How long should good sex last?
Posted:

In my younger days, with a certain woman, our sex was only limited by the need for sleep.
Nowadays, well, things are different. A bit slower, and less predictable.

Maybe It's A Smoking/Distance, Etc. Thing
Posted:

Smoking is a deal-breaker for me.
I smoked for 30+ years, and was finally diagnosed with Emphysema. Fortunately it wasn't overly advanced, and I can pretty much function normally. I don't want to get worse.
And you know what, I never really could stand kissing a woman smoker... It's like kissing an ashtray.
My ex-wife refused to quit smoking when I did. That lack of concern for my health was one of the factors that told me a divorce was a good idea.
I will not contemplate a relationship with a smoking woman.

Middle aged weight loss spokesperson drop-out OR what happened to Kirstie?
Posted:

I do believe Kirstie lost the weight she wanted. They had already planned to have Valerie take over. That's why they introduced her.
Now they have yet another woman, Queen Latifa.

balls tight or loose...what does it mean?
Posted:

Body temperature isn't the only thing that affects the rising or lowering of the balls.
If a man is in danger, or ready to fight, chances are the balls will retreat far into the body. It's a means of protection.
It used to happen to me a lot when I got incredibly angry. Fortunately I've been able to calm myself down a lot.

For the Ladies: Does size really Matters?

I have to wonder about any man who uses a nickname like "bigdick..."
Hopefully women will be turned off.

Calling all 40-60Something Males?

I'm 58, and prefer to be around women my age, or close to it.
We have more in common.

Whats the silliest thing you fought over when you split?
Posted:

Our divorce was very positive. When we knew it was coming, we sat down and easily agreed about what items of value each of us would keep.
My ex had bought her house before we married, and I agreed she should keep it. We easily sorted out who would get to keep the electronics goodies we'd bought during our marriage.
My ex-wife helped support me through some rough times during our separation and after our divorce.
I was always sure to tell her how much I appreciated her help, and bought her a new computer system when I finally got some money.
We don't see each other any more, but would surely be "friendly" if we did.

battling mid life bulge!

I think there is a difference between someone with "middle-aged spread," and someone who just doesn't take good care of themselves.
It's normal to sag a bit, whatever, when you're older...
Unfortunately I'm one of those who needs to get out and exercise more, for my all-around health, including concerns about Type 2 Diabetes.
Now that Spring is here, I'll find it easier to get out and exercise. Who knows, maybe I'll run into a good-looking middle-aged woman?!

Guys: at what age did you give up on the grey
Posted:
4/5/2008 6:37:21 PM
I don't have any grey in my hair. I'm going bald in the back, and don't worry about it.
I have some grey in the beard, and don't really mind it at all. It makes me look distinguished.

Could I fall in love again at 56? Do I want to?
Posted:
4/5/2008 6:34:35 PM
I'm 58. I got married for the first time, at age 49... divorced a couple years ago.
I believe that my age was a big plus. I was more mature, and a better partner. We just didn't make a good couple. Yes, I was hurt a bit when we decided to divorce. But at least we vowed to "remain friendly."
I know I can fall in love again. I won't be in a hurry to marry. And I'll be all the wiser for my experience.

To go grey or not?

I see nothing wrong with letting age take its course. Why cover your true hair color?
I haven't gone grey yet, except on my beard. I do have "male pattern baldness," and wouldn't dream of covering it. I will wear a hat to protect myself from the sun.

When we meet
Posted:
4/5/2008 5:36:12 PM
I start looking at a woman before the first meeting.
One of first requirements is a sign that the woman knows how to spell, and uses "proper English," including punctuation. I just can't imagine reading countless messages full of bad spelling and grammar.
When I meet a woman, I will be looking to see if her picture resembles the one she posted in her profile. I can't stand people who post pictures from their youth, etc. You don't need to be a beauty queen. Just be honest.
I love an intelligent woman who can carry on a good conversation. I love it when we can relate to each other, and our beliefs are similar. I don't need a female version of myself. A woman has to have her own mind.
We really need to be able to relate to each other. If we're already arguing on the first date, it's time to politely depart.

Come In For Coffee/Drink?
Posted:
4/5/2008 5:30:00 PM
I sometimes have such difficulty with conversation and clues while dating. It would be great if both the man and woman are honest and say what they mean.
If I were invited over for coffee, I would take the woman literally. I would ask if she had something without caffeine.
I would do my best to enjoy a nice conversation, and perhaps give her a shy kiss before I left.
We'd save the rest for a future date, if it feels right for both of us.
