Op, for one thing you didn't mention "how long" you two have been dating. Do you have genuine feelings/emotions for her or are you just "wanting to score". If you care about her and want to be her, why not be there for her as a friend and see where it goes. She said that she seems to be in a state of confusion. Guess it's up to you to show if you want to stand by her till her life evens up a bit - why not give her time? What do you have to loose? I've been there and sometimes the support of "good" friends makes a very big difference.

Yes it is to a certain degree - a young man in his 20's I would NEVER date - my son is 28, so it just will not happen from my viewpoint. However, just this year I have dated 2 men that were younger than me...First one is 51 and I'm 55 and the second gentleman is 47. When he met me he told me he thought I was about 45 made my day for this grandma...lol So, from my point of view yes, I am complimented to be contacted by younger men. I have been single for many years (one or two relationships thru the years) and up until this year they would be within my same "age" group or older. To each his own...

Dumped! The surprising reasons guys call it quits..? Posted: 5/8/2009 2:26:29 PM
Okay, my two cents worth...I was dating a very nice man that I met locally at a Texas Holdem Tournament/Karaoke (and I did not meet him through POF) back in January of this year. We met, smiled at each other, introduced ourselves and ended up dancing the whole night - and having a wonderful time. Exchanged phone numbers, etc., and he said he'd like to see me again. Okay with me - was not currently dating anyone. All through Jan, Feb. (and we went up north to his cabin for Valentines Day weekend )- he invited me and once again, had a great time! Long story short, he was laid off from his work the beginning of March and he told me he was in a "funky state of mind" which I could understand completely because I too have been laid off and collecting unemployment - first time ever for me - I have always worked. This is now May 8th, saw this gent two times in April and haven't heard from him up to present time. My thoughts, I have been dumped without any warning, signs, etc. My guess is he's seeing someone else. So, I just continue to live my life the best way I know how and believe God that his financial situation will straighten out. Am I heartbroke? No, unfortunately, been thru this before....sad thing is, I was starting to care for him, we never argued and always had a great time together. To my dying day not sure if I'll understand men and how "uncaring" they can be in ending a relationship. If I don't want to see a man, I'll be truthful and tell him. Been holding this inside my heart now for awhile - feels better to get it off my chest and hopefully will help someone here in the big pond.

Nick, Hi - I have lived in Oxford for eleven years - and it's a great city if you ask me! Okay, as for country - Whiskey Steakhouse in Lake Orion but only minutes frm Oxford. Oldies - at Kalloways in the summertime for Classic Car Night on Tuesdays. Rock n Roll, blues, etc., Rob's Place - downtown Oxford on M-24 (Lapeer Rd). There's also karaoke every other Sat. night at the Oxford American Legion, Post 108 and there's one this coming Sat. Even if your not a member, just walk in ask for me (Cheryl) and I'll sign you into the guest book. We have an awesome time and there all great people. There's a few more places that I just can't think of right now..lol. Have a nice evening. cherbaby38

Good morning everyone. Well, hate to say it, but the new job that I loved so much....gone. I built this persons' business up what with all the people, contacts I have in my local area, and a week ago today over the phone, this person told me to find a new job - couldn't afford to pay me...I am in such a financial mess, no income coming in, no family here in MI, just about got to the point where I don't care......not sure what the answer is anymore... ~cherbaby

I'm 53 and will turn 54 in October. Just about a year ago, got the long hair "chopped" very stylish do but no variety to it. Wore it the same way day in, day out. I got tons of compliments on the new cut but I was bored with it. Have not cut my hair (except for the occasional trim) since way back then and happy to say that it's laying on my shoulders, just the way I like it! My current man loves my longer hair and thinks its very feminine and sexy......and even if he didn't like it, don't think I would cut my hair. After all, it's on my head. cherbaby38

I am happy to say that, believe it or not, an ex-boyfriend......will man - he's 57 and I'm 53........we have so much more loyalty, passion, excitement, do what feels good, frm him biting my bottom lip to me doing whatever feels good and right....at that moment. Well, this past weekend was like a whirwind for me...........the wedding reception was beautiful......everyone had a wonderful time - good people, good food, good music and a few good alcoholic beverages.........I danced the night away and have a marvelous time... Plus, I just started working a brand new job this week and I love it..........so much for me to thrive on.. my mind is so focused on work........I'm finding out I'm very good at sales after being a legal secretary most of my adult life..... Okay, seeing how my co-hort in crime, Margie, posted her reply, got to get my 2 cents in too. I truly felt that Soul Provider was one of the best live bands I've heard in quite sometime and that they played a very wide variety of songs for all of us pofers....I was up on that dance floor quite a few times......either fast dancing or slow, and even some of their blues songs......okay, just my 2 cents and as Margie already stated, our hosts, Mo and Beachy do not have control over which band will be playing at our parties. hey everybody - john, margie, rip, michkat....Seems like a new trend that younger men are wanting to go out with older women....at least I've been seeing that first-hand just recently. Last Fri. night, Margie and I were out and about at a couple of my local hangouts and this hot ,fine looking man was flirting with me majorly....I about did a double-take to see if there was a youngin behind me....lol nope, this guy is only 36 and you talk about making this gal feel good about herself - wow.......margie even said I was blushing at one point - she told me your face got so red........lmao......anyways, I have the age perimeter set for men age 49 to 59, but honestly, younger men than 49 have been approaching me alot lately. Don't totally understand why but hey, what the heck, it sure makes for a fun evening of flirting.......not that I would do that much.......he he he ....... ~~cherbaby
