My Fairy Tale Girlfriend's Been Killed In a Car Accident

You have my sincere sympathy. I am crying again as I write this. My fiance died the day after Christmas from a massive heart attack. I met him in February, we got engaged in July, and I lost him in December. Kissed him goodbye that Friday morning as I was going to work and got a call from his son that afternoon that he was gone. I ended up in the hospital that night too................
My heart still cannot believe he will not walk in the door, but my head knows better.
He was only 55. Such a kind, gentle caring man. My kids loved him almost as much as I did. He was so good to them. He always had a joke, or a smile, or just asked how things were going like they really mattered to him. He was not here to see my first grandchild born, won't be here for the second and will miss a wedding this weekend. But we all know he is still around watching out for us, wishing he could be here.
My friends also keep telling me time will heal, but I can't even imagine life without him in it. It does get a little easier each day tho. I don't cry myself to sleep every night, just half of them now......lol. But I keep thinking if I was the one in Heaven, I would want him to go find someone to love again. Life is for living. Someday we will be together again......until then...........love you baby and miss you SO MUCH!

I would be happy to help with the canned food drive. Maybe we could collect food instead of a cover charge. Or gloves, mittens and hats. Whatever I can do to help, please let me know!
Thanks Robin and everyone for the great Halloween party!

AKRON - THIS SAT. OCT. 6 - HOOK LINE & DRINKERS- PORTAGE LAKES - 8:00 p.m.

Hi Carol,
Nice that you are trying to get group outings together. I won't make any of them for another month due to end of the season racing, but plan on doing some dancing in Akron after that. I haven't been to Hook, Line & Drinkers........but have been to the Upper Deck. It is a very crowded, very nice place. The employees are all great people.........and for bikers...a ton of them there every weekend plus the boats pull up and dock right below the decks. They have had great music there every time I've gone. Good luck getting a crowd to go.

Hi guys,
I would be happy to help map a ride in the spring. Right now I am usually at the racetrack weekends so can't really do it. Might find time to ride tho! I'd also have to find someone to ride with in spring unless I get my license by then. Right now it's just a temps........... Shiny side up!

Moving To Another City To Find Love?
Posted:

I am considering doing that right now. I have been looking around in the Carolinas. Looking for longer bike weather, better job opportunities and just a "life change". A friend told me that's what I really need at this point. Have to agree with him. So good luck Indigo....and justcueit. Seems like another sign from Somebody that it might be a good time to move on and up in my life!

A friend and I once set off a noise alarm. I was told the office people thought it was my racecar firing up. Gotta love it................

How do you deal with hardships?

I am so sorry. You and your family will be in my prayers.
I find talking to God and asking for strength helps me deal with anything. Time also helps makes things better.

For those who are hurting.

So what does everyone think of this one? I have/had a really great friend. Known him for going on 3 years. We went to bed w/sex within a month. Wasn't that great, so I said no more of that but we were great motorcycle buddies and dance partners. Everyone who saw us together thought we were "a couple". We had comments about what great sex we must have from perfect strangers who just saw us dance. Well, last summer he was putting the moves on me for more than friendship, and I told him I had to get my head straight about someone else that I had gone out of state to see but had amounted to nothing. For the last two months I have been trying to show the first guy how my feelings have changed towards him. Sent him flowers for valentine's day, baked cookies, the whole bit. He didn't even call me for valentine's day, he dug a bunch of other people out of the blizzard that hit. So I forgave him for that, we started dating(my words, he keeps saying he isn't hooking up with anyone). But he was happy to have me in his bed everynight, wake up with him every morning. Let me borrow his truck all the time, brings me firewood. I bought him a book of coupons for sex anyway he wanted it for valentine's day too. Anyway, we rode the other day, ended up at the neighborhood bar, where he promptly went and talked to another "friend" and ignored me the whole time we were there. Boy, did I feel stupid! So when he finally comes over after going on a half hour to talk to me, I tell him I feel really out of place and need to go home. Actually just walked out the door to get a ride from a friend two doors down. He follows me, takes me home, and we talk. He tells me I made the decision last summer when I told him I had to sort out feelings for this other guy. So what do you think? Was I stupid thinking I had a chance or is he an ass for letting me think we were getting somewhere so he could sleep with me, the whole time knowing he wasn't going to forget about the other guy? Or both? But you all are right, I think God got tired of me trying to figure it out and just slammed the door for me so I can find someone to be happy with.
Sorry this is so long, but geez do I feel better getting it off my chest.......lol!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about adding cocoa twice.......it's been a really long day! You add the cocoa in when cooking on the stove, not after you take it off. Then you just mix in oatmeal, peanut butter, vanilla and peanuts if you want them. Drop on wax paper.

Hi Ikusa,
Maybe this is the no bake recipe you are looking for.....they are really good!! My kids love them. The cookies usually disappear the first night they are made. Good luck!
3 cups quick oatmeal
2/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup(one stick) butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons vanilla
Cook over medium heat in saucepan the sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Bring it to a slow rolling boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add oatmeal, peanut butter, vanilla and cocoa and peanuts. Mix together and drop onto wax paper.
I have to admit, I have never added the chopped peanuts or used chunky peanut butter. I also forget the vanilla part of the time, but nobody complains when I make these!!

What an awesome idea!!
I work in a greenhouse, have for years. Among the many reasons I divorced my ex, he asked me why he should buy me flowers when I could bring home the ones from the trash. What a true romantic!!!!

I have been riding for a few years and would not and could not give it up. It is definitely addicting. I have my own little nitehawk that I love. I am hoping to get a harley in the spring. There is nothing better than being on the back of a bike with a man you trust. That is when I do alot of talking to God, with my eyes closed, thanking Him for all the good things in my life. Try it, you'll love it!!
