Tubular Bells
The color purple
Running out of checks and not booklet left in the box to use.
Four out of five dentists. I'm going to the 5th one!
Clown cars
Karaoke machines that won't play my own karaoke cds.
People who think these
are cute.
Half naked guys in front of the computer (ooopp.. better put some pants on.)
The fact that three things I want to get all are coming out on the same day and I can't get them all because the money is just not there so I have to type out my frustrations to anyone who reads this! Die marketers, die!
Remakes of classic films. They're classic for a reason nimrods!
"EPIC FAIL" of the retooled Knight Rider series. (Sorry Fleur De Lis. I just had to say it.)
Dragons.... they leave behind such large mounds of dung!

Singing frogs.
A man wearing a tutu.
Poop flavored ice cream.
Ice cubes. Why not round or triangled?
Fake Plather
Paper towels with images printed on them.
Brown picture frames.
Head stones you can read the names of.
Kinetico water softners.
People who buy fake vampire teeth... and don't have any in the first place.

More things that annoy me.
Sticky keyboards. Usually found after a booger eating kid has been using it.
Trick or treating at 4 in the afternoon.
Printer ink that says "Get 60 photo printings" but only get 59.
A strong breeze blowing across the sewer treatment plant.
Cell phone batteries that quit in the middle of a drug deal.
Magic tricks done by really bad illusionists.
Pumpkin carvings that don't even look like anything.
Karaoke bars that only play country music.
Halloween stuff at Walmart.
Atomic Fireballs that aren't hot enough.
The word "Snippy."
Wizards Of The Coast not putting out an all black set of Magic The Gathering cards.
Being unable to make it past the first level of Left 4 Dead in Expert Mood.
Short arm hair on women.
Long arm hair on women.
Hair on any part of a womans body other than her head and eyebrows.
Nose hair. Mine mostly.
More later.

What - a - knob - head... I think DS9 was the best out of the whole set. It went were the other shows never did up till then. War was the obvious over all theme along with all the things that come with it. Then of course, it covered such matters as gay love, human rights issues, slavery, and much more. I don't think any other show touched so much upon the themes this version of Trek did.
I agree with you that Enterprise was given a bad rap by jaded Trek fans. It is the second choice for me in the Trek set. It tried to do what DS9 did but wasn't given the full run of 7 years it deserved.
Call Classic Trek what you will, it still holds a place in my heart. :)

Is kissing more or less important to you in a relationship as you get older?

As a 50 year old... I've found that Kissing is very important. A successful relationship must have this. It doesn't matter what kind of kiss you give... as long as you give it and receive it with an open heart.

THE KISS
05/12/09
The kiss was long
The kiss was sweet
The kiss of two lovers
Who were destined to meet.
The kiss was refreshing
The kiss was so deep
They could feel it from
Their heads to their feet.
The kiss went on
The kiss was eternal
The kiss would make them
Burn like an inferno.
The kiss was not fleshly
The kiss went more deep
Than two lips touching
And hearts that skip beats.
The kiss is two souls
The kiss is the bond
The kiss is what they wanted
The kiss which they longed.

I SHALL
5/29/09
I shall waken every morn,
And whisper into thy ear,
Of how I love thee so deeply
Oh precious and wonderful dear.
And I shall touch thee in the morn,
With gentle, loving strokes,
That will slowly waken thee,
From dreaming slumber broke.
I shall hold thee in the light,
Of early morning sun,
And kiss thy tender lips,
For thou art mine only one.
I shall love thee tenderly,
For angel thou art truly,
And beauty be upon thy soul,
And refreshes ever newly.
I shall help thee in the coming day,
To stand against the world,
I shall take the problems of thy life,
And give them such a hurl.
I shall never let thee cry again,
In tears that come from sadness.
For thou art mine to protect,
And I do it all with gladness.
I shall lay thee down upon our bed,
When eve of day comes nigh,
And whisper once again oh love,
Of how thou makes my soul cry.
For while in slumber away I'll be,
From the golden wonderful life,
And I shall miss the one I call,
My sweet and lovely wife.
I shall love thee oh Elaine,
For thou art mine to love.
I shall love thee day and night,
Upon Earth or Heaven above.
I shall never cease these yearnings,
That cause my heart to soar.
For I have loved thee throughout time,
And shall for ever more.

DREAMS OF ELAINE
06/29/09
Through slumber travels I came upon
A shady wooded path
And following down to water's edge
I found a lovely lass
Her hair was that of shining gold
Her eyes like blue sapphire
Her bosom bare and maidenhood
Did fill me with desire.
What doth I do with such fine fair
That tantalized my eyes
I took her there within my arms
And with her I did rise
The passion that doth filled the air
Did answer lover's calls
And then with peek of passion reached
In love with her I'd fall
Now each and every night I walk
That shady wooded path
And love the golden haired girl
That is my bonnie lass
One day she'll be my bonnie bride
And dreams of her will end
For I'll not need to dream again
For my arms she will be in
I love thee blonde and blue eyed fair
I'll love thee all my life
For through the years my bonnie girl
You'll be my loving wife
Yes you'll be all I'll ever need
Through sun, snow, and rain
I'll love and adore ye girl
My bonnie bride Elaine

I'm leaving all my commentary until the beginning of the final season this fall. However, I'm willing to bet it becomes a very bad time loop ending, where they are unable to change anything and simply repeat it all again.... It's been done before... in a little show called The Time Tunnel.

Animals dressed up in costumes.
Eyebrows that don't match the hair.
Wholes in walls... including doors and windows!

Poop that smells like flowers.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that Jacob want's something to happen on the island (which I call Atlantis) that might actually be world shattering... say... bringing the island to light for the whole world to see. His buddy, perfering not to let normal humans know the island (Atlantis) is there has been fighting against Jacob all this time. Jacob might be the fly in the ointment for the island. Just a thought.
Smokie... maybe he has been Jacob's buddy all along! Able to change into person he wants. We don't know if it can leave the island or not so it is possible that this guy is really Smokie!

No Spicy... you're in the same season as us. And sorry to say... but next season will be the final one! So be watching because it's going to be a non-stop roller coaster ride all season long. Lots of plot twists which will throw you for a loop.
Is Juliet dead? I think not. I am willing to bet that she will be thrown forward in time and come out with no real damage to speak off. The island will most likely cure her. I think this will bring great joy to Sawyer and relief to Jake... who still loves Kate and she him.
I'll see you all next season!

I was agreeing with you Wild Heart. :) I think Jacob wanted Hurley to return to the island because Hurley was one of those he chose to survive the crash. I think Jacob's friend wanted Hurley to go back in order to give him another face to wear while on the island. The devil is in the fine print, so to speak. There is certainly a good vs evil thing going on between Jacob and this other fellow. Both are immortal, yet maybe they can be killed by normal humans. That would suck!
I still look at Ben as the dutiful follower. But when his own leader tells him he's nothing in the grand scheme of things... Ben, instead of accepting his place in that plan, attempts to kill his leader.
Someone mentioned the Blackrock. It is the one that Jacob was watching as it sailed to the island. How it got into the jungle is something we'll find out come next season. Since next season is the final one, every little loose end will be tied up. It will be one heck of a season... but I'm hoping they make it a normally long season and not the short ones they've been having.

Yes, Desmond and Penny decided to name the boy after Charlie the, now dead, rock star whom Desmond had befriended and tried to save many times over. I'm thinking that when Hurley first saw Charlie after he had died, it was this person posing as Locke. It could be the man has been posing as a lot of people in order to get to Jacob. But if he was off island and couldn't get back to it, that would make no sense. He is one of the Originals!

Oh man... I cried when .... died. (edited because others haven't seen it yet.) It did drive me nuts with all the changing of her mind through out the episode. I really can relate with .... because he stood to his guns, even when she kept changing her mind. In the end, I wept. Such pain... such love.
I don't think this is going to change anything. I think it will only blow them all into the present again. Remember Jacob said "Their coming."
Oh yes... and now we meet the mysterious Jacob. He's very very very old, but looks like he's in his 30's. Next year I imagine we'll learn more about what his roll was back when the island belonged to HIS people, not the army left overs that became the Others.
My point about Ben was also proven last night. He is the good guy. Doing what he was asked to do and never questioning. Loyal to a fault... even if it meant lying and killing someone to keep the island safe. Poor Ben... he was just a tool and didn't know it.
Locke... Locke... what can I say? That just put a whole new twist on things! "Looks like you found the loophole."

Yes, it could that is so. But I'm not so sure Smokie is a bad being. If it was, it might have tried to kill Locke instead of leaving when it first met him. Of course... here's another idea. What if Jacob and Smokie are one and the same, with Smokie being the body and Jacob the soul? It could be that they've been turn apart some how and Jacob needs to be reunited with Smokie to be whole again. Hmmmm.

I loved the new film. It does something that will help with problems created by the original series. By resetting some events of the old t.v. series, they can now iron out a more solid continuity!
Best character by far was McCoy. That guy who plays him was right on the money!
The most surprising thing was the love affair.
The Romulan commander does bring back memories of Khan and that is what Abrams was aiming for.
Kirk's life is slightly altered now because of the events we see take place. But then again, we see it really hasn't changed his character much. He is just more bad assed.
Spock... what can I say... another dead on.
The only thing I have a problem with is Chekov. My lord, his accent was so thick even I couldn't understand him at times. Gezzz.. litten up on it a bit okay? It's funny at first but gets annoy after awhile.
I'm looking forward to another film now. I don't want a series. Films are the best for Trek now. Perhaps in another 10 years, we can return to a television series. J.J. Abrams will have to head it up though. He did wonders for Star Trek. I think he can do it again.

Here's a thought.... Richard Alpert might actually be an Egyptian who discovered eternal life. Remember the runes on the walls where Smoke comes out? It maybe that He was one of the true natives of the island. Also, it may be possible that we can go back to my original idea that the island is actually Atlantis and Alpert is the last Atlantian! If Atlantis had the power it is suppose to have, it might have not sank at all... but moved through time!
Just food for thought.

That maybe so, but I don't think Locke will want to leave the island ever again. I'm still pulling for Ben to be the good guy. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I just don't see how Widmore can be the good guy. We didn't get to see why Widmore was banished from the island and we also didn't see why Daniel's mother was taken off the island. We know that things were okay between them when they left the island. They had Daniel together. But something tore them apart. Most likely the reason Widmore want's to go back to the island and what he's doing to get there.
As it moves along, I think it is becoming more apparent that an alternate time line may be made. But as I've said before, they will remember what happened because they'll remember their own pasts. They'll just be in a different time line and that would allow Locke to stay on the island.

From what I've been hearing, next season will be the last. And with the seasons being so short, I think the producers will be wrapping it all up pretty quickly. I believe all that is left is to figure out who Jacob is, how Arron fits in (he is suppose to be some thing special,) where Claire has been and getting the island protected from Widmore for good.

It's good to see that the survivors are getting out of their lethargic way of life and getting back into being on the run again. But I still think Daniel is wrong. He won't be able to change history. Of course... I don't know. I'm just a spectator of the events. I think it's terrible that his own mother had to send him back to the island just so she could shoot him when he goes back in time. If anything could be changed, don't you think she would have NOT sent him back and just let him be the little boy who liked playing piano?
No... I think that nothing will change and the writers still have an out for getting our lost friends out of the situation their in. Besides, Locke hasn't weighed in on all this yet.

I'm happy to see other Trek fans speaking up here. It's almost a taboo subject in social sites like this. But if you talk about LOST or 24... everyone can relate. Why is that? Trek is just as cool as (and in some cases, better than) the programs you see on T.V. today. Just because Trek is full on Sci Fi and has a massive following, anyone who hears someone talking Trek instantly gets that look in their eyes. "Oh... one of those people." Holy crap. I don't say that about someone who watches all the CSI shows that are out there. They like it, I dig that. I don't put them down for it.
Those who read these forums and think Trek Folk are retarded or geeky should get a clue.
I'm going to the new movie on May 9th. I'd go first showing on the 8th, but I have to work. I must admit that it won't be Trek without hearing all the catch phrases from Classic Trek. You know... "Damn it, Jim! I'm a doctor not a (fill in the blank!)" or "I canna give her any more! If I do, she'll blow. Ya canna change the laws o' physics!" or "Hailing frequencies open." or "Kipton, there's Klingons on the starboard bow!" You get the idea. I hope J.J. Abrams does a great job with this film, but I also want to see some of the flavor of the original in it.
Live long and prosper.

I should also add that it has been widely held that anyone traveling back in time may actually cause a splitting in the time line. For instance, I go back and stop J.F. K. from being shot. In my own time line, that still happened, but now a new time line branches off from my history and different events take place which means I can't go back to my own time line as well because I am now in an alternate reality. If anyone remembers the t.v. show Sliders, that was pretty much what was going on in each episode.

Time traveling back to meet yourself as a child is not a problem. Attempt to change history is the problem.
There are three basic views on Time travel.
1. Solid Time: (Mile's version of time travel.) No matter what you do in the past, it is part of that past and will not change anything. I go back in time to kill myself. But something prevents me from doing so. Just like Ben being shot. He was meant to be shot by someone. That someone, until you did it, was unknown.
2. Flexible Time: I can walk up to my younger self and hold a conversation, I may even give him advise. My younger self may take that advise and there by change some aspects of my adult life. It could even change events that I might remember happening but not so much that my life as it was up to the time I traveled back in time was affected. Only small things would change.
3. Rubber Time: (Hurley's version of time travel.) This is where time travel could wipe you out totally if you changed even the slightest event. For instance, going back in time to prehistoric times and stepping on a bug that was suppose to be help a flower grow, which was suppose to be the first tree to provide oxygen, which is what we breath today. But because that bug was crushed and didn't cause a flower to grow, some other gas was created and instead of human's breathing, intelligent dinosaurs walk the Earth.
Did this help?
I was wondering where Daniel had gone to. I also wonder where the rest of the beach camp is!?! Rose and Benard! Where are they!?! They were traveling through time with the rest of them! Where are they!

Ladies and gentlemen, DatingDUMMY has his right to post here. We have the right to ignore his posts. Just pass over them as I do and move on to something else.
With that said, I think this last episode did clear up some things about Ben. It still goes to prove that he IS working for the best interest of the island. He could have kill the French woman, but he didn't. He kept her baby, which explains how he was connected to her and her daughter. It also shows he was telling the truth when he said she wasn't his child, but he did love her as a daughter. You could see it on his face when she was killed in front of him.
No... I think Ben is working to save the island. His plan to kill Locke though got screwed when his daughter's ghost (?) told him, in no uncertain terms, to forget that!
We also get to see more about Smokie. So... it is a being that can be summoned. Sort of like... A D'Jin (or Genie to neophites who don't know what a D'Jin is.) I found it interesting that the images in the temple depict Ra (or is it Set) calling this being up!
Your opinions are always welcome. But be kind to each other.

Sorry you couldn't get to it. I hate that! How does everyone feel about Jack not helping this time round? To me, that goes against the oath he took to become a doctor. I can see what he means, but still, he shouldn't have said no. Like Juliet said... no child deserves to die, no matter how he grows up.

Hey 7Rainbows (a.k.a. Wildgreenwitch LOL,) if you miss a episode, you can go to ABC.com and watch it on the net. They put the shows up a day or two after it airs here in the states. You can watch it and be up to date with the rest of us!

Well now... I think you'd look right good in one of those jump suits Wild. :)
And I do agree with the others here. It is sad that you and all the rest over there are behind by at least a week in shows. But at least you can check in here and see comments on it before you see it.

Yes, I noticed that. But I wasn't sure if it was intentional or if it was just a screw-up on the part of the film editors.
Comments on the previews for next week? I wonder if Smokie was around when the Darma group were there... Hmmm.

"Young Ben being shot... how will this POSSIBLY play out!!??? Could it be a case of (AHEM!) BEN there, done that?"
That is funny stuff right there!
And I agree, Schrutefarms... Ben didn't think Keamy would actually kill his daughter. When it happened, you can see the pain in him as he watched his daughter die. No, I still hold to the idea that Ben is doing things he knows will lead to saving the island. Sometimes, you have to do things that are extreme in order to do what is right.

Holly Crow! Young Ben shot! Can't possibly be dead.... no way! Can't be. Time doesn't change like that. I still think it is all part of why Ben grows up the way he does. I am still pulling for Ben to be the good guy in all this. A screwed up in the head guy, but still the good guy.

LOL... easy girl. Don't make a mess on your t.v. screen! You'll miss all the good stuff. Yes... I think Ben could meet his younger self, but I don't believe the writers will do that. So far, the rules of time travel seem to go like this: Time Is Unbendable. Nothing can change what happens. Everything that happens will happen because it was meant to happen.
