Down Low.....
Posted:
11/24/2009 9:20:12 AM
Down low will always have a place in the celebratory sense. Running out onto the football field is mandatory down lows. Behind the back down lows are the appropriate congratulatory response for your partner who just sank the eight ball. Even bikers give a two-finger-peace-sign-down low when they drive by eachother. Down low will never be neglected like the high five.
Being too slow when down low...well that's another forum.

I appreciate the High 5.....
Posted:

That's good because the high five is so underappreciated nowadays. It was left behind in favor of the fist bump (later known as a terrorist fist bump), or the chest bump, or elbow bump, or the head bump (this option relies on the amount of alcohol consumed), or the hip bump (preferred by the ladies over the head bump). All that bumping left the high five behind, and it's nice to know some people still appreciate it. High five

Would you serve on the jury?
Posted:

I believe the trials will be a mistake. These guys are enemy combatannts who weren't given their miranda rights. Quite the opposite when torture is involved. KSM was forced to talk, which is what miranda rights protect against. Their defense lawyers, which will be very well paid, will beat the fact that their client(s) were tortured over the head until the cases are dismissed. This is why tribunals are the better route. Enemy combatants aren't given the same rights as we are when it comes to how evidence is obtained.
The theatrics of these trials will be unprecedented. We'll have the liberal media poised and ready to pounce the second the interrogation methods are divulged. We're going to end up with our previous administration on trial at the same time we're trying to convict the only people left to convict responsible for 9-11. That will be such a distraction from trying to get a conviction.
I highly doubt any of us are going to be able to follow this trial the way we think we will. There should be a super tight gag order placed on these trials. We don't need to empower the enemy we currently have our troops fighting.

Golf, while your at it, why don't you bash the firefiighters, police officers and nurses? They're all union members too. Being a little PC where that's concerned huh?
They, along with all the other union members, all have those "cadillac heathcare plans" who likely will be very instrumental in paying for healthcare reform. Yeah, looks like those damn liberals might have to pay for their own reform.Union members won't opt for the government's healthcare plan. You shouldn't bring them into this debate, because they will only help to pay for this and not milk it.

The 2009 NFL Season

Next year there will be no salary cap, and guess what two superstar's contracts are up...Peyton Manning and Brady. The bar is set at 16.7 million a year right now with Julius Peppers. I think we'll see the 20 million dollar mark broken next year with both QBs signing almost equally lucrative contracts. I'm sure one is going to have to do with the other, so that each of them feel really warm and fuzzy about their standing in the ranks of NFL players.

The bill includes tax increases on insurance companies, medical device makers, patients electing to undergo cosmetic surgery and drugmakers. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091121/ap_on_go_co/us_health_care_overhaul
The bill controls patients by way of taxation.
You should be more clear, and not allude to all patients. People getting a nose job or a smoother butt, barely qualify as patients. Perhaps a patient of a psychologist. No one forces people to get elective cosmetic surgery. Just as no one forces us to drive, but you are forced to have insurance if you drive.

A cute subject line is important. "Hey you" or "You make my thingy swell" isn't going to work. "Psst, you've got mail" or "I like baking too" are more interesting. I used to introduce myself as someone who has a lot in common with their "interests" listed in their profile and can relate to what is stated in the body of their profile. It seems manipulative, but I usually got responses from every woman I'd email.
I'm not serious anymore when I email. I'll use "Drive-by compliment" or "In case you need a gratuitous compliment" as a subject line. I tell them I'm seeing someone, so no need to respond. But, a compliment never hurt anyone to hear, errr read. I don't know if they appreciate my emails, but I don't really care I guess.

Women are the more emotional of the species It's more common for them to over react or show a lot of emotion. I beleive the name drama queen is reserved for those who are threatrical in all their behavior, hence the use of the word drama. I really don't think being gossipy defines a drama queen. The term doesn't only apply to women; my brother is a drama king.

Onsides kick
Posted:
11/22/2009 7:30:40 PM
The ball doesn't have to hit the ground prior to the ten yards for the kicking team to recover. Kickers kick the top of the ball to give it a radical spin, and to slow the play down. If the kicker were to just kick the ball ten yards in the air, the kicking team wouldn't have as good of a chance to get to the ten yard mark. The only rule is for the ball to travel ten yards.
I'd like to see a kicker shoot one at a "receiver" to see if he would actually try to catch it. Likely it would bounce off of him.

I agree with you Jack. We need to do something about air polution. Just anytime it comes up suddenly the lobbiests run to congress, and tells them not to do anything. It seems as though companies have more right to the air than the citizens. I used LA as an example, but there is pollution everywhere. Sacramento has it's own smog layer, and they get a lot of rain. It's raining right now as a matter of fact. What smog is getting pushed out of the air will be replaced shortly. Look I'm not saying we need to stop shipping, manufacturing, or traveling. I'm not going to stick my head in the sand either, and pretend a problem doesn't exist.

If you're so sure the air is cleaner now, then why do we have more bad air days now? You can keep your head buried in the sand, or stick your fingers in your ears, and scream like alittle baby all you want. The air is not getting cleaner. The proof is right in front of you if you go to LA. Look at all the smog. Are you that dense that you can't see the air isn't clean? Damn, you'll allow your political views to make you seem like a Retard. "Smog is clean air." That's how you sound when you say something so idiotic as the air is cleaner now than it was when you were a kid. Were you alive when there was a high amount of butane in the atmosphere or what?

Yeah Golf, you should have been around for the Prop 8 debate in this forum. We had one person who thought gay marriage would crumble her church and was a violation of her freedom of religion. It was pretty interesting the way she over reacted like someone else around here.
I wasn't using religion as a hammer. I was simply outlining the hypocrisy of those who claim to "follow" Christ, and then turn their backs on the poor. They seem to only want certain aspects of their Lord, and not the one's that affect their pocketbook.
Gogetter,
I believe the idea behind "love thy neighbor" stretches beyond your neighbors house.

Critique the book cover.
The Retard's view is that we can pollute the atmosphere as much as we want and never bare no consequences. Where do they think bad air days come from? I live in the mountains and never had a bad air day here. But, when I get into the city, suddenly I hear that asthmatics and old folks with respiratory problems should stay indoors because the air isn't completely safe to breathe. I wonder what those Retrds think causes that. Good air in the mountains...bad air in the cities. Hmmmmm Oh, I forgot, Retards are the party of do nothing. No wonder they won't get the White House in 2012.

Newt "the hypocirite" Gingrich is just jealous he couldn't get his adulterous azz into the White House. Ole king of the mudsling will never accomplish what Obama has. Poor Newt can only look in from the outside and throw mud. Awe. Poor baby didn't become President like Obama did.

Gogetter,
I could have sworn "love thy neighbor" was one of the Christian values. Apparently "turn your back on them when they are sick and helpless" is how the folks in this fourm interpret loving thy neighbor. The people who support this bill are far more moral and virtuous in the eyes of Christ than those who are against it. Just don't be hypocritical in the other thread about how you folks are true Christians when in fact you can care less about your fellow man.
<div class='quote'>This bill will put heavy burdens on small businesses
I love this arguement. Small businesses can't afford to offer health insurance to their employees as it is today. Small businesses won't have to pay for the public option. Their employees will. Where do you get the idea this will hurt small businesses? Apparently, you just know the Glen Beck talking points without using your thinking cap.

China is persuing their enregy needs through Africa as well.
Russia is working with us by wanting Iran to send their nuclear enrichment desires to Russia. Russia can profit off of this. We can monitor Iran's enrichment plans if they cooperatate with Russia.
Russia gave those fockers their uranium, and we're supposed to trust Russia. Fock both of them. I want Condi back to handle this situation.
That's not going to happen. So hopefully Israel is willing to do some housekeeping. They won't attack without our approval, but I hope I'm wrong. The sooner they attack, the better. They are a sitting duck for Iran to hit with their future nuke. They shoould not wait for the US to allow them to attack. The US can easily sit back and act like we have nothing to do with it. Though, we would know the truth along with the rest of the world. Fock Iran.

I question the Christian values of those who are unwilling to help the poor. I thought that's what you folks were about. Guess not. Guess your politics are stronger than your beliefs. Not surprised I guess. Your pocketbook is more important than your virtues and morality. Sorry bible thumpers who partake in this thread, but your true colors have shined through. You should work on being more faithful to Christ's teachings. I'm not even religious, and I care more for the poor than you do. Guess I have Christ's virtues moreso than some of you folks. Just because you say you believe doesn't mean you have humility. Christ was all about the poor, some of you can care less about Christ's teachings, yet you think you do. The selfishness diplayed in this thread is almost sinful.

However, the Supreme Court ruled in 1896 that aliens are entitled to legal protections under the Fourteenth Amendment in Wong Wing v. U.S. The ruling was expanded in 1950 under Johnson v. Eisentrager and then further extended to provide free schooling for illegal immigrants in Texas in 1982 under Player v. Doe. Eventually, illegals will be given health care coverage. So if we are covering 30 to 40 million people not insured now, how much should this cost?
Well, this bill doesn't provide for those illeagal aliens. Try again to copy and paste something persuassive. Old laws won't trump new laws.
Beats defending folks who are using stimulus money in non-existent districts.
Nice deflection. And, here I thought you would make for an admirable debate.

The non-worker sect includes a lot of our wounded military, mentally retarded and handicapped. They aren't all lazy asses. The government plans to scale back the rising costs of healthcare. Without regulation, these companies are growing out of control, and we are seeing our premiums rise as they become more greedy. Remeber who you are defending here. You're defending the folks who are spending hundreds of millions of dollars on lobbiest to persuade you they need to control your healthcare.Wait until you're denied healthcare for a problem (hopefully I'm wrong) you may incur in the future. The current healthcare system is not worthy of anyone's defense. To say reform isn't necessary validates the current system.

Seriously hon. We are and will always be a representative democracy who embraces capitalism. We are simply allowing healthcare for all. Healthcare is already costing America a bundle, and leaving it unchecked will only cost us more n the future. I don't mind the government reeling in the rising pharmaceutical costs that continue to plague our senior citizens.

Scooch's are black, he can't dodge very well.
Hmm. You originally said your eyes are black because you forgot to duck. I thought that was pretty funny.
Oh, were we being funny?
Scooch's are black, he can't dodge very well.
Dodgeball wasn't my sport. No one wanted to play with me.

The tax code applies to us all. Unfortunately we don't get to allocate where our tax money goes. That's why this is a Republic. (a representative democracy if you will) We elect people to Congress for matters such as these. You can thank the Bush Administration for doing such a bad job, the Democrats took over. Obama clearly stated what his plans were with reforming healthcare and he got democratically elected by the majority of Americans using healthcare as a foundation of his campaign. Republicans may not like it, but democracy is in effect in matters concerning healthcare.

you can sit at our feet while we paraphrase the chapter for you.
Cute. I bet you don't paraphrase that post. She doesn't even know what she posted as she didn't offer any original thought to her cut and paste job. Anyone can cut and paste.
