Avoiding challenges........? I don't think it will happen personally, but an Obama presidental win will put an end to the challenge Avoidence issue, if there is one. You and I see the same problem but have different views about it. Personal Responsibility sure; no intelligent person will have a problem with that. There are other issues that people have to deal with that perhaps you aren't able to see or may never witnessed. We have to function, pay taxes and be responsible people in the face of the hostility of others. These are the extra challenges on top of the normal ones that others don't have to face. For many solitude is a big part of the solution to this problem, where energy can be spent only on the problems at hand without having to deal with all the extras that others don't have to face. I don't see Obama as liberal at all. Barack Obama is conservative. If he wins, he'll have more republicans in his administration than any other democratic presidential elect. Rev Wright isn't a man of Dead End Hate, if he were there would be no white members that attend his church, there are white members who attend his church on a regular basis. How would you explain that? Not just one white member, but several. Could the comments by this Rev. have been taken out of context?

Dave, if you think you had / have limits imposed on you for being a whitemale, try being black. 232 years of favored status vs. 40 years of grudging hostility asking people to just do what's right. Then they close those small little chances and still raise hell for having done that little bit of nothing. You absolutely, positively don't even begin to have a clue.

Boy, when I started to read this it really had me going. There is a difference to me between girl or guy feeling your girlfriend. Your girlfriend should be able to handle a woman feeling on her. I don't understand how Obama can be leading in the polls if he is as incompetent as people say he is in becoming president. Big part of becoming president is to run an effective campaigne. How can Obama become president? " You can look at him and see that he doesn't know anything, right ? " I mean just by looking at people it can be known what they know, right? Who cares that Barack Obama was Valedictorian of Harvard. If he was Valedictorian of Harvard, clearly, he must have been a good guesser. So, we are going to make someone president of the United States because he guesses well? Clearly, he guessed his way through Harvard. You can tell that by looking at him. So what, George W. Bush was only a "C" student at Harvard. The only thing that Barack has over the current president is that he (Obama) was better at guessing. He surely doesn't know more than president Bush. We can tell that by looking at him.

Never heard of the game you are talking about. Weirdest ( I wouldn't use this term to describe the childhood games I played ) couldn't really say. A different game from most that I played was called " Skillet ". We'd play it in Baltimore, Maryland (my home town, on the west-side of town they called it, " Skully " (The real technical name). I played on the east-side (the same side of town as Memorial Stadium). This game would really draw you in when you'd play it. The great thing about it was we'd play right in front of the house so parents always knew where we were when we'd play it. The game is rather involved and would take too long to explain here, but needless to say, playing it helped us all to learn more about our friends. The best time of my life as a child.

Iconoclast; This isn't a problem. I learned myself how powerful the internet is for hairstylist. I was dating a woman who was a stylist and I put her on craig's list and she was blown away by the numbers of new customers that came her way. Change your profile as to your profession is the only other thing I can think of doing for yourself if you don't like the response. But know that what you happen to do is so well suited for the internet that you'd be amazed by the numbers in the amount of business this woman was able to bring into her business. It's as if the internet was created for hairstylist. This woman made thousands in a weekend.

If you want it, do chase it. But be smart about it. If you notice a guy and you think that the two of you are a great fit together, God, Please by all means go after him. But I would say, be smart about it. Tell him how you feel about him, but don't demand an immediate response from him. I know that I would respond very well to a woman whose woman enough to say something like this to me for example: " Hello, you know I've been noticing you for sometime now and for some reason that I can not explain, I find that I'm drawn to you sexually. I don't know why but for some reason I believe that you & I would be a good fit for oneanother. You now know where I stand, (hand the guy your name and phone #) this is my name & number; think about what I've said and if you'd like to explore this further give me a call. Of course, the sooner you call the more flattered, I'll be " ,then just walk away. Don't make the huge mistake of demanding an answer from him right away. Let the man be alone with the idea of you, give him time to fantasize about you, think about you, let his soul wonder about you. The most powerful way for a woman to seduce a man is to let him know where you stand and then give him time & space to think about it. Not the " Tell me now if you're interested approach".

From reading the O.P., what I hear is a woman who thinks that she doesn't have to show any interest in the guy. He has to make all "ALL" the moves to get the relationship moving forward? Well, these shares didn't come to zero, but they did go to .25 cents per share. My cousin bought them lastweek and already today he is up about 700% return on his money within one week. I did try to point out to members here to buy them. If every member of POF had listened to me, their pockets right now would be growing to full. I did the best I could do. Those who thought my idea here was laughable, and stupid, whose laughing now ? !!!

I heard a report that the government take over is only temporary to get the company back on solid footing. If these companies aren't going out of business, even if temporarily delisted, (delisting doesn't close a business by the way). I've experienced a company being delisted only to return from a price of zero, back to $3.50 per share 11 months later. Delisting occurs after price goes to less than $1.00 per share for a period of time. I'm getting a different picture than the rest of you here. If the share price is going to zero and the company's not going out of Business and the problems that caused the problem in the first place are being fixed? All these things being factual. If I thought the business was going to fail, I'd still make a small bet against myself. I'd say for example, Freddy Mac is going out of Business, but just in case they don't; I'll buy $300.00 dollars worth, just in case. I'm telling all of you, that I've seen this before, but not with a company as vital as Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae. A fraction of a penny bet is well worth it to me. If I'm wrong, $500.00 dollars gone still makes me poor. Being right could mean as much as $12 Million dollars in my stock portfolio. amg72 says: " Yes the government did create these agencies and IMHO they never should have been privated. I would never ask a whitewomen out because I would never assume that a whitewoman would ever be interested. Plus; mostly I was raised to try not to be a bother to women. Yet, I still meet and date my fair share.

Currently these shares are selling for .86 cents per share. The speed of the fall seems to suggest that the shares will go to Zero. I for one can not not play these at that price. Zero represents some (yet unknown, fraction of a penny). Which could mean many 100's of a percent return on each penny's rise. Example; to buy at 1/16 of one penny. If the shares were to go up one penny after that, the return would be 1,600% from one single penny's rise. The compounding interest would be mindblowing. These shares here are very high risk, but the reward far outweighs the risk in this situation in my opinion. The government take -over seems to be temporary.

"Why is Obama reffered to as "black"? The answer to this question has it's root in history. You'd have to really understand America's segregated history. In the not so long ago past especially in the south, white-racist would trip over themselves to prove who was more racist. The stronger your racism, the more one was rooted to "The Southern Way of Life". The silliness got so silly that, soon after it became popular for them to say, " If a white-person has one drop of Black-Blood, in my eyes (the racist might say); He's still "an adulterated spanish word for Black". This idea wasn't born from the Black community if that's what you wanted to know. Most of us simply acquiesced to the notion. Interesting, too; how many (racist/tribalist collectivist) complain that Mexicans should speak english, yet many love trying to speak this spanish word and even manage to screw that up.

" Any Good way to talk About Race " ? I'm presuming across cultural lines. Well, there's a group of people who call themselves, " Baha`is "; " They are members of the Baha`i Faith ". They seem to do well at discussing this topic. Members of the Baha`i Faith exist in every city in America ( see your local Yellow Pages to find your local group). This may be a problem for some, but the Baha`is believe in "One Race", "The Human Race". This being a core belief, it should come to no surprise to learn that the "Baha`i Faith" also promotes interracial and inter-cultural marriage across racial-cultural and economic lines. I can share this because I'm not a member of the Baha`i Faith. If I were Baha`i, I would not be able to share this with you.

Andyjp; Try joining Toastmasters. It will help with the anxiety in socializing. Feel the fear and just walk through it. The more you do it, the easier it gets. Toastmasters isn't about dating, but it will deal directly with the social anxiety thing.

If you felt genuine closeness to his family, it's ok to call them and to tell them only that you and their son are no longer a couple. I really feel bad that your story validates my view about relationships. I wanna say it, but I don't want to offend your sensibilities. I can only put it in a way that I think a woman would understand. Snhagood, I no longer have any faith in my ability to pick a mate. So, I won't pick one. The only thing I can do is have friends. Sounds like (sorry); "Are you putting your kid up to not liking her" ? Abuses can happen any-which-way. Drugs indeed are a very serious problem. But no, children should not be that close to the love-lives of their parents. They don't get to decide. But you could make the case that because the woman is/was a drug user, that your kid not be alone with her. I would understand that. I remember a woman wanted a first date with me, but she wanted to bring her kid. I thought it was weird and never bothered afterwards. I would never tell my children who they should love, so the favor should easily be returned. My mother stuck her nose in my love life once and I made it clear to her that from now on out, she'll never again meet another one of my lovers. I separate my love-life from certain other parts of my life and it works.

It happened to me too windsor saints08. But it wasn't that I thought it was a joke. I feared future heartbreak. I knew that once I had this girl. My heart would not have been able to take losing her. I choose to not miss what I never had and rejected her offers of growing closer. That was over 21 years ago and today, I can't get her out of my mind.

From what I've been told. Only a crazy person would actually use a drug's name on the internet. Instead, people would say something like "420 friendly". This is what I was told when I asked someone else on-line about it. They wouldn't be on this site doing it. They would be on Craig's List. I see this on Craig's List A whole lot. And they use it on those night-time chat-lines on latenight T.V., too; from what I was told.

Honestly, I think the danger in doing it rises in proportion to how socially active the couple is naturally. Loners have a much easier time and social butterflys open themselves up to more difficulty.
