most people have deep core moral values. so if you are going to continue on in this relationship it would seem evaluating those on both sides would be beneficial. can you live your life not trusting or being able to trust the person you are with? take a look at it rationally if possible.

there may be other reasons he does not want to meet in a public place. I will not say anymore on that. You sound like a nice person. he could be very well suffereing from these disorders but to be fair to himself and others he should get it taken care of. I would consider..it to be a red flag.

So one day I was over to his place and he said he was getting ready for a date with another girl. I casually ask about "girl A" and he confirms that she is just out of town for a while so if she were in town he would not be going on this date? you are his freind and has he had other dates while girl A is in town? They may have an open relationship or he may be lying through his ahole...whatever it is... IM sure it will come to light soon enough.

Ive had people profess their love over the internet after a few months of talking or phonecalls...I believe to love someone is something you choose and it grows. There is only love and no such thing as this in love or fallen in love.....now this is only my opinion. If I did not have the same feelings I would not pretend to or say I did..that is not fair to anyone.

awww thanks jim for your opinion and even though it does differ slightly from my own. I respect it. You stated it clearly, coherantly without malice and why. Those who stoop to calling women names/belitting for voicing a different opinion then their own show their own true colors. I all to often see women being slammed on here being called every dirty name under the sun for simply voicing their opinion. I think it is disgraceful and a shame. I try to keep things positive and constructive and I have the moxy to stand by my convictions. I will debate and I will give you the reasons why I feel that way. I do not have to resort to measures of name calling. I hope anyone who reads this thread will take a positive and ignore those who feel the need to resort to such low (name calling)measures purely out of a frail ego... Take care.

If for no other reason, pay if you like this person and want them to like you. Be curteous. If a man is not paying on dates, then it isn't a date and it tells the woman the man does not value her (or he is cheap or has other issues). Doesn't matter how educated/liberal/progressive/wealthy they are. I expect the man to pay and if he doesn't, it’s a red flag. Im done discussing this...and women who read this you may disagree or you may agree....but you can be sure of the ones on here who will not treat you like the queen you deserve to be treated as.

I disagree !! Women in the workforce of today are still not paid equally as their male counterparts. Show me the proof and stats of that claim. I believe it is getting there but most CEO.s lets face it are still men. It has absolutely nothing to do with a free ride/taking advantage or princess victim mode as you expressed it. what I am saying. I am not speaking for non-professional women at all. And I am in no way speaking for all strong, professional women. I am speaking for myself and the women who are my friends. Most of whom are strong professional women. We work damn hard and are tough during the day and want to feel special when we are actually not working. Are you a guy? Do you think I finally get it that you are sort of a visual creature? Do you think I am pretty?? Do you like my manicure? My pedicure? My hair?? Do you think about any of the other pre-date maintenance / primping that goes on? Do you want to pay for ANY of it? Because if we are keeping score, and we shouldn't be, I can assure you I have more money invested in this date than you do. So, the next time you think about asking a woman to pay for part of the date, vaction/trip particularly during the date, take a look at her. Did she do any pre-date maintenance/primping?? Does she make you feel special? If the answers might be yes, then quietly pull out your wallet and be happy. Dating should not be about money. Period. For either party. Neither party should be seen as an open checkbook or a closed one. But these are not questions to be presented during a date. Dating should be about feeling special and making sure that it is a mutual kind of special. For me. Any mention of a business transaction will ensure it is the last date. For me. And my friends. I speak for no one else.

True I come from a different place and era but, I was taught and brought up by my peers that a man treats a women with respect and dignity. If he asks you on a vaction/holiday then he pays for it....Now before you all jumped all over me for this you did not include the fact that it was not the OP that asked....in that case...part of the trip should be paid by her if she did the asking... now have some class!

This sounds like a short term fix but has the potential to develop into something unstable over the longer term. You are divorced and usually people get involved in other relationships.
