i would definitely not have a child to please someone. Totally the wrong reason to have kids IMO!

thanks for the replies everyone... I actually find it interesting that I still get many replies from men who have profiles that say "yes" to wanting children. Haven't really figured that one out just yet. I guess some people just don't pay too much attention to that part of the profile?

Honestly... I have never sat and thought to myself... wow, I'm gonna want a kid one day, I hope to be a mom one day, etc... always the opposite. Quite frankly the thought of ever having a kid scares the crap out of me, and the expense and responsibility that goes along with it are something that I don't know if I will ever have the desire to deal with. However I think the reason I say that a right person COULD change my mind is because if I was ever in the position that money wasn't an issue ( highly unlikely LOL) and I was with someone who shared the same views on parenting and I thought would make and excellent parent...then who knows... something inside me might change. Like I said before, I could never say never... however they are not even remotely on my agenda, and may never be.

I guess the open/undecided option is probably best, simply because nothing in my case is set in stone... I've just had bf's now that I would definitely never have children with, and so when they see my profile and it says "open" they say it's misleading because I wasn't "open" in their case LOL

I really like the fact that the profiles on here ask the all important question about whether or not someone wants children, however for those of us who do not have kids on our agenda, it can really put a damper on how many people will contact us. Which in the long run, weeds out an potential problems, however I think some of us who don't really want any children, MAY change our minds if we met the right person, but don't want to give anyone false hope or the idea that it will happen so we are honest on our profile about not wanting any. I tried putting "prefer not to say".. but I find that makes people assume that you DO want them, not the other way around. And the open/undecided option could also work, however it still might give someone who REALLY wants children, false hope. And since it seems the huge majority of people on this site want them... or already have them ( if I don't want my own kids, probably won't want yours either LOL), it narrows this dating pool considerably.

Anyone else here finding this frustrating?

I would like to think I did a decent job on my profile, a good friend of mine says probably the only problem I have is the fact that I don't want kids! LOL... he's probably right, but would love any suggestions, anything I could add, or should remove that might help me out here, would love to know!

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE, STORY OR POEM?

"Anything less than mad, passionate, extraordinary love is a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life, and love should not be one of them."

"Relationships, of all kinds, are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you squeeze to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold on to some of it, but most of it will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship is lost. "Kaleel Jamison

moments of horror and hilarity

I hear it all the time from my buddies who use this site....women who claim to be "average" body type and end up being massively overweight! Do you honestly think that someone is going to forgive the fact that you lied on your profile and magically fall for you once they meet you? I have found guys to be a bit more honest about body type than apparently most women are..

thanks everyone! I tried to do an advanced search.. but so far have come up with nothing! Someone else suggested putting something about him in my profile in case he saw it and knew I was looking for him, looks like that might be my next plan of action.

He was a sweet guy, even if he wasn't interested ( although he was being fairly flirty) I still feel bad about the shorts.

I have been back to the pub a few times but he wasn't around, will be there again soon, maybe one day I will run into him again! If I do I'll let you guys know!

go ahead and delete if it's not "appropriate"

Hey everyone,

Was hoping to get some help finding a guy I met in person, who said he was on POF.

Let me set the scene...

A few weeks back I went to the Roadhouse pub in Duncan for their "Country Night". They had a mechanical bull there and there was a guy who was hanging out there riding the bull with his buddies. I was there with some friends and we all wanted to ride the bull as well, but I happened to be wearing a dress. So said guy lends me a pair of his shorts! Awesome. He mentions that he saw me on POF and said what his user name was but I didn't really catch it. Thought it would be easy enough to find him later. Well... not only did I manage to accidentally rip on of the strings off his shorts, but after riding the bull, I went inside for a drink, went back out to talk to him and apologize about the shorts but he was gone!

Figured I could find him later on, he probably thinks I'm a mega B*tch for wrecking them and not saying anything. But I can't find him on here. Maybe he's not here anymore... but I figure I'd post anyways and see if I could find him. Maybe his friends who were with him are here? Or someone might know who I was talking about? Duncan/the island tends to be a small place LOL.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks guys
