Living at home with your folks

The person that is judgemental and can't understand why someone would choose to alter their life to look after an aging parent is not someone I would choose to spend my life with. Sorry. I have been in this position with both my father and my step father, and now my mother. I have to say, I will never regret taking the time with my parents to help them when they needed it. Once they are gone...you realize just how precious that time really is. And now...with my mom needing my help, I know it's my last chance to listen to her laugh, tell me stories, how to fix or heal something, see her enjoy tea with her sisters. Do all the things that I can't do with my dad or step-dad anymore.
It has definately taken a toll on my life...and my son's, but I value her time, love and energy more than any material possession I could attain or possess. I have given up many things and people who can't comprehend how much it costs to be the child that is
"there" when needed. I can always own another house, business or vehicle...
Meeting someone who doesn't or can't understand this concept doesn't have the character that I am looking for in someone I want to spend my future with.

Hi Monika,

did you ever solve the mystery on how to get your picture onto the profile? I have been trying for a few days and seem to get the same result that you experienced...and my pic is not objectionable, so I don't understand what is happening...thought I would see if you have figured it out...if you can any help would be great...thank you, Shyloh
