Voter History not updating
Posted: 1/4/2007 8:50:59 PM
Yes I would like to be able to delete any and all of my Voting History, since it can get really out of date. Haven't found an answer yet, there are so many postings to faq...

Is kissing cheating...?
Posted: 12/21/2006 8:42:26 AM
If it's french kissing of course it is...think of it this way, if you kissed a family like that would it be incestuous?

Why does affection turn women off?
Posted: 12/20/2006 7:50:37 AM
The problem isn't the affection, it's that it's too much to soon. Running your hands through a woman hair on a first date? You got to be kidding....

Differences In Personalities Of Nonphoto Profile People....
Posted: 12/19/2006 8:12:23 PM
Funny, I always feel that some of the more nasty posts are from people who don't have a pic.

Plus I think alot of people have fake profiles of the opposite gender, just so they can back up something they said using their real gender that has a pic.

If in a rush, would you let your date fold your newly dried laundry ?
Posted: 11/23/2006 8:34:57 PM
Brown streak problem? Dryer left running? I think you should teach your daughter how to wash laundry first before worrying about folding it

How do we feel about Michael Richards?
Posted: 11/22/2006 4:58:23 AM
I'm not making excuses for the guy, but if you saw him on Letterman, he looked like he was on heavy duty meds for something....maybe that's why he flipped out...he didn't even seem to fully know where the heck he was when he was apologizing. Maybe on stage he slipped from over the top humor, to his "rage" as he put it, that his career has gone nowhere since Seinfeld and he just took it out on the nearest victims....I suspect if it was an audience of women, he would have gone into an anti-woman tirade...

To all the ladies of POF
Posted: 11/21/2006 8:43:59 PM
I just reread the original post after reading most of the responses. I don't feel it's about male bashing at all...just about self respect, and excepting who you are, and getting the most out of your life experiences good and bad, and making the most of them. "Choosing your won God's I think is a more general statement about life, not about religion. Many people today "choose" money or power as their "Gods"...many women fall prey to the media's view of beauty....so some many have chosen Plastic surgery as one of their "Gods"....I took it as defining yourself instead of just following the crowd, and/or every fad that comes along.

I think the whole post could have easily been about men if you substituted the word men, instead of women throughout the post.

Just like on most of these forums, most ppl, men and women...anything with a little insight or depth, is going to go right over their heads.

what is your take on mini skirts?
Posted: 11/17/2006 11:59:13 AM
Here is an easy way to judge wheather or not to wear one, especially if it's a really short mini-skirt......if you would feel like it's wrong to wear a bikini in a certain situation, then a micro mini is probably inappropriate too, at least pretty close....otherwise I don't see why wearing one would be offensive or wrong, such as going out to a club or on a date. If it's a first date and you think it will give the wrong message to the guy, then wear something more modest until the time is right.

Question for the guys...Should us women say NO SEX on the 1st date BEFORE the date?
Posted: 10/6/2006 4:26:40 PM
It should be understood without having to say it, but most guys are idiots. Never have sex with a guy the first time you meet him, unless sex is what your looking for. You will never have a good relationship with that guy, if any relationship at all. If a guy really likes you, he will have no problem waiting. Wanting sex on the first date is a major red flag about the size of Texas...

Why Women Prefer Taller Men - The definitive answer
Posted: 9/25/2006 8:13:47 PM
I think I can at least end this whole arguement about "protection" just look up one name...mostly forgotten...Audie Murphy only 5 5 the most decorated War Hero in the History of the United States, including the Congressional Medal of Honor, and 32 other medals for bravery, heck even the French gave him 4 medals, face it, it's the person, not the length of his thigh bones that makes the man.

If your further interested...Alexander the Great...considered the greatest general of all time 5 5 also became King

Physical ability...Muggsey Bogues 5 3, the shortest man ever to play in the NBA, played successfully for 14 years

A few to mention, of course there are dozens of other examples...Picasso 5 4 , Henry Winkler..."The Fonz" 5 5 , Franki Valli 5 4, James Cagney 5 4 etc etc etc...

The problem is when you see a number written down, you form a mental image of someone that you can't get from meeting them in person. The same would apply to women and numbers...who you really are and the vibes you give off, just can't come across on an impersonal machine like a pc

That's not always true, I just uploaded a couple of new ones today and they are already blurry...I'm not a computer wizared, but I did use the option of uploading them with maximum clarity...........I'm not the greatest looking guy in the world....LOL... but the stupid blurryness that develops really screws up pics...this has happened to me at other sites too that I used in the past...oh well.....

How Does a man choose cologne?
Posted: 8/15/2006 9:52:54 AM
Has anyone seen a new one that seems to have a good retro "man smell" called Everlast? It doesn't seem to overpower anyone, and doesn't smell "girlie"...I only had a small sample of it from a magazine...haven't seen it in any stores...otherwise I think for both men and women just old clean fresh skin from a shower is good, some women's perfume are so bad, it's like trying to date a chemical factory...LOL...people don't realize that part of the chemistry they are looking for is is the natural chemical pheremones that your skin emits...and we are all wasting our money covering it up!!! No wonder we can't find the "right one" LOL....

Needy versus attentive
Posted: 8/1/2006 10:57:43 AM
As a guy of 46 years old, I grew up in the 70's and 80's reading and hearing about how most men would rather spend time with their friends, spend to many hours at work etc. and women were looking for men who gave them more time to be together with them, to have more balance between, work, friends, family and having a relationship.

Okay, so I came through those years with the attitude that a woman would like a call out of the blue, just to say hello, or to talk more than you would the usual amount of time, talking to lets' say, a casual friend or you mom...LOL...

But where and when did wanting to spend time with a woman, more than you would with just a regular friend...when did this change from being a positive thing like "he wants to spend time with me, he likes to talk to me for hours, and actually listen to what's going on in my life"...etc...

WHEN DID THIS COME TO BE KNOWN AS BEING "NEEDY" AND "CLINGY"...I think this attitude is more common amoung women in their 20's and 30's, for various social changes, but I think the question still applies to a certain degree to women under 40 also, but it surprises me more for women in their 40s and 50's who didn't want to be the ignored sheltered housewives like their mothers.

I've read lots of forums, so I understand all about 5 calls a day right after you just met, saying Your in Love after two dates, or wanting to get married or have sex after just meeting... LMAO....

I can understand all that!!! ...if a woman told me she wanted to get married after one meeting I would think she is nuts too!!!

What I'm talking about is a natural progession if two people are interested in each other....sure, a guy might get carried away sometimes, and call to much, or want to see you a little more than you want at first....BUT WHAT IS THE FINE LINE BETWEEN BEING INTERESTED.....AND BEING CLINGY AND NEEDY? DON'T WOMEN WANT ATTENTION FROM A MAN THEY ARE INTERESTING IN? I totally understand about wanting space, and alone time, and your guy having other interests, and a life...I like my space too.....BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE VALID COMPLAINTS FROM WOMEN ABOUT GUYS NEVER GROWING UP, ALWAYS HAVING TO HANG OUT IN BARS WITH THEIR FRIENDS, AND GUYS BEING PLAYERS AND CHEATS...is this the preferred way women want men to be?

This is very perplexing...any comments, ideas ladies? would be appreciated...guys welcome to chime in too.

THIS IS NOT A PITY THREAD, I'M GENUINLY INTERESTED IN KNOWING WHAT THAT FINE LINE IS? THANKS...GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN YOUR SEARCH

hot girls - would you date them?
Posted: 6/26/2006 10:43:53 AM
This is too funny, bottom line is what's hot to one person is nothing to someone else, so how can you generalize who's hot anyway?...for all you know they all had low self-esteem and thought themselves to be unattractive...maybe kidding with you was their way of compensating...in their minds anyway...

You make a couple of good points about going to extreme for competitions, but to say any sport is not healthy in the long run is just so wrong...did you ever hear of Jack LaLanne?
