thank you so much for posting this poem. i have been in the author's shoes. i can tell you first hand that everything she says is true. i am just glad i escaped the hold Meth had on me. i don't people realize just how powerful this drug is. maybe if people talked about it more...more people would listen.

for me it would not be an issue. if i cared about a man that was bipolar i would just accept it as a part of who he is. i have a friend that used to be a roommate that is bipolar. he had several episodes while living with me. i would just hold him and help him through it. isn't that what friends are for?

a man and woman can be friends without sex being envolved. my best friend, for the past 14 years, is a straight man. he is very attractive. but i could never see myself being intimate with him. we have talked about it several times over the years but always come to the agreement that our friendship is more important. we don't want to mess things up with sex.

[i know this sounds nuts, but it was like he fell in love with something else...his damn condo!!!] did you ever think he had fallen in love with the fact that he wanted it perfect? FOR YOU! most men express their love by providing us(women) with the basic needs in life. i have found that if you pay attention to men and allow them to do these little things for us it only gets better. so the next time a man you are dating decides to buy a home just be patient.

just some advice to suarbush. if that is how you picture yourself then that is how it will probably turn out. you need to be optimistic. do what you can do to make yourself feel beautiful and loved. and someday, when you truely believe it yourself, the man you have dreamed of will waltz into your life.

i come from a long line of cooks. so i ahve been in and around kitchens since i was born. i was 4 years old when i first cooked a meal by myself. i have been unstoppable ever since. i am always eager to learn something new.
