Sushi lovers: what is SWEET Sauce in a B.C. roll?

Thank you for the recipes, SAguy 06 and boatswamper. I will try this one next time..
If you're talking about the dark brown sauce that they put on eel,
Yeah, I think that's what it is. I love eel..
Use it around here for lumpia, which are Phillipine eggrolls. (2nd best after the Vietnamese fried egg rolls)
No, not that one. I am from the Philippines and I make lumpia. What I am looking for is what they put on Sushi. Thank you anyhow..

Here in South Texas were are in the midst of a 16 month drought...And its springtime, that means its calfing time.
You guys are so lucky...we pay too much for good beef and seafood here.
So if you want to pan roast your steak, go right ahead. Some of the finest restaurants do it that way
However, dump the marinade. Marinade are for cuts that are tough or tasteless
I just did what you said... The steak taste so good...
The trick is to use BEER.
Since I don't drink alcohol, is there a specific brand I have to buy? Does a liquor store sell one beer only? A six pack would just be a waste...
Felony Steak Crimes include; flipping more than once (don't dizzy your meat), trying to grill frozen meat (best way to kill flavor), grilling with the lid open (burnt crispy on the outside and cold on the inside), and using way to low of heat (best way to dry out a good cut of meat)
Since it is too cold for me to BBQ, I have to be contented indoors.. But I have followed all the instructions here except flipping it more than once.. The steak was too thick and I got the other side more well done. But it still tasted great according to my kids.
Personally, I prefer lobster over a good filet mignon.. or Surf and Turf if I am at a restaurant....

Most marinades probably have all the salt in them you would need. Suggest don't add any salt when you marinate something.
This is very true. I didn't use the Teriyaki for marinade. I just sprinkle sea salt and the MOntreal steak seasoning.
Some Costcos and Sam's Clubs have started carrying Prime grade Ribeye and NY Strips for $8.99/lb. If you know your steaks, then you know this is a HOT deal.
That is in US$. We pay more in Canada. But for 3 pcs. of Rib boneless @ Cdn $25.00, I thought it was worth the money, rather than paying a little less, but you're disappointed in the taste.
NY Strip is just the right side of a T-Bone
I will try to look for this cut. Do you think we will have this in British Columbia, as we are not close to New York?
I season it just before putting it on the grill and I've never had it get tough so it's false. Overcooking is the main reason steak ends up tough. Steak should be cooked medium-rare and never more than medium.
This is SO TRUE. Since I started this OP, I have picked up a lot of tips from all the advice here. I never used to have success in cooking a steak. I always overdo it, burn but raw in the middle. Then I put it back in the pan, and it is over done. At this point, my kids are HUNGRY
I can't remember the exact rational for the old custom of not salting meat before grilling...but I've watched plenty of good chefs salt, pepper, and season their cuts of meat before grilling or pan frying. I don't think it's an issue...and if salting meat was going to make it tough..wouldn't brining it really make it like shoe leather?
I have SALTED the last steak I cooked and it was very tender. I have brined my chicken ( not Turkey as I have no clue how to cook that type of fowl), and it turned out fine and not too tough, lol..
.Bring on summer...
OUCH... we have snow the other day....
I don't know 'trouble' somehow I picture someone taking your instuctions literally...

I would leave alone the marinade.
Take the steaks out of the fridge half hour before cooking.
Wash and them pat dry them with a paper towel.
Sprinkle enough salt and fresh ground pepper on the steaks, both sides.
Heat some olive oil in the pan or skillet - cover the bottom well.
When hot put the steaks in the pan and cook on high heat for 7 minutes one side, turn over and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
Use tongs to turn them. don't fork them around.
That's for medium size steaks, about inch and a half thick.
...but I put my potatoes for an hour in an oven and not done yet
Next time you want oven baked potatoes, try this restaurant trick:
Cut the potatoes in big wedges and boil them for a few minutes in a pot -until they start to soften- with:
1 glass of water
salt and pepper
juice of 1 lemon
oregano (optional)
half cup of olive oil or whatever oil you use.
When they start to soften, flip the whole thing in a pan and put it in preheated oven at 390 degrees.
By the time the water dries out, they will be golden brown on the outside, and creamy soft inside - delicious!
I am a brunette and I have trouble with TroubleAhoy's instructions,
I used yellow rubber gloves to clean my whole fish with heads
on still...Too bad *Trouble* doesn't have any profile here anymore...
Its not the cut of meat, its what you do with it...
I think this only applies to people who have been eating STEAK since they started solid food...
Personally, I thnk the cut of the meat made a huge difference in the way I cooked it. I still have 2 pcs of Steak to experiment as one whole steak was too big for myself and my daughter to share. Having said that, I still have a little leftover for my lunch the next day.... I used Club House Montreal Steak and sea salt, then high heat on my cast iron grill for several minutes. My daughter said it was the BEST TASTING STEAK she had ever had
Thank y'all!!!!

When I blacken food, I leave the cast iron pan on the heat at least 10 minutes on high. How long would you recommend heating the pan before adding oil?
Here's one question I have an answer for,
To check when your PAN is hot enough or ready, sprinkle a few drops of water. Once the water sizzles and dries up quickly, your pan is ready for your OIL/grease/ butter.. whatever you are using.. I hope this helps.
I bought another steak today at COSTCO.. Rib grilling steak boneless. The meat guy recommended this. I prefer mine with bone in as I like chewing the bone until there is no meat left. He says this is the best for my money, lol.. So I will try to cook this tomorrow with no marinade as most of you guys have advice ..

if you're doing it in a pan i would highly recommend a well seasoned cast iron pan/skillet. i would use a bit of grapeseed or similar oil with a high smoke point because you want to get the pan as HOT as possible to get a good sear/crust on the steak (olive oil smokes/flashes at a relatively low temperature).
- season the steak just before you're going to drop it (any earlier and the salt will pull moisture out of the meat)
- get the pan ripping hot and place the steak in and DON'T TOUCH IT for 2 mins
- flip once and let it cook for another 2 mins
- now the sear is done, transfer it into the oven to finish cooking under gentler heat until desired doneness (touch test, timings vary depending on the thickness)
- pull it from the oven, wrap it in foil and let it sit for at least 5 mins so the juices redistribute
This is such a very good explanation of how to cook steak. I cook one last night and it didn't turn right because I didn't go back to this site
Thank you.

Just the thought of steak makes me drool. Prefer to taste steak, just grill with groundnut oil.
I use a George Forman. A pain to clean, but easier if it's warm and use kitchen roll.
What is groundnut oil??

WarnerNW It sounds to me like you really know your STEAKS,
. Your advice was easy for me to understand . I love to BBQ , but the winter and cool air and cleaningof the BBQ is what prevents me from cooking outside.
Mystical Fantasy Thanks for the advice on Filet Mignon. I will try that type of cut the next time when I get back from the Philippines for a 3 week holiday. Meanwhile, the crabs should hide from me especially the GAY ones ( the best is the female and the gay crabs,
).
sanderick I like everything panfried,
Now that I have an understanding of the beef, I know what to do... cheap cuts, more marinade. Good cut, just salt and pepper.
Thanks to you all!!!

It sounds like most advice tells me that a good steak only needs salt and pepper to spice it with. I will go with that the next time I make it.
Thank you so much for all the advice, guys

Sounds yummy, I will try all the suggestions above. I have a BBQ but I don't use it too often because I always burn my steaks.. I have tried marinating my steak ( not the T-Bone cut) with red wine, then poke the meet with a fork on both sides, sea salted and peppered it, but it came out really dry. I think I had it too long because I saw blood oozing off the steak. Would that be because I poke holes into the steak or the red wine made the meat harder? I am a seafood
person and this whole STEAK thing is a mystery to me. The only beef I ate in the Philippines was when we cooked it in soups; and steaks would be ordered at restaurants only. Never cooked them my self

This might sound ridiculous but I am cooking a steak tonight. How do you sear on a frying pan a T-Bone steak? Can you marinate it in Teriyaki sauce before cooking in a pan and for how long does it take to cook a medium rare?
Please help...

The correct etiquette when posting a 'favorite' on POF?
Posted:
8/4/2008 11:30:36 PM
When someone lists you as a favorite yet no contact has ever been made,
People bookmarked for all sorts of reason. For the most part, they want to go back to your profile and check you out. I have been added to fav a hundred times and never been contacted. Perhaps, they just want to read your profile and go back to it, or it just simply amuses them, lol....but not being contacted by them or you for that matter and get offended, is crazyyyy....

Well, who's car is it in the first place. Is it his or yours, hmmm I am kinda confuse here!! Well, perhaps he doesn't know how to drive and shy to tell you this or he has no driver's license and legally he can't drive you around

ABSOLUTELY!! Met a few of them

I say hi to women here and sometimes don’t get any responses.
I just notice on your profile you have too many restrictions which means someone further than 75 miles won't be able to contact you. You are choosing whom you want to contact but what about some women who want to contact you with all your restrictions? Have you ever thought about that? If a woman is lets say 31 years of age, then with your restrictions, she can never contact you because of that.. So perhaps with less restrictions, you can have some women contacting you and women who won't say hello back won't hurt you that much..This is a dating site. Personally I respond to all the hi"s and hello's that comes my way and if it is a rude email, I reserve the right to either just delete it or ignore it. i am sure you will encounter more from here. Good luck in your fishing!!

After the break-up: What to do with all the gifts from your ex?

Very nice profile , BTW, Emilio.
If you are still in communication with her, ask if she wants some of it back. If not, then you decide which ones you want to keep or don't want to keep.
I have kept some of my Ex's stuff only because I wanted to tell the story ( complex to have to elaborate on this one) to my kids..
Hope that helps.

His response "gee. thanks".
He was just being polite to your compliment. Nothing more. I reply in the same context to most guys who would give such compliments. Then if they reply back with some more, the next email would be * sorry not interested*. Nothing personal, but just no attraction there.

How do women celebrate and deal with the BIG 50??
Posted:
1/7/2008 10:39:54 AM
my husband took me to Las Vegas for 4 days to celebrate.
Got to find me a husband first
I took a vacation to California, saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time
wow... that must be so exciting!
They cut their hair shorter, dye it blond and buy a red convertible. (at least that's what they do here)
I should move out there!
I dunno. I don't plan on turning 40 for at least another 10 years... So, 50 won't happen for another 25
Growing up, my mom never celebrated our birthdays. It was hard for me to prepare for my children's , because my brain wasn't wired that way. I thought on my 50th, I will do something special since I never celebrated the last 47 years!!
I might be able to take that vacation to Ireland I have been wanting to do for years. Who knows..I might never come back lol
I was thinking about taking a holiday to the Philippines since I haven't been there for more than a decade now and take my children with me. I will have to start saving now then.. but I plan to come back ha ha

I will be turning 50 Y.O. within the next few years. It is a big celebration for women here in North America when you turn 50 years old. I would like to know how some women celebrated their 50th birthday or how their friends/spouse surprised them with this big event in their life. Any input/ideas/suggestions from both gender would be much appreciated. Thank you

Not everyone is that way. In all fairness, people do elect to not own cars for a variety of reasons. Someone who sincerely holds such an opinion should be respected for having such a principle and sticking to it (within reasonable amounts, that is).
I guess you didn't read the whole story. If the guy believe in not owning a car, why would he expect a woman to pick him up. He can go on a public transport or walk.. First date and expect the woman to pick him up. That is so crazyyyyyyyy in my opinion.

Why do men lie on the question * Do you do drugs*?
Posted:

1. AlienSecrets>>> >Can you imagine walking into a room of strangers and announcing: "my boobs are fake, so is my hair, my contacts are the reason my eyes are blue .. I hope you'll accept me as I am!" .. lol .. strikes me as it would make as much sense to put a yes to that drug question.
2. my name is matt>>>> -To ensure you'll take your clothes off again.
3. hopergroper>>>> I had preferred not to say to that question, but admitted to occasional indulgence in my bio.
4. tgtger>>>>I actually DON'T do drugs, but you choose not to believe that because you don't trust yourself, therefore you think men are liars. People like you make it harder for men and the good men that I know.
5. uthinkinboutit>>>>so what are u really saying petite.....ur upset at men because they leave a little breathing room......would u like me to tell u a few stories about the breathing room women leave....hmmmmm...?
1. If no one is asking, why would you announce it. The question is posted for us to fill it up as best as we could honestly on our profile. If no one is interested in your profile, they won't even look at it. I personally think, using this an analogy, is not the same as when you are in a room of people. Just my opinion.
2. That's WHAT I JUST DID>>>>
3. I totally agree to your statement. It gives the person whose checking your profile * oh, so he does this kind of drug etc... etc...thus he/she can make a decision based on that.
4. Like I have said earlier on, the OP should have been in both gender and not just pertaining to MEN. I stand corrected.
5. I WOULD LOVE to hear all about your BREATHING ROOM stories

jspudotoole>>> 1. I think there are just as many women out there that could be asked the same question!
2. valleyjavastop>>>it would be nice to have a few more options to click rather then yes or no..
3. DAKOTATRUCKCOUNTRY>>>They are probably afraid to admit that they have a drug problem, and use NO, to cover themselves. However, I hear ya, when ya say, why do they lie.
4. BRIAN10>>>> This is one of biggest beefs about this site and other internet dating sites...and OP I agree with others the topic should apply to both , men and women here.
5. thegoalisfun>>>> Good question... I wanna know why they lie about their height. I mean seriously, it's not like its subjective.
6. Jack_sprat It just leaves a trail of victims, who did not process 'due diligence'. Assume everyone lies, and you won't be disappointed.
7. Xavery>>>I have bigger issues with people who say they don't smoke and then it turns out they smoke.
8. Pucks>>>The Opening Post would be better stated as "Why do SOME men lie on the question, do you do drugs? "...this way NOT all men are classified as lying dope addicts.
9. TeddyBear_Lar>>>>This is a public forum. People must relealize that employers co workers and family members can have access to this info. Same as facebook.
1. I used Men because I was mainly asking a question that pertains to me personally. I stand to be corrected on this * The OP headline should have been *why do SOME PEOPLE* , then it would have been more appropriate for both genders
2. I absolutely agree. Since we don't have that option, I think that people should at least say a little bit about their habit if they clicked the *NO* button. If * prefer not to say* was clicked, it will give the person reading it an idea or a clue that that is an option for discussion. If I looked at a profile with a *NO* answer to that question, do you think it is polite to ask in the first place whether they do it or not? Perhaps, I am so naive in this department to think otherwise, and I think it would be rude to ask that question ( if ever i want to ask that ?, how can it be asked in a polite manner, since my grammar and usage of the English language has been questioned/ corrected/ here already a few times,
!!)
3. Yeah, exactly, why do PEOPLE have to lie?
4. I stand corrected on just using one gender using a stool to increase my height
5.
It wasn't my intention when I lied about my height! I wrote down on my profile my real height (4'10 feet 3/4 inch and my real weight 83 pounds) , because we cannot click the right one or type the exact height
I am only speaking and defending for myself. And to those of you who lies about your height, common admit it now. My advice in meeting someone, bring a TAPE MEASURE
. Also make sure you check underneath their pants, they might be wearing stilettoes like myself ( mine is 4 1/2 inches high, I won't lie about this because it is the TRUTH). Men do not care women's height , but some women do care when you lie about your height...
6. I am practicing and learning that now!!
7. To each his/her own preference. To some people, drinking is a big issue, for thegoalisfun, it was the height issue. To you, it is the smoking issue. In general, we shouldn't mislead the fishes with the wrong bait
8. I second the motion and to reiterate for the nth time * I stand corrected on this!!
9. * prefer not to say* personally would give me an idea to post that question to the person involved. To say * no * means you really do not do drugs at all. On a SURVEY, should I be ( I have never experienced/tried any kind of drugs except prescription drugs for anti-biotics and some pain killers when I had Norwalk virus and been at the hospital) categorized and labeled to people who have used drugs ?
I agree to using discretion and still keeping some privacy about it. My problem is with people who click * no* to that question and would never even discuss it with you, is one that I am more concern with. So I guess I didn't originally post a better forum..

Why do men lie on the question * Do you do drugs*?
Posted:

1. my name is matt marijuana's not a drug. it's just a plant.
2. bcboy72 So...if we used to use but don't anymore...can we still click the "no" button?
3. blazerblazer It's hard enough to meet people without being pre-judged. -Last ... you should be able to notice a crack head meth head or coke head when you first lay eyes on them.
4. Mountain Lion 1 tobacco, alcohol ?
Let's see, if you are opposed to either or both you will not even give the person the time of day, now won't you? On to the next...
5. Tyeee First of all I think it would have been more appropriate for you to ask "Why do some men lie..." for you really have to believe that some of us do NOT do drugs (or cannabis). I know for a fact one man that does not. >>>Some of us do not stoop so low and truly are honest. I know that for a fact!
6. jspudotoole because I have physical issues that surround being a Para in a wheelchair that have me using perscrption drugs most times for infections, and sometimes for pain issues.
7. Walts More than likely "some" lie or tell a fib because they have already told the truth ... It also involves weight, smoking, marriage, description subjects also. The past while on here I have discovered the new definition of "average" when it comes to body type .>>And thus, the "fibbing", so that "some" can fit what those "others" are looking for.
8. IncognitoGuido No one is actually telling the truth on here. They are all advertising.
1. I know it is definitely not a vegetable or a meat product processed. And if it's abused, it can be addictive, otherwise it would have been available on the produce department
2. I think the answer to that a would be a *no*.
3. I would never have a clue. I can't even tell a drunk person unless they are slurring or falling off their feet
People such as me who have an allergy to alcohol weren't expose so much and since I never go to the bar to drink, I can't tell.
4. If a person is presently a smoker, the answer is NO for health reasons. I can't stand the smell of a cigarette and I have asthma that will trigger my coughing. If he is an EX smoker, I will definitely consider it. I think that is just fair.
5. I am not very good with words but it did say on the content of the message *Honestly, I have met some guys that says *No* to that question *. I missed one very important word * SOME* on the heading..opppsy. I can speak for myself and I believe in honesty or to the best of my ability I am being honest
6. I don't think this is what I meant with my question. Some people might get addicted to their prescription drugs, and since it is prescription, they wouldn't refer to themselves as druggies. However, if you're using it for medical reason, then you do not fall into the *lying* category.
7. We can always click what we want people to believe, then go more into detail on the *about you* profile. If someone didn't read that and overlooked it, then you're definitely lying. We can click socially for smoking or for drugs, then you can elaborate more into details whatever you want people to know. By clicking the *NO* button, I would assume that you never really did any kind of drug. As for me for example, I never learn how to smoke, never been drunk in my whole life nor tipsy for that matter, and never tried the *lettuce* because I don't even know how to inhale the darn thing, even if I tried to. Trust me, I tried it a few times. All I have experience was the magic mushroom which was taken orally by mistake in an omelette when I first dated my Ex and we were in my country for him to be assuming that I am a *local* that I knew all about it
I swear, I would never make that mistake ever again.
As for the body type, I clicked the *thin*, I think slim would have been appropriate to describe myself. I changed it to average and I got comments telling me I am not average.
People have different ways of looking at you!
8. We are all advertising, for sure. False advertising to some but Not EVERYONE!

Honestly, I have met some guys that says *No* to that question , then later on you're talking to them, they will tell you the drugs they have used or are still using. May it be Cannabis marijuana or other form of drugs. Why can't they be honest about clicking the * prefer not to say * , * occasionally*, or even * often 3X a week*. They mislead you by answering * no* to that question. . Have any other POFer's have this same experience as myself? Or am I the only one here?

I like the "divide your age in half", and that is how many years older than yourself that you can date. then you divide that number in half again, and then divide THAT number in half to get how many years younger.
Good mathematics that I have to ask my son to figure out mine

I contact 10 or 12 ladies online....but some ladies when I show my pic.(bald) stop the contact ...close the MSN windows....and I never respond for my Instant mes.
I AM SO CURIOUS whom did you contact in the first place? Did you contact women who has hair as well or BALD LIKE YOU? Did you contact women who have no pictures and attached a bald picture or did you mislead them with attaching a pic with hair at one point?
I got to get the whole picture of the whole story. Difficult to make a decision as a JUDGE!!What was the real circumstance to the scenario

Dinner Date - Who Pays?
Posted:

It was my suggestion to go for dinner, and I'm wondering what to do if she offers to pay half the bill. Should I accept?
It was your suggestion in the first place. Meaning you invited her. She might try to offer half the bill, but hey, you would lose a point if she is testing you. Gentlemen do not invite a girl for dinner and let them pay half of the cost. If both of you decided to go for dinner, then that is a different story altogether. It doesn't matter even if she makes 3X as much as you do. That isn't the point here. You are in the courtship stage and I think chivalry has to play a role until you both are very comfortable with each other. You are keen on her, WIN her!! But just my opinion, I might be raised differently with a different background altogether.
In 1987 when I was still single and live in the Philippines, I met an gentleman from England who was working in Saudi Arabia, he sent me a round trip ticket to meet him in Gatwick Airport ( I forgot if it was Heathrow , sorry!). I didn't even spend a pound. He can afford it but he offered it. I know what guys were thinking, but NO, I came back home and still a virgin...

You have to have more male friends. You got attached to him and he has other female friends to entertain him while you go crazy over him.
Hard but I was in the same dilemma before. Lost one pound a day. Not a good sight. GO OUT and meet more people..

Questions about circumcision: Is it too late for a 12 year old to be circumcised?
Posted:
11/30/2007 2:53:14 PM
Is he too old to have it done? Will you find a doc that would do it at this age? Probably not. At the age of twelve a procedure like this being performed for cosmetic reasons would probably face high scrutiny from many system levels.
I think doctors can perform that surgery even to a full grown up adult, provided it is not for cosmetic reasons. If he incurred an infection, that's the only time they would do any kind of surgery. Being Asian, we were taught/encourage to wash our privates. I thought about it when he was born. I have few friends who have children ages 2 or 3 at present, that choose d circumcision on their boys, because it was the culture they were raised to.
My son hasn't mentioned anything so far and if in the future, he would make that decision, I was told it is a very easy procedure that you go in and out of the hospital on the same day. I was contacted by a young guy in the US and told me the details on the procedure of his circumcision at age 21, when he had incurred an infection.

Preference vs. requirements?

I like your preferences. Very funny but I have to check what is a *GUSANO* in a Tequila and a demitasse in an Espresso. I don't drink any of the two above mentioned. I like my instant coffee readily available in one minute once you have boiling water. If there is a blackout in my area, all I need is a BBQ with an attached burner to boil my H2O for my coffee

Preference vs. requirements?
Posted:

I get confused when reading about people's "preferences" when they use them in the context of must-haves. To me, those aren't preferences, they're requirements... and preferences aren't exclusive, whereas requirements are.
I would have been so confused myself with the English language. There are so many synonyms. You are very articulate in pointing that out. When I translate in my brain using my first language, I would say close my ears, close the light, close the door , close the window, close the blinds, close the phone, close the TV/ stereo, close the water/tap/shower, close the computer, close the closet, close the electricity, close your mouth. But some are grammatically incorrect. I have to know my proper usage of the word two from the to and too. The words their, there and they're. I find that English is the hardest language to know next to Mandarin. I learned Mandarin in school for 11 years and I still cannot communicate in that language. At least I still remember how to write my name in Chinese character.
I get confused when reading about people's "preferences" when they use them in the context of must-haves. To me, those aren't preferences, they're requirements... and preferences aren't exclusive, whereas requirements are.
So... some people really might meant differently for what they have written. I have been contacted by men, that when I read their profile, my profile do not fit in their requirements

i can believe everyone has been ditching me because i don't have a picture ....

After viewing my picture, I haven't heard from all except one gentlemen.
In my own personal experience, I have been messaged by plenty of MEN who have no picture even if I have stated in my profile *YOU need to have a pic to message me* . Then I would give them an opportunity to send their pic. Well, I am not attracted to the pic, so I would send a courtesy (rejection) email. Then I would get a response that I am shallow. What's up with that? blushingrose39 >>> I think after you send them your picture, they might not have found the same attraction you might have for them. Nothing personal but Men are very VISUAL. Physical attraction to most guys are very important as to most women. I am not saying that you are not attractive . I think that even before you go any further with the communication and getting to know them, a picture must be sent right away or asked for that matter, so you know whom you are talking to before getting any further. That one gentleman must have found you very attractive , indeed!! Just my thoughts..
I have now begun to develop a complex about how I look, because if you guys read my profile, I believe I'm a pretty decent sort...both INSIDE AND OUT. I'm starting to give up hope;
If you are confident INSIDE AND OUT, you shouldn't give up hope. There is always one fish for every lure..unless it is not FEEDING TIME, but you can always come back at a different time!

i thought the most important part in a relationship is not how you look is who really are ... the picture is just a compliment
I ABSOLUTELY agree on this one. However, my problem is *why would people who have no picture contact someone who has a picture* ? If I have no pic posted, then person contacting me has a pic, that is his prerogative. Then if the person contacting me has no photo, I understand that because I have no picture as well. FAIR ENOUGH!

Are meeting younger guys up for friendship wrong if both parties exactly in agreement?
Posted:

I'd have a DEFINITE problem with you if I found out my 20 year old son was meeting you OR bringing you home.
First, I didn't realize that you would still have control over your son's decision as to whom he chooses to meet. I wouldn't be going home with your son anyways. I don't think I would be going home with your son anyways for that matter. I have went out with my younger co-workers both male and female and have always given them advice on smoking cigarettes and pot. My thread was about *just to meet younger adults for friends, nothing more, nothing less. I am shocked by people who jump into conclusion as to why a younger male would meet an older women. Some young men actually find it more comfortable talking to other people other than their relations or family. I have rejected meeting younger adults who have a different agenda in their mind....
As for the rest of you guys who has given a more open minded and mature opinion, I thank you all

would you jump in a stretch limo if it stopped and a woman/man ask if you wanted to jump in
It all depends what the circumstance was . If my car broke down and I need a lift to get home quickly, I would definitely accept the offer.. But before I would do that, I will asked if he has a cell phone I could borrow and call a friend and give the license plate number of the limo, name and a description of the person offering the ride. roll:
Just for safety reason.
There could be a number of reasons for the offer of a ride. Once it has established what the offer was , if i am in for an adventure, I would go for it. What's life without taking the risk? Follow your instinct and be smart about it..
Too bad I can't drink, in case there's alcohol being offered. I will definitely try the virgin Margaritas.. Yummmmyyyy

I have encounter a dilemma with one person here who started asking questions about how my fishing here is going. I answered honestly and below are an actual excerpts on the exchanges of emails.
"Most were too young, as young as 21 but only came up to meet for coffee(I guess they are curious as to what I look like). Obviously, some really only wanted to get laid and that was made clear so I stay away from that. This is my answer
This is his reply and to 3 emails. Obviously, some really only wanted to get laid and that was made "Come on get serious...You knew that before you met these guys. You were just getting your ego stroked. For once I'd love a women to actually admit that she's not reaaly looking for anything other then atention. No women your age even thinks of meeting a guy in there 20's unless she wants to get laid or to make her feel young & sexy again.Yet you can't tell me that meeting up with guys in there 20's,doesn't make you feel good inside as compared with someone in your own age brackette?Hey your forty seven, You shouldn't even think of meeting anyone thats under 37
I wonder what' wrong with meeting guys if both parties agreed that it was just for friendship?
This thread might sound redundant, however, I think a lot ( NOT ALL) of guys think that it is okay for men to pick younger women and not VICE VERSA. If one guy says this to me ( btw, we have already met a year ago or so), how many more men think this way? I have met younger males more mature than older males. Is age still a big deal ? However, my issue is, what if the young male wanted to meet up just for friendship? Is there any rule to that???
