Just found out my boyfriend is married!
Posted: 8/25/2008 11:00:51 AM | Couldn't agree more Fitzer64. I have recently been taken in by a so called "Gent" on here so much so that I, stupidly, lent him money. He told me that he was single - he gave me his address, his mobile number, his home number and I even met him one evening and followed him to his house so that he could leave his van and come in my car. Little did I know the house was his brother's as was the home number. The mobile was all his!!
My friend and I travelled through to his hometown one evening (after 7 days of no contact from him) and did some investigating - seems he was engaged and living with the lady in question (and her young daughter). The business he said he was in the process of building up was not his but hers and the van he promised he would sell to repay me was not his either - yep it was hers!
There is no chance of me ever getting my money back - putting that one down to a very expensive experience - but I got off easy. I have spoken recently to another lady that he was giving the same story too and it seems he took almost £1000 off a neighbour of hers under the pretext of getting cheap drink and cigarettes from Europe and says he got stopped by customs and excise, went to court, was charged and had to pay a £600 fine and do 150 hours community service - all bull by the way.
I notice that he still has a profile on here - though it has slightly changed - I can only hope that no other woman gets taken in by this "silver tongued charmer" - not what i want to call him but not sure what I really want to say would get printed here !!!  | | | |
