OP....Consider youself lucky. You met a woman 3 months ago and wanted to let her move in? Helllloooo???? You want a smoke free house and eventually to quit smoking?? This is the issue. One you can accomplish yourself. Which will also help you accomplish your next goal which is to quit smoking. Which will help you with the next..which is to have a woman who wont smoke in your house. The Immediate rewards of quitting smoking.... your breath smells better ( and will be better to kiss) stained teeth get whiter ( prettier to look at) bad smelling clothes and hair go away ( ick..nasty) your yellow fingers and fingernails disappear ( ditto) food tastes better ( yum) your sense of smell returns to normal everyday activities no longer leave you out of breath (such as climbing stairs or light housework & sex!!! ) You'll save $7 (pack of cigs) x 7 ( days of a week)= $49 a week $49.00 a week x 52 weeks = $2548.00 Holy Smoke! haha no pun intended. Now.....addressing your single life... It's 2009...smoking is not cool...People who don't smoke don't want to hang w smokers. End of story. The dating pool of women looking for a non smoking man is way larger than the dating pool of women who are unbiased. In a nutshell Move into your house, quit smoking & find a new woman. Abby, thank you..but I didnt post that to fish for a compliment. However I will use this opportunity to say youre a smokin' sexy hot 50 something and gracious to boot. Now Neitz? After reading his post history I see he is a woman basher, bitter and hasnt had much luck with women in general. Highly under qualified to respond to a post such as this as his interactions w women such as ourselves and the other sexy 40 somethings who have responded, are most likely slim to none.

My vote is for the head hanging off the bed. ..Makes for a perfect angle....But make sure you put your hands behind his knees...that way...when he becomes over zealous in his pumping... you can dig your nails deep in his skin , which will make his knees buckle and he'll plop right out of your mouth. lol Works like a charm and he'll never make that mistake again.

I have 2 boys 13 & 15 and can honestly say that if they remember 1/2 of what Ive taught them they will grow up to be outstanding, respectable, hardworking young men. So my answer is yes, a woman can teach a boy to be a man. And sadly, theres a whole lot of men out there who act like boys and I have no problem pointing that out to my kids to help them see real life examples and learn from it.

Sounds to me like OP is forcing herself into Mr Rolex's life. He clearly is not interested in dating her, including her w his children, family or friends. She's OK to have around because she tends to his garden, cooks and cleans. He throws her a bone w an occasional dinner but she pays 1/2 and puts up w that because she's clinging on to any time spent w him. He's being rude to her because he cant shake her. This is a situation where girl likes boy more than boy likes girl. She does everything and anything to make her appealing to him & he's simply not interested. Instead of having some balls and telling her the truth he gets rude and short with her. That keeps her at a distance yet his house still gets cleaned for free.

Maybe you should do a search on 'codependent relationships' and get yourself into therepy...being single for 26 yrs in a pattern of healthy relationships must be exhausting. OP My best friend just went thru this....so she thought. She woke up one morning and thought she had a spider bite on her backside..a week later another one on her stomach...7 days later finally went to a DR.....turned out it was MRSA and not a spider bite. Very nasty wounds, flu like symptoms, swelling & pain at site and when you do internet searches the pictures of MRSA and spider bites some look the same. She had to do 2 rounds of antibiotics and get the wounds drained...shes finally feeling better but has deep purple scars...Dr says those will fade with time..and is a result of a deep infection. Good luck to you. Hope you feel better soon.

Nope..Ive never seen any of the Jackass shows...BUT one nite I busted my boys and their friends ( 14-15) playing Jackass by snowboarding off the garage roof, onto a man-made hill which got them BIG AIR and landed them on the trampoline. IF they made it that far they'd then bounced off the trampoline and continued down the driveway. I was mighty pissed off but I did give them an A+ for creativity.

Op, I'm not saying this to be harsh....but.... Maybe you need to figure out why you do the things you do before you jump into dating, cuz putting it out there on the www that youve filed bankrupcy, are still devestated 1 yr later after a 6 yr relationship...one that you stayed in even though she was unfaithful most of the time, play video games 'several nites per week' will only attract the meekest and weakest fish from this pond. THEN, youll roll into another relationship and youll be so busy dealing w her issues that youll never finish dealing w yours.

Op..If youre starting over then chances are you will 'date' a few men b4 you find one to have a relationship with. There is a difference and youll cut yourself short if you pick and choose every date on whether he will be long term potential & part of your package deal. Having a 'lunch date' and a 'relationship' are very different...and unless youre 'in a relationship' theres no reason for your kids to think anything other than he's ' moms friend'. I think most single parents will agree...theres no reason to introduce your kids to every date you have. Why bother? I'm in the same situation ... being divorced about 10 months , having 2 kids and just getting into the dating scene. Me having kids is not an issue ever....My kids have a father and he supports them & shares responsibility. Im lucky because there is no drama!!! Do I talk about my kids when Im on a date? Hell no! Im on a date! Would I go on a date with someone who absolutely does not want kids? Sure, if we know were just going out for a good time. Would I have a 'relationship' with a guy like that? Nope..he'd be long gone after I had to cancel cuz a kid issue came up.

My oldest son was with me and has been playing guitar since hes been 7 ( hes now 13) & I love it that he knows all these old rockers from back in my day. I told him a story of my 1st Jethro Tull album ..Cat Scrath Fever.... ..How I was in 6th grade walking down the street w my friends thinking I was so cooool......little did everyone know I had Shaun Cassidy album underneath! lol

I call Chicago my sweet home and have been graced with many opportunities over the years to see some awesome talent whether it be a national act in a Blues Bar downtown or local band ripping it up at biker bar down yonder....Ive also had the chance to run a OPEN JAM NITE where you never knew who was coming in to play! Yup....Ms Queen of The Blues, KoKo Taylor, even graced us with a Wang Dang Doodle! I dont have a favorite band to list because it changes with my mood but I think it would be fun to start a thread of LOCAL TALENT so we know who to go see when we are traveling thru your town, or since some of them travel regionally they may be coming soon to a town near you!
