The logical thing is to ask him and get the answer straight from the horses mouth, why would you ask a forum to answer for him?...I don't get it....by the time you mull everyone's assumptions and your own, you'll be so messed up ..his answer won't matter....Do yourself the favor hun and GO ASK HIM YOURSELF!

At this very moment, you may be saying to yourself that you have any number of admirable qualities. You are a loyal friend, a caring person, someone who is smart, dependable, fun to be around. That's wonderful, and I'm happy for you, but let me ask you this: are you being any of those things to yourself? ~Phillip C. McGraw,

A wise older woman once told me.......
"What ever you like about someone is a bonus...What ever you don't like will never change, either accept it or keep on walking!"

I'll give the woman credit for at least being up front and honest about her beliefs....hold on before you all get riled up here.....far too often have a i heard closet racists(parents or others) blurt out racial slurs on the sly in front of child ears shot. We the adults learned the same way from the same method....we are all racist to some degree and show our racism differently...... some more than others....

I moved from the Island 13 odd years ago to the mainland....and I thought that the Island was friendlier than the mainland.I find that people on the mainland are frostier and have that "what do you want " look???....while the Island people are more apt to help....I really think it has more bearing on the demographics of where you live on the mainland....areas differ greatly as I am sure they also are on the Island.

1/2 tablespoon garam masala
2 tablespoons melted butter

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon chopped green chili pepper
2 cups tomato puree
1 tablespoon chili powder
salt to taste
1 cup water
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
1 cup fresh heavy cream
Directions
* To Marinate: Place chicken in a nonporous glass dish or bowl with lemon juice, 1 tablespoon chili powder and salt. Toss to coat; cover dish and refrigerate to marinate for 1 hour.
* Drain yogurt in a cloth for 15 to 20 minutes. Place in a medium bowl; mix in salt, garlic paste, garam masala, butter, chili powder, ginger paste, lemon juice and oil. Pour yogurt mixture over chicken, replace cover and refrigerate to marinate for another 3 to 4 hours.
* Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
* 4 Place chicken on skewers. Place skewers in a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until almost cooked through.
* 5 To Make Sauce: Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in garam masala. When masala begins to crackle, mix in ginger, garlic paste and green chile peppers. Saute until tender, then stir in tomato puree, chili powder, salt, garam masala and water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring in honey and fenugreek.
* 6 Place chicken in sauce mixture. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink inside. Stir in fresh cream.
Back
Tandoori Chicken
Ingredients
12 Chicken drumsticks and/or breast pieces (skin removed)
1 cup plain yoghurt or 2 cups Buttermilk
1 1/2 tbsp. red chilli powder
1 tbsp. ginger powder
2 tbsp. coriander powder
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. cumin powder
1/2 tbsp. garam masala
Meat tenderiser (optional)
2 tbsp. salt (use less if tenderiser contains salt)
Directions
* Prick the chicken pieces with a fork all over.
* Apply the tenderizer to the chicken pieces and let it stand for an hour or so.
* The marinade: Take a wide and deep bowl about 12 2 inches wide and deep enough to hold all the chicken pieces.
* Add the yoghurt plus one-cup water or the buttermilk with no water into the bowl.
* Add all the spices from nos. 3 through 8 into the bowl and stir to form a homogeneous mixture.
* Now add the chicken pieces into the mixture, so that they are all covered with the paste/mixture.
* Cover the bowl with a lid and let it stand for 6 hours.
* If you plan to marinade for 12-15 hours, put it in the refrigerator.
* The more time it is marinated, the better it will absorb the spices and the tastier it will be.
* When you are ready to grill the chicken, apply melted butter to the the chicken pieces with a brush or spoon all over and you are ready to grill the chicken on the barbecue in the normal fashion.
* Turn over the chicken pieces when they look brownish red in colour or darker if you prefer it well done.
* Slice finely onion into rings, add some salt and lemon juice to it, to be served as a salad with the tandoori chicken.
* Lemon juice sprinkled on the cooked pieces also adds to the flavour, if you wish.

Doing the Old People thing

Such a long time ago my parent parted...but every day I look in the mirror and I see my daddy's eyes , the gentle graying i used to loath of my mother hair , the furrows and light wrinkles etched on my face from grinning,laughing , squinting and worry. I now clean like my mother , cook the favorite foods as she did and keep up the family traditions on holidays and special occasions....I really miss my parents now that they have gone...but every day I see my daddy's eyes and hear his loving words..."I love you so much"...to this day when ever I call my siblings I still end the call like my dad did...."remember I love you!"...yes daddy I still do! As my mother when ever someone comes over , I welcome them into my home as a "special guest" followed by a meal to warm the heart....My parents left me a legacy I used to hate and said I would never do the same....but now I find I do as they did and love every moment....for Even though they have passed...I still see and feel them everyday and I am reminded I still am my mommy and daddy's little girl! I still remember mom and dad talking about my grandparents and how the reminisced and sat there with a blank stare....remembering as I do now....
Now that my time is limited as theirs did..I find getting older a wonderful thing , it's a gift!

MENOPAUSE & ANDROPAUSE....entering uncharted territory.......
Posted:

I kinda agree that this is not a suitable subject for the forums........unless it was a women's only forum....WHAT????????
The subject in question if you took the time to read it is of BOTH sexes, as for experiencing I agree you probably wouldn't understand unless you were in Peri menopausal, but would you rather be informed ??????older people do pass on knowledge to the younger ones...that is how we learn............
As for other postings and suitability, I reserve judgment on redundant topics and that is my OPINION and I keep those to myself!

MENOPAUSE & ANDROPAUSE....entering uncharted territory.......
Posted:
11/11/2008 12:17:11 PM
Interesting facts that both women and men go through hormonal changes in latter years in life causing physiological and psychological changes.
Andropause(men)
* Testosterone and body composition: Decreased muscle mass, decreased bone density, increased body fat, especially abdominal/visceral fat
* Testosterone and sexual function: Erectile dysfunction and low sex drive
* Testosterone and depressed mood: poor sleep, low energy, mood swings, irritability, apathy, social isolation, anxiety
* Testosterone and red blood cells: Anemia
* Testosterone and cognitive function: Poor concentration, decreased short-term memory, poor decision making.
Menopause(women)
physical symptoms of menopause include:
* "Hot flashes" - sudden waves of mild or intense body heat
* Night sweats - similar to hot flashes that occur at night and result in profuse sweating
* Difficulty sleeping
* Headaches
* Increasing variability of the menstrual cycle, including irregular and missed periods
* Decreased bone density (occurring later in the menopausal transition), potentially leading to osteoporosis and fractures.
Emotional symptoms may include:
* Mood changes
* Anxiety
* Forgetfulness or problems with focus and concentration
Sexual symptoms may result from increasing dryness and thinning of the vaginal wall, leading to pain or discomfort during intercourse
It would be interesting to find out your takes on this subject....hence a number of women and men on pof are entering this stage at one point or another

Studies back up the benefits of positive self-talk: Research suggests that consistently replacing negative thoughts with optimistic ones may improve your outlook, reduce stress and lift your self-esteem.

Kelly Ellard *Fourth Trial * The Saga Continues

The Canadian Judicial system is severely flawed in my eyes.Our Judicial system negates to remember the victim and their families...how may times must the family be reminded and the victim re killed?..Miss Virk and her family are now going to have to go through this process a fourth time...as do the parents of Miss Ellard who have to be reminded of their daughters tainted past.In my mind there is no shadow of a doubt of Miss Ellards guilt and this case has really exhausted all avenues of reprieve.

My puter has literally replaced my tv(rarely watch the darn thing)...I do all my banking , work, photos,music etc.....Seems what used to be a novelty has now become a necessity...(or is it an addiction????)......your thoughts...............

The gun violence that occurred in the streets has now spread to the homes.....the possibility of that kind of violence could spread to schools.....just over 48hrs ago(dead parent and daughter clinging to life) it happened again.....don't you think it is a possible REAL issue?...I am not condoning the action of a Texas school to bare arms or trying to institute fear mongering.... it's an awareness of what is happening and the possibility it could happen....an OBSERVATION ...an OPINION......and finally a FORUM DISCUSSION.
Finally it is real when it touches close to home, my own family was touched from violence, one of my nieces lost her life to violence ....hence my OPINION it could happen....never say never..............
