Nope we dont mind gifts, but if you want my honest opinion your guy sounds like a real drama queen. If you want to help him along then give him the gift of a counsellor/psychiatrist so he can vent all his past problems/issues and get a fresh start rather then limp thru life scared of commitment

When to tell the guy
Posted:
8/13/2009 3:10:12 PM
Its not so much a big deal as it is a starting benchmark that you will compare the next partner you have sex with and some guys cant handle that pressure or responsibility.
Obviously the guy would like to know what your preferences/feelings on the subject are and the sooner you tell him the easier it is to weed out the undesireables who are in it just to get laid. Obviously not something I'd go blurting on the first meet tho I'd say maybe a few dates in when the subject comes up that way no one is super attached to each other.

Spitting on the Street
Posted:
9/16/2008 9:56:24 PM
cant say im a crack dealer, but i do spit in public and mainly its because i get a tickle in my throat from having an overactive saliva gland. I will use a garbage can if its close but most times i dont think twice about spitting it into a street or a parking lot ( not a sidewalk or curb corner). Quite simply i dont see the big deal if its in the middle of a street as its no less disturbing then half the things that happen on the sidewalk that dont involve spitting. At least my mess dries up or washes away easily with no harm to the environment or persons in the area

this happens with EVERY guy i meet? WHY?! or is it just me?
Posted:
6/2/2008 8:08:32 PM
guess it depends on if your dating men your age. If you are best way i could describe it is the fear of getting trapped and being stuck with just one person young guys are antsy and not likely to settle down easily. Sure some guys do but for the vast majority its like having a death sentence placed on them. The live for the thrill of the chase and the capture and once thats done with they generally become lazy and bored and thus need to move along and find another chase.
My suggestion is maybe go a lil older with your search if your looking for maturity and possibly a longer lasting relationship.

Depression, failed relationships and suicide?
Posted:
6/2/2008 5:29:28 PM
I think when your that shocked to the core your thinking can become very scrambled and things like this in a few cases can happen. I know a lot of people who get horribly depressed when someone breaks up with them i know i had a very depressive breakup once as well.
I know i wouldnt go out on some murdering rampage because of it but sometimes when you're that distraught you just get wires crossed and react with instinct and primal emotions rather then simple logic.

Weirdest Place you have ever had sex (and did you get caught)
Posted:
5/25/2008 11:11:27 PM
You know whats even worse then that? All the crap people bring in with them and i dont mean just the skin oils and other junk i mean crap. Every human being who steps into that pool child or adult usually does so without a shower and thus brings fecal matter into the pool. Reason that a lot of people dont get sick from it is the fact that most every public pool i know of and from what i remember of the health code is required to have chemical automation so that means the chlorine and acid are automatically mixed into the water as it flows thru the pvc lines in the pump room. That coupled with manual testing means that there is no danger from any organics put into the pool as long as chlorine levels and ph levels are kept where they should be.
Not to mention the huge sand filters that filter crap out of there. So dont worry about the kids they are just as safe as they were before they stepped into the pool.
P.S. it was at night so the whole pool would have circulated once before the kids even stepped foot into it thus no trace left behind.
Curious addition here you have a problem with kids getting into a clean pool which it would be after. Yet you think nothing of desecrating a place of the dead(graveyard) or sacred ground of a church (kids play on the lawn at last glance :P) ? Pot calling the kettle black it would seem

not common at all since the only time they leave my pocket is to go into the ignition or on the counter at my own residence and anyone stupid enough to reach for them is getting some bruised knuckles. Simply put stop putting yourself into that kind of stupid situation because it seems you keep leaving yourself open to this tactic and havent seemed to learn from it over three times now.

Man drags pit bull to death -- after it killed his chihuahua
Posted:
12/26/2007 8:14:53 PM
In the pitbulls defence im currently babysitting one for almost a year now and have met more then 20 of them in my lifetime either at the spca or on the end of the leash none of which i would consider a lethal animal. True a lot of them are trained as an attack breed as are many other dogs for example german sheperds, rottis and the list goes on.
The only time ive notice Tyra the female pitbull im babysitting get overly aggressive with other dogs is when it comes down to a dominance issue. For example a fight over a toy or simply trying to be king turd of the island. None of which went beyond a few nips at each other and a few loud barks. Pitbulls generally have a higher pain tolerance and more muscle pound for pound then on a comparable sized dog. Theres nothing wrong with the breed nor have i ever seen any just snap and attack for no reason their is always a reason be it big or small and anyone who says there isnt is quite honestly smoking some substance.
I've personally watched her play with kids from a minor distance with no ill effects, and the only attacks on a human shes ever done has been to jump up and lick them in the eye. They are a very demmanding breed and require tons of stimulation and play time as they are like lil energizer bunnies on speed lol. If you let any dog sit alone or not keep them involved things can go seriously wrong in the long run. Like any dog if they are surprised they will react accordingly and if pushed by circumstances beyond their control they will defend themselves like any animal would for its survival.
Quite simply they are no worse a breed of dog then any other out there and are just as liable to attack as the rotti or german sheperd or any number of other dogs. As for the one dumbass on here who could somehow justify dragging any animal behind a truck because it killed another is very much out to lunch. I've had a newfie we babysat a long time ago eat one of our cats i was sad and obviously pissed off but did I or my family drag this animal to its death? Hell no its sheer stupidity the man in the story and the twit who suggested it was jsutified should never be allowed to own another animal as far as im concerned as they have shown they cannot deal with all the issues that can be involved with owning one.
To end this I personally love the breed and properly trained and monitored they can be the best dog you can hope to have with kids or other dogs when it comes right down to it it's all about the owners and their level of training or competence with the dog in question. I think there should be some kind of competency test for any owner to take before they can even think of getting a dog or any animal so no animal has to suffer the ill intentions of the misguided, the negligent or the abusive owners of the world.

workaholics may be suffering from a lack of sex
Posted:

I avg 50-70 hrs a week so sure i guess workaholic fits. But ive always made time to get laid its nto hard to fit in just have to have a understanding partner that can accomodate your work time.
Not much as a society that you can do to fix it, things still need to get done and sometimes qualified personnel to handle the workload are just not available. Plus the personnel you can get in calgary these days are usually incompetent and wanting more money then they are even remotely worth due to the boom.

use bakers potatoes or older potatoes as they cook better for home made french fries. Make sure your oil is not over used as well since this can cause problems cooking and will cause soggy chips.

ive had a deep sliver once before in my palm there is always infection due to the pieces of wood breaking off inside the wound when its pulled out. Hot compresses are a good idea also a nice warm bath with bathing salts wouldnt hurt and will help with infection.
If it does become inflamed or tender id suggest giving it a gentle squeeze and bleeding the pus out of it then douse in hydrogen peroxide or iodine. It will sting but it will help.
Usually after a few weeks unless its a bad one you should be free and clear.

Who cheats more, men or women?

its a question that cant be answered other then some of both sexes cheat on each other and some of both sexes dont cheat on each other. There is no really right answer and youll never find a definitive one. Its simply stirring the pot so people can give their opinion stir up a discussion and conclude absolutely nothing

actually there are speed limit signs on most of the trails believe it or not. The only reason i think they are getting tough si due to the number of accidents involving speeding bikers and pedestrians on the trails especially children. I can see their point but personally pedestrians should stay off the bike trails and go on the walk paths where available or at least stay to one side of the path. To many walkers seem to walk crowding the path in some cases completely and its been many a time ive had to either take the grass or yell at them to move when they wont even move for the bell.

Pedestrians , are they too cocky?
Posted:
5/29/2007 9:17:41 PM
first off pedestrians always have the right of way even if they are jaywalking. They could be at fault but if u hit them with the car its your ass thats gonna get broiled for it.
But i totally agree pedestrians have gotten way to thickheaded I even see these moron teenagers trying to cross glenmore during rush hour for christ sakes and with a perfectly good bridge no more then a 100 ft from them. Hell they even have had kids trying to dodge traffic on deerfoot to get to the other side.
I know ive had my fair share of close calls of almost hitting pedestrians who just werent watching or literally came out of nowhere. Fortunately no one has been hurt as of yet. Simple fact of the matter is its simple to stop walking or running its slightly harder to bring 2000 lbs or more of vehicle to a halt on a dime.
i personally think they should get tougher on the jaywalking law and give it to the parking enforcement /bylaw officers to enforce. Maybe when these dumbasses start getting 200 buck tickets everyday they'll think twice.
As for stopping at pedestrian crosswalks i have no problem doing so unless they pick the last second to cross in which case sorry but i cant stop. The worst is when people hang out at the damn pedestrian corners talking and you slow down only to find out they arent even crossing its annoying to say the least.

Elderly Licence Revoked
Posted:
5/2/2007 7:18:24 AM
The problem is that its not just old people causing accidents and killing people altho its more convienient to blame them more in the end or put such a stigma on them.
I personally think everyone should be retested in one lump over a 5 yr period (especially in alberta) and weed out all these bad drivers that have had their licenses for to long including old people. I also think those who dont have a drivers license due to loss thru testing or vehicular crimes should not be able to buy a motor vehicle under their name at all and anyone assisting them to acquire one should be charged for such an offence.
Simply put we need to get tougher on bad drivers.

similar in some respects chukar only it uses earth as its setting. Basically it takes all the geographical information from legends (example atlantis) and from current fact ( example calgary) The books are seperated into the typical nations like US , Canada, China etc.
Think of it as star wars minus the space vehicles. Instead of space visitors everyone thats not a human arrived via dimensional rifts caused by a vast nuclear war. It has a much better and cleaner combat and skill system then old D&D.
Any other questions feel free to ask and thank you for the replies so far they are much appreciated.
Note to all of those who are looking (355 at last count) but dont think they could play due to lack of experience feel free to email me the game is not complicated and can be easily followed. Who knows those of you who avoided the stigma of being the rpg geek might enjoy the story and gameply told now :P

Tabletop - a paper oriented imagination game where no real physical movement is needed similiar to a monopoly like stance. Example five guys sit at a desk one guy reads the adventure and gives u the scenario and you five figure out what each of your characters would do to respond to said scenario.
Rifts - A fantasy world based in the far future where the earth has basically been devastated by nuclear war and opened a slew of dimensional portals allowing other beings nicknamed D-Bees (dimensional beings) to enter the world either on purpose or by sheer accident and awakening real magic (ley lines, druids , etc) around the world . This makes humans no longer the dominant animal on the planet.
Campaign - A long running game that can span a few months to a year to complete
Sentry Box - a store specializing in rpg games and fantasy game playing supplies in calgary.
Last sentence relates to the lazy eyed psychos or way to serious gamers ive met in my time that go above and beyond making the game their lil life inside their life and thus losing touch with reality.
Hope that answers your questions my dear
P.S. Not looking for online game i prefer to meet people face to face its much more fun plus u can gauge their sanity a lil better and see if they will work well in game setting.

Why do guys want to wear facial hair?
Posted:
4/15/2007 10:09:09 PM
In the summer i usually shave it off due to the heat and in the winter i let it grow more lazily then i usually would simply to keep the chill off. Asking a guy who might work outside in his job to shave his beard is kinda cruel as a lot of us dread wearing scarves and thus use a beard to keep ourselves warm.
Would i shave it off if asked? In the summer sure but come winter best youd get is a trim if that didnt work oh well sae la vie.

just curious if anyone knows of a decent Tabletop Rifts campaign in the city of calgary. Ive looked at the billboard in sentry box and never came across one yet. Just have a hankering to get a group together and sit down to a good game.
I only ask that their is no wonky shit or power mad GM's also some decent normal people guys and or gals who wont go ballistic when they lose or they dont get what they want.
If anyone knows of one feel free to email me or respond in this thread.
Thank you in advance

as long as your not making excessive noise levels at later or early times in the day then he has no reason to bother you simply tell him off and let him know the next time he shows up the cops are coming to talk to him about harassment. That should shut him up for at least a good month.

right now im reading fantasy horror on vampires, but if you want a good book that has comedy and a unique twist try "Villains by Necessity" by author Eve Forward. I definitely couldnt put it down and have read it easily ten times. Another great book was the neil gaiman books of neverwhere, american gods and anansi boys. All great reads

uhm as stated before they dont live by eating brains they dont need nourishment :P they are dead. They do it because feeding is a primal instinct and one of the few that seem to operate on the educationally intellectually limited undead.
