uhhhhhhhhh...the smell thing...pharamones are released in our brains according to smells.
An aroma which gives us pleasure releases nopamine in our brain, triggering the pleasure senses, where as a stench like body odor just turns our stomachs and makes us want to run.
So there's the scientific on the smellies

they may SAY we can't have alcohol...but if we BEHAVE and don't act like fools we can have our drinks-----put in regular glasses or mix em up in your soda cans! I've been to many state parks and drank all day, the trick was not making myself obvious and behaving myself! so who's bringing the bourbon besides me??

Thanks to the democrats taking control of Congress since 2006, energy prices have skyrocketed due to their FAILED energy policies:
1. Ban lightbulbs???? but support CFC's that contain Mercury......who would of thunk it?
2. No new drilling in USA for the last 30 years, maybe if we drilled here, we would not be DEPENDENT on Foreign Oil.
3. No new Refineries in last 30 years. Not only do we not drill for our own oil, but we have to Export 13% of it to get enough gasoline.....who would have thunk it?
4. Subsidize Ethanol using Corn??? Who thunk this up. Use Corn for Fuel and what do you eat?? Tree bark?
5 . The list is endless, vote the incumbants out, they are worthless and are destroying the world as we know it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~So, regardless of democrat or republican
if OUR GOVT is in fault of our state of the world WHY ARE WE HERE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT AND NOT TRYING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
it's past time to take our country back!
I'm sorry Gunsmith,but I think a man who has to carry a firearm isn't a man at all.
Americans pay an awful price(children accidentally killed every year) for their constitutional right. That part of the constitution is badly out of date in this day and age,and should be immediately changed. Like many things in this world,the fact that someone wants to carry a gun should immediately disqualify them from having one.
GUN SAFETY is NEGLECTED TO BE TAUGHT! If gun safety was brought into our schools from preschool to 12th our youth would not be accidentlly killed-----
lack of education is killing our children!
When guns are part of the household it's also up to the PARENTS to teach gun safety-----hands off is an excellent first lesson........second lesson------if you find a gun TELL an ADULT do not touch it! Kids need to be taught to treat all guns as if they were loaded because they just dont know by looking at them! COMMON SENSE ISN'T COMMON SENSE UNLESS IT'S FIRST TAUGHT
So, Mr Helina, abolishing gun ownership just because aperson wants to carry one is like sterilizing a couple just because they want to have children!
Our Second amendment right gives us the right to keep and bear arms in order to form militias to protect ourselves from government overthrow------take away any part of that and the only people with guns are criminals and government!
Subject: Firearms and Dating
Message: America's murder rate relative to other civilized countries speaks for itself; there can be no serious argument that increased gun ownership makes for a safer country. All we can do is hope that as the mouth breathers die off (Charlt0n Heston was a good start) the following generations will become progressively more enlightened, and the gun nuts will dwindle into dustbin of history alongside the other relics of their ilk (racists, sexists, flat earthers, etc. ) "
Ok, those who think as you do will surely get our second amendment abolished...with it the rest of our rights may very well go with it.
For the point of arguement............there are no more guns, murders are also committed by beating to death with hammers---ban hammers??
Murders are committed by pushing out of high windows......ban windows??
Murders are committed by strangling to death-----cut off all hands?
Murders are committed by PEOPLE so shall we ban people?
Us "mouth breathers and gun nuts" need protection from closed minded thinkers like you flamingos!
I forgot to mention-------we were not permitted in or near our parent's bedroom when they were not in there. As kids, we were always told those guns can kill you! As a parent i told my sons, YOU can kill yourself or your brother with that gun----it's hands off!! They were also not allowed in my room or near the guns. They knew the guns were there, and usually---if they were to sneak into my room...it was for the small change I kept in a little dish on my vanity NOT the guns!
Calling Charleton Heston a "Mouth breather" is quite halarious----so what unbecoming name shall we call someone who is anti-gun??
Those of you bashing our RIGHT TO CHOOSE to own a gun or not are forgetting the REASON it's our second amendment right-------we have the right to bear arms to protect ourselves from OUR GOVERNMENT OVERTAKING US but then......most of y'all have your heads buried so deep in the sand that perhaps I should call y'all flamingos!
As a woman, I am NOT turned off by guns, my date owning a gun, or guns in the house. I believe ALL states should license us to carry...my husband was a truck driver & that made his truck his home while on the road. Rest areas are far from safe, I used to be up all night worrying when he was in towns like Philly. Our world isn't such a safe place, our second amendment rights are to bear arms, we need arms to protect ourselves.
I see nothing wrong with having guns, if you carry a gun on a date I even understand WHY it would scare the crap out of that person. A woman would first worry that he was going to use it to hurt her and a man who learned his date has a gun may worry about the same thing. Why mention it if you carry just for protection? Just keep it out of site! Then it causes no drama, no worries.
If my date told me he carried a gun for work purposes or because he believes in protection I'd probably wonder why he was insecure enough to always be armed----unless that gun ended up saving my life!
"Freud did say that an irrational fear of weapons is a sign of sexual and emotional retardation" I don't know about the sexual or emotional retardation, there are so many reasons for people to have legitimate reasons to be afaid of weapons today----freud didn't have to worry about gangs, rapists, or the like as we do today. But people do fear weapons.
1. If your date carries a pistol, or is into the shooting lifestyle, would you want to know before the first date?
A: why wait to tell me on the first date?? If you're so up front and honest and carry for reasons of protection why can't you date tell me he has a permit to carry consealed and carries all the time BEFORE we do go out! To me; it would be less intimidating if I already knew.
2. What, to your mind, are the positives about your date taking responsibility for his own safety, and yours, by carrying a pistol legally?
A: our lives can be saved in a compromising situation
3. What are the negatives of same?
A: why think negatively?? Negtive thinking brings only negative results!
A woman who carries a gun is being responsible, she is aware of where she has to be and the safety of that place. A woman needs to have a gun in her home every bit as much as a man does to protect his family----more households are single parents now; just because daddy doesn't live there to pull out the gun in the middle of the night when they think they hear a prowler doesn't mean mama has to protect herself with a high heeled shoe! Having a LOADED gun in the bedside table is her best option. YES LOADED! ?? "Wait a minute Mr. Burgler/Rapist, I have to load my gun!" ?? Store the ammo in a separate place?Why?? So in the heat of the moment you forget where it is?
I too was raised with guns in the home. They were always i repeat ALWAYS loaded, there were NO safeties in those days, NO trigger locks-----what kept my brothers and sisters safe?? DAD!! Dad would beat our asses good if we went near those guns unsupervised! We didn't DARE go in their bedroom or fool with his guns because we KNEW what they are for! Dad took all 5 of us out to the woods and taught us each how to shoot, by doing that he taught us how to protect ourselves with a firearm as well as the dangers of a firearm.
Our little world has become so politically correct and afraid of it's own shadow that we've forgotten the fundamentals!!! EDUCATION! GUN SAFETY EDUCATION should be taught in every school in every city in every state but instead it's not and children who aren't taught to go tell when or if they find a firearm are inevitably victims of "firearm accidents" There are no accidents with firearms when kids aren't educated about guns-----that's neglect!
I'm second amendment and NRA all the way........
oh and about background checks to become licensed to carry----some folks just aint shown the
proper authorities what nut cases they already are-----because of them we all really need to carry!
??addict??
so i enjoy shopping online
what the heck!! i had no choice in becoming single again at 38 so
damn skippy i'm gonna enjoy my life at 45!!
I dont care what the thread was
i dont like being called an addict
psssssssssssssssst....perhaps the answer is simple!!
men who divorce suddenly realize that there is nobody taking care of him! suddenly he has to wash his own laundry, make his own supper and clean his own house!! so he marries again....
us ladies on the other hand ...we reserve the right to be picky because the man who thought he could take care of himself --- all by himself never appreciated us to begin with!
I' m glad someone brought up , "But on the flip side - what is with the bald heads, shaving and crew cuts we see too often on men? I want to run my fingers through a nice head of hair - what is good for the gander is good for the goose"
I dont get that men who CAN grow beautiful heads of thick silky hair go and shave themselves to look like Kojak! Where as other guys go spend hundreds or thousands of dollars at nuhart hair club to get implants!
personally....I LOVE a man who has GUTS enough to wear his clean soft silken locks, long!
maybe not in context with the subject at hand...
but as for the couple in country buffet....
Life is too short to spoil OUR happiness because YOU think we look foolish!
I just love that they feel young enough and alive enough to live!!
Clothing is supposed to be an expression of who we are, what we like, what makes us happy. Some may find happiness in dressing and acting exactly like everyone else---but not me! i wear what I like, I do as i like and I live while I'm alive!!
I once wore a pretty silk nightgown to a formal wedding, I added stylish accessories, proper foundations, ( as in the right bra and slip etc) and pretty shoes! nobody actually knew it was a nightie except for the few people I told before we went!
and I had the best time too
Why are we spending our lives worrying what others think when it's OUR life that is being wasted and our own happiness is being denied because of what others think!!??
to heck with that! Im only gonna live once and I'm gonna LIVE while I'm here!
moon fish...pulling it off means it looks good on someone. I personally never meant that anyone 50 lbs overweight should wear a tube top and daisy dukes
then again...before you judge me or my sisters over 40 perhaps you should shower and wash your hair---and try smiling
If you can still pull off junior's clothing why the heck not! anyone who disagrees with me is probably 50+ lbs overweight anyway
You need to
START BELIEVING IN YOURSELF
a lack of confidence and perhaps self esteem
was the first impressions while looking over
your requests to tweak your profile
---and I've yet to read your profile, Darlin!
It's ok, we've all been there!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Change your title!! Boys are stupid throw rocks at them puts out a very negative and oppressive feeling---
ABOUT ME:
How are you today
I'm very confident, always have a smile,enjoy singing and photography. I love, Love, LOVE sports!!
***make a list on paper or with a friend of qualities you are attracted to.
instead of dislikes list what you like, remember!!
If you say things that are negtive you'll attract negative!!
you seem to have more "must nots" than "must haves"
stop believing there is something wrong with you!
START BELIEVING YOU ARE FUN TO BE WITH,
THAT YOU ARE VERY PRETTY AND VERY LOVEABLE

Need a girls review on my profile
Posted:

well, it's a little long. most women don't want to read all of that.
(the same may be said for my profile but
most of mine is an honest to goodness joke)
I liked what you said, but you need to
just sort of sum it up some and shorten it.
And I agree that you need to smile in your photo,
the second pic you posted
is scarry as hell
...looks like you're glaring down before you swing the ax!
Life isn't about keeping score,it's about choosing to use your life to touch someone else's in a way that could never have been achieved otherwise.
I'm Dan, a college sr., majoring in Outdoor Recreation. i hate sitting around and doing nothing, love being outdoors and traveling around exploring.
There is no better feeling then sitting on a beach watching the sun come up for another day.
I love Friends, Family, being active, Traveling,walking,Fall and Summer & this adventure called LIFE
What about women??
She needs to be cute and fun; independant but adventerous ; the girl next door or the girly girl when situations permit it.
FIRST DATE:
to be determined by what WE plan together
that's what i'd post for your profile.
your original was creatively written, but honestly----so many people here only look at the pretty pictures and respond! so I'd definately change your photos, get some smiling and having fun!

If your idea of staying anonymous is to hide the fact that you're hiding something---like being married or ugly or 500 lbs overweight then most have no pic at all.
Personally, I don't want to date your dog or your cat or see a photo of some waterfall you saw on vacation 5 years ago, ---most of us here are here to date. I want to see your FACE not your behind, not your crossed legs, not your ear or your eye or your weenie---I want to see your face! If you can't show your face there's a reason---you have something to hide.
I've worked in public places: stores, restaurants, child care situations, housekeeping and other highly public jobs and kept the photos of my face online. I never had problems with anyone looking for me, bothering me at work or stalking me because they recognized my photo online. Your store has SECURITY on duty, so does the local mall, etc. If you want more visability for your profile, a pic is necessary---period. So either stop whinning
about the fact that prospective dates would like to know in advance if they're attracted to you physically
---your face----not your A.ss, not your legs, not your ear etc. If you can't get over that then maybe you shouldn't be online dating to begin with!
As for ladies in lingerie portraits, those DO get excellent viewng results.
I've had "regular" face shots and even full body pictures here and my new lingerie shots have gotten me far more replies than I've had before. Lingerie photos can be tasteful as mine are---but men are attracted to lingerie...sorry if you have a problem with that.
again so sorry stop whinning and decide if you want to date or to sit home in front of your computer every week end with a box of kleenex crying
that you are again dateless!
personally---if a man responds to me and he has no picture or his picture is of bugs bunny or some place he was at on vacation I don't even bother to read his letter I delete it because if he can't show his face there is usually a married reason or 500 lbs of you wont like this to hide!
you may or may not like the fact that I came right out and said what most of us think 365 days a year when we view these sights, but it's like this---
I aint gonna lie!
that's how I see it and that's how others who I've talked to about this feel.
argue
about it all you want....thats just the way it is

I guess it wouldnt be any worse than asking your wife/girlfriend to pop that pimple on your back that you cant quite reach.... but then again I am sure that there are some women out there that like to do that for their man,
Lol that was my favorite part of the marriage , oh honey , that hurts here let me fix that for you ... lol five seconds later he is screaming bloody murder. Wow woman can get mean when we want to.
My ex used to have me cut his hair, we went to Orlando on vacation and I wanted sooo badly to go to sea world (I had never been) he told me no tickets were to expensive then went and bought us one day passes to Disney... I said so you still want that hair cut , he goes yeah , I shaved him bald. Then felt really guilt cuz he bought the tickets to surprise me . But he never teased me again.

Your Coolest Friends Feature.
Posted:
3/20/2007 12:32:57 AM
ok, all joking aside!
I guess it's a neat little feature, but "m not sure if I'll use it.
My friendships are private as all of my friends are married!
They aren't here anyway they dont have reason to look
for a date! I did get some nice "testimonials" which was very sweet of the
men who gave them to me (thank you, thank you)
but the greatest feature about the internet itself is the right to remain
anonymous! My face to face friends dont wish to be here,
I have reservations about
marking the friends that I've made here---another privacy issue. Guarding their feelings etc
I kinda sorta wish there was a way to mark the real rejects or to warn others from contacting someone! I met one guy here who was stll in love with his drunked x and continued to go see her to get beaten up while he professed how good i was for him! I marked him with a big red L and called NEXT real quick like!
There really is NOTHING wrong with this feature!! But an advanced search would've been nicer, as would a bunch of new emoticons and I'm sure that there are other new features coming out soon. Anyway!! Being that this is a FREE site, thank you very much for continuing to make new features and improvements for us here!!

Ladies: guy kissing you or asking to kiss you?

Well, Destinysoulmate, i dont know which is worse!! I don't like those wet dog-lizard-face swallowing kisses on a first date ! but what's worse!!
i once kissed this guy i liked in high school, it was like kissing a FISH
All lips, no tongue just this open/closed open/closed HOLLOW mouth kiss ---NO TONGUE, NO softness to it that was about as affectionate as ---well kissin NEMO!
Years later I ran into him and we went out for dinner mainly to laugh about our high school days and to get up to date with what we'd been up to. At the end of the night he kissed me goodnight---i had hoped that someone taught him HOW to kiss by then, but alas, I was kissin Nemo again!
Still No tongue, all open/closed open/closed no softness just fish kissin! I admit to wanting a big bowl to swim away in!!

I love that old fashioned respected feeling when the gentleman asks for that first kiss.
Alot can be gained from patience and gentleness, showing that you can be a gentleman, not assume things, not pressure or force that first kiss along is just a real treat in a hurry up world of "screwmebeforeitstomorrow.com"!
I may be old fashioned, hell, I may be turning into my mother for all I know---but being asked just makes me go awwwwwwwwwwwwwww and naturally the kiss is accepted!

March 17th POF Party Results!
Posted:
3/18/2007 3:15:45 PM
so sorry to have missed the party! I really did want to attend. I moved last Saturday from Centerville, GA to Woodstock, Ga----then on TUESDAY moved AGAIN to Loganville!
happily enough, the second move was not unknown so not a single box got unpacked!
This has been a really busy week and yesterday ended up being the busiest day of all, therefore the party was just undoable. I really wanted to attend and send my most sincere and humble apologies to the host/hostess of the shindig and thank them for welcoming me to come in the first place.
Glad to hear it was a major success!

Can a woman really be a lady & a freak in the bed room?

a LADY can be ANYTHING she wants to be!
We are well behaved and mind our manners in public,
our table manners are impecable and our secrets well hidden.
In bed, we let our hair down and let our men be glad that they're a man!

Not date someone because of their name?

My room mate has had bad experiences with men named DAVID.
I always laughed with her at her experiences until I met and dated a DAVID and the "steriotypes" as I thought they were, turned out to be very true. so ladies, watch out for DAVID too!
and YES I will turn down a David before i even get to know him now!
sorry if you think that's shallow....but your name must be David isn't it!

Why do people post pics of themselves with their kids on here?

I will add this to the subject.
I do NOT want to see photos of some kids instead of the face of the person who
has posted here for a date. It bothers me that a person would HIDE behind their kids
and NOT post theirown photo as a main photo. Yet there are many men here who have
done this.
Uhhhhhhhhh it also bothers me when a man does NOT post a photo at all
and his profile says "I'll tell you later" all thru it, makes me wonder
WHAT he has to hide!
I want a nice photo of a the person who is looking for companionship,
not an ad for a package deal that practically says looking for a nice
woman to raise this child!
yes, we're all proud of our kids, but I'm not going to try to use them
as pawns for others to date me...never have never will
---and it wont be real long before my youngest is old enough to
post hisown profile here so why would I use him>>
...no, i don't get it either----especially the photos where they only have the kids
in them and NO photo of themself!
Just my opinion
