What do you do to your hotdog?
Posted: 4/15/2009 1:47:44 PM
What do I do to my hot dog? I let her splash around in the water, which cools her very well.
Actually, I use mustard and relish. If no relish, just mustard. I like things, plain and simple.

What do you do to your hotdog?

Taken from the following URL address: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A1021834

Nobody is entirely certain where the term hot dog originated. It is said that in 1902 a sport's cartoonist by the name of Tad Dorgan was at a Giants baseball game, desperate for ideas as his deadline approached, when he heard concessionaire Harry M Stevens cry out, 'They're red hot! Get your hot dachshund sausages while they're red hot!' Inspiration struck, and he hastily drew a cartoon of barking dachshund sausages nestled warmly in rolls. However, his spelling was fairly poor, a problem he solved by simply writing 'hot dogs'! Alas, this cartoon has never been found.

Other sources credit Adolf Gehring as the inventor of the term hot dog. According to this legend, Gehring, a food and drink vendor at a St Louis ball game, had run out of ware and was forced to visit a baker to buy bread, as well as the butcher for sausages and wieners. The baker had only long dinner rolls, which the desperate Gehring bought. Having cooked the meat on a portable wood stove, he started making his rounds in the park. One man apparently hollered, 'Give me one of those damn hot dogs', and soon practically everybody else in the crowd were calling out for hot dogs.

Of course, these stories are apocryphal, and we may never know the truth. But does it matter? Somewhere, somehow, someone thought of the name, and thanks to them the hot dog today refers not to a canine in heat, or one that has been stuck on a spit, but a fat, juicy sausage nestled in a bun with mustard, ketchup and sauerkraut, that even the King of England was not too proud to enjoy.

I am 63 and have not lost my sex drive, just have not found the right woman, with whom intimacy is not just a word.

What's one thing you loved/love/miss about your ex?

The only thing that I miss about my ex, I should have divorced her long before her obsession with alcohol, became a big problem.

debate to ensue

Regrets over past mistakes, are a waste of time and energy, which is better used for things we can control. Learning from past mistakes, makes for fewer regrets to which we can do nothing about. Get over, getting back on track.

Why do women date mutiple guys at once?
Posted: 12/25/2008 7:20:09 AM
'IamMcLovinYo', makes extremely valid points, which I totally agree.
Anniversaries should be for those who have been in a committed relationship, for an agreed upon part of time, as a year or so.
A woman who dates several men at a time, should not expect me to be committed to her. If I am dating several woman at a time, I will not depart from my raising, by lying about it.

Dredging up old hurts during arguments
Posted: 11/18/2008 7:01:45 PM
People who argue, are insensitive clods who show insecurity, a lack of self respect and respect for others. Dredging up old stuff that should have already been resolved, is adding insult to injury and should never be done.
My parents used to argue, dredging up old stuff, which made me feel that they should not have been allowed to have children.

The 3 Day Rule
Posted: 7/30/2008 8:15:24 PM
The 3 day rule, is a rule of thumb. Never leave a lady hanging. By the way, never show up empty-handed, for a first date or the 50th date. Treat every date, with the same one, as the first date.
Guys, are you reading right?? Never leave a lady hanging, so forget the 3 day rule and call her the next day.

can having sex be confused with making love?
Posted: 7/30/2008 8:00:27 PM
There should be no confusion, between having sex and making love. Having sex may relieve both of the two's tensions, but it is like eating ice cream through a paper bag, no enjoyment. One can have sex, but it takes two to make love, which lasts long after the loving. Ask yourself, what is more important, quantity of having sex for the short term or quality of making love that lasts long after the flame dies.

how to deal with loving someone that doesnt love you back
Posted: 7/30/2008 7:38:29 PM
Things could be worse, so cut the loss and move on, but remember lessons learned. I've been there and done that. I know how bad it hurts, but the reality is, better to have loved and lost than never having loved.
Let us know how you are doing. Keep faith in yourself and continue going forward, for all the right reason's. When you find the right one, you won't have to ask if she loves you.
