Profile adjustment, HELP!

Your profile is fine - I just think it's too long. After 3 paragraphs I stop reading them and either message the person (without finishing reading it) or move on to the next if I thought the first part didnt say much.

Fustrated with online dating

I think that guys who never contact me, but put me on their favorite list are kind of creepy. Say something, because it's like knocking on the front door, and running away.
I forgot who I favorited.... I put them there so I could write them later, but I guess I just never got around to it. They haven't written me either, so....

All POF pictures suck because of the quality limitations. All are poor quality. This is an issue.

Not sure why we all focus on the word "marriage" so much. I love quoting Gene Simmons "I'd rather be happily unmarried, than unhappily married" - and he has been with Shannon Tweed since the 80's. Marriage is in the heart, it is not in the form you fill out and file at the courthouse. Marriage is the state's intrusion into your personal affairs. That piece of paper never kept people together. Again, that comes from the heart and also the work that two people both put into their relationship. The concept of "marriage" as a legal action or a ceremony is meaningless to me compared with the concept of personal commitment to someone in a relationship. So for that guy to say he's never getting married again... does it really matter? OP are you really after that legal action down at the courthouse to make it a sticky and costly situation that you have to drag through the court system if one or both of you feel like ending the relationship? I prefer someone that sticks around because they want to stick around, not because they feel they have to. And if they want to leave, they should leave - if that's what will make them happy. I must be crazy!!!

Oh yes!
REMOVE the "just got out of a relationship" remark.
You don't have to turn everyone away before they even knock on your door! I would NEVER message someone that had that on their profile - but if we started talking and she explained herself with a heck of a lot more than just a one-liner, then she could fully explain what's going on under the surface and I could evaluate for myself. Having it on the profile means it's the #1 thing on her mind!

If the profile name elicits creepy responses - change the name i.e. change to another profile. Your nickname won't be eliminated from your life. Ditch the pot references. And talk about you, rather than how you see the undesirables that constantly harass you. In fact, make no mention of them.
And another thing - you start out by announcing that you have undesirable qualities. There is no way that a statement like that will be taken by someone as a declaration of how attractive of a person you are. You are here to be attractive to someone, right? Men don't covet the unattractive, whether we are talking about looks or personality. "unconventional lifestyle" is vague and allows my imagination to wander... probably a lot further than your lifestyle actually is. Define this or delete it. The phrase "unconventional lifestyle" may be what is attracting the so called fiends. Ditch pics 4 , 5, and 8. Keep the ones with smiles (or at least smirks)
There! Brutal honesty!

"I have two gorgeous daughters that I have
full time, every week, weekend, morning, afternoon and evening.
I am a full time single mom in the highest power. I am
very family oriented and have a huge extended family that we are close to. "
TRANSLATION: "My life is already overfull and I dont have any time to be away from it for the purposes of cultivating a relationship."
Everyone has family. Everyone knows family is important. But the way you describe it - leaves no room for anything else.
Suggest you MENTION your daughters if you must - but it isn't necessary since its answered in the stats questions that you have children. A lot of us have children. We already know the place they occupy with their parents. Droning on and on about how you have them full time, every week, weekend, morning, afternoon and evening pretty much seals the deal and you definitely get your point across rapidly: That you have no time for anything else. If you want to improve this I would suggest deleting your entire first paragraph and changing it to say "Family oriented, Loving single mom of 2 gorgeous girls" Simple and to the point, yet does not give off the vibe that you have absolutely no time for dating.

Thank you for the input! But the personal notes I write are not long. I think that too long is too creepy. So usually several short sentences. But this is about my profile, not my fishing technique. Let's try to stay on topic!

I've been on POF for a good bit now. And like others, I spend WAY too much time writing personal notes when they just get read/deleted and some go unread/deleted. The rest of them go "read" but RARELY replied to. This is not a cost-effective method of spending my time at all. It causes me to think that there might be unknowingly misrepresenting myself to others. In fact, it gives me a HUGE negative impression of the VAST majority of women on POF. Which leads me here. MAYBE I could use some pointers on how my shyza is written? Anyone? Buehler?
