Go get some pell grants go back to school and forget about him!! When he is ready let the courts decide when he is "ready" to see the kids nail his a$$ for chils support and know that this was HIS DECISION!!!!! You will be ok hun I promise!! GL SWEETIE!!!

My son was 1 1/2 when his dad died I had 2 other kids from a prev marriage. My son is now 5 and tells everyone that his dad died he has pic that he carries with him when we see someone who resmbles him he say thats my dad then he said no my dad is dead. Kids remeber more than we give them credit for. My eldest son (his step-child) holds a deep resentment over the whole thing. My husband commited suicide. On thing I have learned from this it to be honest talk to them no matter what age they are. I am deeply sorry for what u have to go through and it saounds stupid and I an sure everyone has told u this but it will get easier with time. I still cry sometimes and my kids know why and they sometimes cry with me. Good luck hun!! Feel free to e-mail me ok if u need a shoulder.

Also let me edit a little when our children are going to "hang out" with friends what makes us think that is what they are doing and not something else. We all need to talk to our kids teach them love them. We are not supervising our kids at all times! Just need to make sure that they can come to us with any ?'s they might have. Be open with them and honest.

who says they are not having "sex" wether it is oral or intercourse. 11 WAYYYY WAYYY WAYYY to young to be dateing!!! Period! I have an 11 yr old and I told no way will he date till he is 16!! DOn't care how much he throws a fit. If your son is dating talk to him now about sex and all that stuff u feel that he is old enought to be doing the "dating" thing then u need to be talking to him about sex. I have a friend who's 10 yr old daugher has sex oral and all the above. Her daughter tells ppl what she does we try to tell her mother but it falls on deaf ears! I am sorry that I rambled but this is so important. Even at a "supervised" dance they cannot watch all the kids all the time!. Just be wary I am sure that you don't want to be a grandma and your 11 yr old son does not need or want to be a dad!

I have to say I do understand this my 4 at the time was 2 1/2 round about that age and was TOTALLY HOOKED ON BOB the Builder Live or anything pertaing to him lol I spent a WHOLE day watching that dang Bob the Builder LIVE OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND................... I was singing the songs in my sleep from that show lol. I have learned to just drown it out. Find your "happy" place. Hang in there guy I promise that you will not lost all of your sanity (at least not yet) Just wait till she starts dating then you will lose it lol. Gl With Dora I understand it well.

I am just like just me I have all the neighborhood kids at my house all the time in fact I have a 10 yr old that will be staying with me for a few weeks because her mom needs the help. He mom is leaving on a vac. and the school told her if her child goes for the 2 1/2 weeks that they will hold her back.(Crap if you ask me) but this child does come from a broken home and right now is at my house 24-7 even when her mom is home. It does take a village to raise a child and we need to infom parents when anything that might be harmful,distructive,or a danger to thier child if they don't care or don't wanna listen inform CPS of this it might just save that child life. If you need to get more involved even though the situation is shakey. All the child might need is the feeling that they are cared about and that someone does care what they do,feel,hate or love. Kids need guidelines, disipline ect BUT MOST OF ALL THE NEED TO FEEL LOVED AND BE LOVED!!!!!!!!!! Lets us know what happend hun. Hope all goes well.

I have the "family bed" My kids have gone through so much over the years that they need to know that I am always there for them. My first husband left them (when they were very young) but it still has an impact my sec husband killed himself! My almost 5 yr old still sleeps with me he is afraid that I am going to leave to. My kids know that I am there always!! I would not have it any other way. Don't let someone tell you how to raise that child. You are the one who has them all the time you kiss the boo boo's away you chase the monsters from under the bed. If they need to be close to you then let them DON'T PUT THEM ON THE FLOOR!! Let them cuddle don't put the fear into them the being close is a "bad thing". That may not be your intinution. But pushing a child on the floor gives them the message that being scared and fearful is not right. I don't care if my son was 13 and has a nightmare and needs me he can come and be close to me. I remeber as a teenager I had really bad nightmares and going into bed with my Mom at 16!! Because they were so bad. It is not a bad thing to let your child do that. If I could I still what to cuddle with my mom when I have a nightmare now!! And I am almost 32!! I want my kids to know that I will do anything for them. I know that I am rambling and I will stop now this is just how I feel.

Here's a recipie for ya Turkey chili with chipole in adobe 1- 1 1/2 ground turkey Lg Oinion 4-6 cloves of garlic (love lots of garlic) Brown all together make sure meat is well cooked Add 4-6 cans of chicken broth if ya want add a can of beer also (Optinal) 4 cans of canned beans (Either Red,Kidney,or pinto) drained 2 cans of diced tomatos 2-4 tbl spoons of tomato paste Cumin to taste chili powder to taste salt&pepper and the chipolet in adobo to taste (spice wise) bring to a boil While boiling make the topper corn meal pancakes with pepper jack cheese. Any corn muffin mix (follow the directions just add a little less liquid) after mixing add shredded pepper jack cheese make pancakes from the batter and cheese mix add to the top of the chili after serving it up in bowls. ENJOY!!!!!! YUMMYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

I told my kids if they EVER made fun of someone or was mean to them they would be grounded for life with no t.v. no ps2 I would take everything from them. I told them when someone calls you a name how does it make you feel they told my it hurts I told them do you want to make someone feel like that sad and crying my kids said no and I told them good. PPl need to help thier kids understand why it is bad to me mean and tell them that they are a better person for not being mean it shows how smart and kind they are!!!!!!!! As far as I know my kids like to hang with the underdogs (another thing I taught them that those are better friends) I always wanted my kids to know to be kind and good. and never ever be mean.

ALIAS the problem with the lord help me bit is that I KNOW that I can change I know that with time and help I can do it there is NOTHING in our live that can't be changed for the better. (in our selves) The Demonds that we battle we can conquer over them it just takes time an accepting the fact that we "cannot" change them we are accepting defeat and I WILL NOT BE DEFETED!!!! I will do what ever it take to beat this and get on with my life. But thank you for the med review that helps.

I have started going to the gym (I go for free because my work gives us free passes) and I love it they have a kiddie pool and I take my 4 yr old in and just play and play with him. My other kids play in the big pool. I thank everyone for all the suggestions as soon as I get my paycheck I will look into all the herbal meds and docs. that they have suggestions.

I home schooled in till just 2 yrs ago my kids are happier to be in school and I wish I would have put them in school from the begining. There is only so much you can teach you children then they just get lost. My kids love school and they hate missing it. They have friends and are happier. If your child is having problems is school such a be bullied picked on and is just misreable try the home schooling it make work for the better for them.

I refuse to take the meds for bi polar I have seen what those type of meds do to ppl my husband was on Nurotin when he killed himself and it scares the S*@t out of me to take thoes meds. I was never dig. with bi polar just manic depression

Terminating a parents rights Posted: 1/31/2006 3:45:55 PM
You should be able to be filing for it then send a certified letter to his last know address put an add in the paper for 30 days to give him a chance to respond the court date will come and if he is a no show usally the judge will rule in you favor. But you might also have to proof that he is an unfit parent to have this happen. When I got my divorce the judge said that he can have NO contact with the kids at all but he made sure that he will pay child support I did not want to termitate the rights but now I wish I had. (This was from my first marrage) I can still go and do it if I want. I just have to go refile with the judge. Talk to your local court house see what the laws are in your state. But you can file for the rights be terminated the courts will decide what to do. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would tell them don't shelter them it may back fire in the end I have always been open with my kids on death sence there step/birth father died (My first 2 were from another marrage the 3rd was his) Let then know don't underestimate kids they are stronger than what you think. I never thought of age as an issue but yes there are some factors that we all need to take in consederation 1. the age can you keep up with small kids. 2. Sex are you up for the game 3. Are you understaning enough 4. Are you will to give your all 5. Are you Possesive/controling 6. Are you stable Mentally/Emotionaly/Financialy Sorry spelling is bad Heck You seem like a great guy I would give you a chance. It not that we are fussy but some of us are ready fore the real thing to be with someone forever and we need to make sure that you or who ever we date will be the "real" thing So don't get yourself down you will find her.

Well sleep what is that? Never get much of that to much goes on in my life to get that work kids pets appt. ect but I have made plans for my b-day I am going to get a motel room and spend the night with myself no one else go out with some friends then go to the motel take a nice ling bath or get in the jacuzzie and just releax for the night really sleep if I can. That will be in a few weeks. Bad kitty: Thank you for that info I will check into that. Yes I have seen doctors and mind doctors but it really does not seem to help. But I do try on a daliy basis to fix these problems.

Overit they have put me on several of the depression meds and they all made me sleep all the time and made the depression worse. I even tried the herbal remidies and they sucked also. But meds do work for some ppl but so far none have worked for me.

How does everyone else deal with depression? Do you write,sing, Play with the kids and does anyone have a suggestion to keep out of that funk that depression puts you in. I have tried herb, meds you name it. I just can't seem to get out of this funk.and I hate it due to the fact that I really love life and doing thing with the kids but I just have no energy anymore. I love my kids and love having them around and being a Mom but dang. Hope I can get some good sugestions.

My husband commited suicide. My 4 yr old walks around the house saying my daddy died hun mom I tell him yes sweetie he did. He died almost 4 yrs ago and my son will be 5 in 2 months he did it shortly after his 1st b-day. Not to long ago he cried and cried wanting me to go get his daddy that he wanted to see his daddy. I tried my hardest not to cry in front of him and tried to explaine that daddy can't come back. It is a very hard thing to go through but we are making it I also have 2 other children (noy by him) from a prev. marriage. He was the only "father" they have ever known. So it was hard on them to my daughter askes why he didn't love us why did he leave us. My son just hates the world and shows it to. I hope that this post sheds some light for you.
