuda.
Drop by Barnes & Noble & pick up Big Sid's Vincati by Matthew Biberman :)

So what, specifically, would you slash from government costs? Do you just ignore infrastructure? Cut taxes to the bone for the rich and corporations and hope there will be some kind of "trickle-down"? Cut all of those nasty social programs that try to minimize the plight of the poor? the immigrant? the less-mentally-capable segment of our population?
Put an absolute stop to ANY spending of tax payers money on illegals AND their *anchor babies*.

But neither you nor any other citizen of this country NEEDS automatic weapons. If you feel some doubt about this, talk to the families of the 9 U.S. police officers gunned down by automatic weapons in the hands of the lunatic fringe in this last month
You may want to look up just how impossible it is to buy ANY *automatic* weapon & while you're at it, look up what weapons were actually used against the cops in those shootings.
Here's a start: Don't bother looking at the lies on the Brady Campaign website..
& you can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws... it's... insane..

Let's enhance our state's revenue and cut costs by making the fines for employing illegal aliens substantial enough to be a real deterrent. That's the only way to effectively reduce demand for their labor and ensure that the state recovers at least some of the costs for the services those workers consume. We obviously aren't going to get much from the workers themselves.
The current fine is $10,000 per illegal alien, per day of employment...... So if you employ 10 of em for a week thats $500,000....When was the last time you heard of anyone being prosecuted & levied with those fines?

Apparently a 15 year old kid was seen Sunday night with what looked like a gun.... was told to drop it by officers............ the boy then pointed the toy plastic gun at the officer . Cop shot him. The boy, rushed to the hospital survived a direct hit to the torso. This officer will not be charged with anything and (if) this happened to a homeowner inside his own home being confronted by the same teen the same would apply to the homeowner.....
This happened in the worse possible part of Crimedale, sorry, Palmdale. WTF is a 15yo kid doing playing cops & robbers?? It's a frigging wonder he didn't die is a fusilade of gunfire from the gangbangers.
As for the wound he did receieve: the bullet just winged him under the left arm.

To me, the 2nd amendment is a joke of an arguement for gun rights, because all of the arguements involve outdated guns.(the original guns that had bayonettes attached to them)
So do at least 7 of mine....
The oldest one I have is 91 years old (1918 Enfield) & most of the others are 1938-1945. The only *new* guns I have are a Mossberg 590 & a M&P.40

They backed down on destroying the brass when just about every LEO agency in the US pointed out that they rely on reloads BIG time...
If it's in your safe when you're not out hunting with it or shooting it at the range, no worries. You can do better than to pick petty nits. Can't you?
Excuse me? I think you need to go back & read who posted what. I wasn't the dweeb who made a snarky comment about what I do with MY guns.
Sure, I don't think bad guys should have guns... especially automatics... But banning anything only keeps it out of the hands of law abiding people. Bad guys will find a way to get them.
Automatics have been severely retricted since the 1930's. The problem starts when people can't tell a semi automatic from a fully automatic machine gun. You only have to listen to the gun control freaks on TV to realise that they haven't got the first bloody clue what they are talking about. They argue from a position of ignorance & show the entire country what happens when we elect idiots. Unfortunately, there's an awful lot of people who don't realise they are being fed complete BS :)

Please. Let's not be disingenuous. A gun in the house ain't there for jackrabbits or skeet, and you know it.
Where would you suggest I keep my gunsafe.. in the front yard? Ca DoJ specifies where guns are to be kept & "on the lawn" isn't on that list..

If someone uses a gun in a criminal act, put them away, if someone does anything illegal with a gun, put them away. These same people cry wolf to Senators like Diane Feinstein, that **** is against guns, but has a weapons carry permit for San Francisco, something an ordinary citizen can't get, go figure!
She gave that up quite a few years ago.. not needed when she has armed bodyguards ;)

You can read the info and see the DoD letter to Georgia Arms here:
The Shootist Site:
http://www.theshootist.net
FYI FOLKS
This came from GA-VHPA group. (Georgia Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association)
Save your brass! It has begun!
Barack 0bama is on track to eliminate shooting hobbies, even if it breaks the Country. To all of you who voted for him........sooner or later he'll get around to something that affects YOU.
This is breaking news....
Georgia Arms is the 5th largest retailer of .223 Ammo in America . (they sell 9 mm, 45, etc) They normally buy spent brass from the US Dept of Defense - 'one time used' shell casings by our Military - from training on Military bases, etc. They buy the brass And then re-load for resale to Law Enforcement, Gun Shops, Gun Clubs, etc. They normally buy 30,000 lbs of spent brass at a time.
This week the DoD wrote a letter to the owner of Georgia Arms and said that from now on the DoD will be destroying the brass - shredding it. It is no longer available to the Ammo makers - unless they just buy it in a scrap condition (which they have no use for). By The Way - The brass is NOW going to be sold by the DoD to China as scrap - for less money than Ammo manufacturers have been paying for the shells before processing to destroy. That sure helps the US economy now, doesn't it? Sell cheaper to China - and do not sell shells at all to a proven US business. Any agenda working here?
The Georgia Arms owner even related a story that one of his competitors had already purchased a load of brass last week - and the DoD contacted him this week and said they were sending someone over to make sure it was destroyed. Shell Casings he had already bought! THE BRASS HAS NO VALUE TO THE AMMO MAKER IF IT IS DESTROYED/SHREDDED/MELTED. HE ONLY USES IT TO RELOAD DIFFERENT CALIBERS - MAINLY 223 BULLETS.
Georgia Arms owner says that he will have to lay off at least Half of his 60 workers, within 2 - 3 months if the DoD no longer sells their spent brass to him. He has 2 - 3 months inventory of shells to use. By summer - he's out.
Thats about 2 months out of date, they overturned the scrap brass deal.

The main problem we have with guns in our society these days is ignorance.Kids, even college "kids",can be suspended or expelled for even mentioning the word "gun" at school.People have so little knowledge about guns that they think just talking about them is dangerous, and the mere sight of a gun sends shivers down their spine. This is why I have always believed that we needs to teach gun saftey to kids in school.Have a class where kids learn gun saftey.

From yesterdays decision:
GOULD, Circuit Judge, concurring:
I concur in Judge O’Scannlain’s opinion but write to elaborate my view of the policies underlying the selective incorporation decision. First, as Judge O’Scannlain has aptly explained, the rights secured by the Second Amendment are “deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition,” and “necessary to the Anglo-American regime of ordered liberty.”
The salient policies underlying the protection of the right to bear arms are of inestimable importance. The right to bear arms is a bulwark against external invasion. We should not be overconfident that oceans on our east and west coasts alone
can preserve security. We recently saw in the case of the terrorist attack on Mumbai that terrorists may enter a country covertly by ocean routes, landing in small craft and then assembling to wreak havoc. That we have a lawfully armed populace adds a measure of security for all of us and makes it less likely that a band of terrorists could make headway in an attack on any community before more professional forces
arrived.
Pay particular attention to the second paragraph.....

Serious responsibility. I get so tired of the lay person being able to wait the amounted time getting the gun... puts the dang thing in the nightstand drawer with a child running around the house and there's a tragic ending.
Anything can be used as a weapon but when there is training the likely hood of accidents is greatly reduced.
More kids drown in home pools than are injured or killed by unattended, loaded firearms left in plain sight... Think about that for a minute: I could leave any of my guns, loaded, laying around the house while I took a nap with kids about & they STILL face a bigger chance of drowning..

Lou Dobbs on CNN last night:
A major victory tonight for our individual rights to bear arms. The ninth circuit court of appeals rules that states must obey the second amendment of the U.S. constitution. The ninth circuit saying states cannot create their own gun laws violating the second amendment. June Ronald Gould wrote, quote, the right to bear arms is a bulwark against external invasion. That we have a lawfully armed populace adds a measure of security for all of us and makes it less likely that a band of terrorists could make head way in an attack on any community. The ninth circuit generally considered very liberal, in fact the most liberal in the country concluded that the second amendment of the constitution is a fundamental right..."

If you feel some doubt about this, talk to the families of the 9 U.S. police officers gunned down by automatic weapons in the hands of the lunatic fringe in this last month.
You need to read up on what weapons were actually used, 2 of 3 shot in Pa were shot with a handgun....
& like the previous poster said:
Automatic weapons have been regulated under the NFA since (IIRC) 1938...
If you're going to make claims about guns it would help if you actualy had some actual facts at your disposal instead of ignorant myths & outright lies. The info is out there if you're willing to look. ;)

Virtually throughout its history, and certainly in the 20th century, California has been known as the place to go for dynamism and growth. It did not become the richest, most populous, and most productive state solely because of its weather and natural resources.
So it takes a lot to turn California around from growth to contraction, from people moving into the state to a net exodus from the state, from business moving into California to businesses leaving California.
It takes some doing.
And the left has done it.
California’s Democratic legislature has been more or less able to do whatever it wants with California. The Wall Street Journal has described the result:
“The Golden State -- which a decade ago was the booming technology capital of the world -- has been done in by two decades of chronic overspending, overregulating and a hyperprogressive tax code …”
One might argue that’s this is a politically biased assessment. So here are some facts, not assessments:
-- California’s state expenditures grew from $104 billion in 2003 to $145 billion in 2008.
-- California has the worst credit rating in the nation.
-- California has the fourth highest unemployment rate in the nation, 9.3 percent -- higher even than the car manufacturing state of Michigan. (updated: 10.1 percent unemployment per L.A. Times)
-- California has the second highest home foreclosure rate.
-- California’s tax-paying middle class is leaving the state. California’s net loss last year in state-to-state migration exceeded every other state's. New York, another left-run state, was second.
-- Since 2000, California’s job growth rate -- which in the late 1970s was many times higher than the national average -- has lagged behind the national average by almost 20 percent.
-- California has lost 25 percent of its industrial work force since 2001.
Joel Kotkin, one of the leading observers of urban America, the presidential fellow in urban futures at Chapman University, recently wrote an essay on California, “Sundown for California.” He begins with these words:
“Twenty-five years ago, along with another young journalist, I co-authored a book called “California, Inc.” about our adopted home state. The book described ‘California’s rise to economic, political, and cultural ascendancy.’ … But today our Golden State appears headed, if not for imminent disaster, then toward an unanticipated, maddening, and largely unnecessary mediocrity.”
That is what left-wing policies have done to California. In Kotkin’s words, “the state legislature decided to spend its money on public employees and impose ever more regulatory burdens on business.”
Last week, Intel, the world’s largest maker of computer chips, announced that it would invest $7 billion to expand its facilities. Where? In Arizona, Oregon, and New Mexico. But not in California, the state in which Intel is headquartered.
The left is bringing the greatest state to its knees.
What generations created, the left destroys. There are few productive and noble institutions in America that the left has not hurt or attempted to hurt. But while the left destroys a great deal, it constructs almost nothing (outside of government agencies, laws, and lawsuits).
Take the Boy Scouts. For generations, the Boy Scouts, founded and preserved by Americans of all political as well as ethnic backgrounds, has helped millions of American boys become good, productive men. The left throughout America -- its politicians, its media, its stars, its academics -- have ganged up to deprive the Boy Scouts of oxygen. Everywhere possible, the Boy Scouts are vilified and deprived of places to meet.
But while the left works to destroy the Boy Scouts -- unless the Boy Scouts adopt the left’s views on openly gay scouts and scout leaders -- the left has created nothing comparable to the Boy Scouts. The left tries to destroy one of the greatest institutions ever made for boys, but it has built nothing for boys. There is no ACLU version of the Boy Scouts; there is only the ACLU versus the Boy Scouts.
The same holds true for the greatest character-building institution in American life: Judeo-Christian religions. Once again, the left knows how to destroy. Everywhere possible the left works to inhibit religious institutions and values -- from substituting “Happy Holidays” for “Merry Christmas” to removing the tiny cross from the Los Angeles County Seal to arguing that religious people must not bring their values into the political arena.
And, then there is education. Until the left took over American public education in the second half of the 20th century, it was generally excellent -- look at the high level of eighth-grade exams from early in the 20th century and you will weep. The more money the left has gotten for education -- America now spends more per student than any country in the world -- the worse the academic results. And the left has removed God and dress codes from schools -- with socially disastrous results.
Of course, it is not entirely accurate to say that the left builds nothing. It has built vast government bureaucracies, MTV, and post-1960s Hollywood, for example. But these are, to say the least, not positive achievements.
In his column this week, Thomas Friedman describes General Motors Corp., as “a giant wealth-destruction machine.” That perfectly describes the left many times over. It is both a wealth-destruction machine and an ennobling-institution destruction machine.

I had one gf who was grabbed by the ankle & hauled off my bed by the 145lb wolf I used to have...He didn't hurt her or anything dangerous, just hauled her off the bed, dumped her on the floor & licked her face. He was the friendly kind.
Kinda freaked the gf out for a while tho..

The vehicle made various noises during it all ( started ahead of us and ended up behind us) and all I have to say if I were stupid enough to pay that much for (or pose with as I suspect the guy was), it should at least be quiet.
You just don't have the ear to appreciate mechanical perfection... People who don't have it are usually the ones who sound their horns in tunnels....
