Disgusted yet Not Flattered

If I put a sweater and turtle-neck on will I get that same effect

You will probably get more of the same regardless of what you wear because you are a woman and most men don't know how to be gentlemen anymore.

Don't worry about it, your pics don't really show off all that much, I would just think this one is a perv and move on.

Good luck

What the color of your eyes say about you!
Posted: 10/21/2009 11:14:29 AM
****Brown Eyes****
Either sexy as hell or are adorable. Loves to make new friends. Their relationship tends to be very honest because if they aren't truly in love, then the relationship won't work. They fall easily for their best friends. Will do anything for that special person. Kind and polite. Enjoys being with their guy/girl. LOVES to party. Good in bed. Can make ANYONE laugh or cheer them up. Loves to please the one they care for or love.Is not the kind of person that you want to piss of.

Email Response - No Attempt To Learn About Me
Posted: 10/16/2009 10:36:54 AM
My problem is that I never get that response.

I actually take the time to read their profile and compose an email that usually relates to something in their profile so that they can see we have at least something in common right away or at least that I read their whole profile. I try to be fun, witty, even humorous. But to no avail I always see the dreaded "Read Deleted" in the sent messages area. If I'm lucky I might just get a "Read" ha ha. This even happens when the person first contacts me and I respond to their email....ugh...I'm much more fun in person.

I did recently get a response....but that was when I was jokingly commenting "I wish I could be your sugar daddy", geesh.... I couldn't/wouldn't ever do that.

So at this rate I might actually get to meet someone online (but in person) by the year 2020...lol.

Is it that women are looking for extraordinarily good-looking men who happen to take all their pictures with their shirts off throwing up peace signs with fishy looking faces and messed up jelled hair whilst their pants are hanging so low you can't even get anything out of their pockets without kneeling down???

then again, maybe I'm just too old for this online thing.

"Sleeping with the enemy" movie came to mind

I agree with you here.

Do you really have to ask what to do??? I would go with your instinct and run for the hills, can we say RED FLAG???

Gee, I wonder why he is still single??

Can you handle me?
Posted: 9/21/2009 8:17:14 AM

Sounds like a guy bragging about himself. Maybe he's a little insecure about his "shortcomings".

AMEN..you hit it right on the head. Usually the guy also has one of those "fauxhawks" and works out a lot and probably tans and is also known as a Douchebag.

Does this drive all men nuts?
Posted: 9/10/2009 9:36:14 AM
I only wish I had a woman to compliment.....lol

Really though I think people go overboard with the whole "I love you" thing...it gets old and people say it without meaning it....constantly.

Maybe he doesn't feel the same way about you????? or maybe he too "manly" to be able to say something romantic off the cuff???

I would say what you feel, but don't always expect a return (although that gets awkward)...but maybe appreciate the things he does do for you as a way for him to show his love for you?

Hope everything goes well for you.

How has your experience been with POF? Thumbs Up or Down?
Posted: 9/9/2009 12:04:33 PM
I guess i'll give it a ----ehhhhh

I've tried and tried....but to no avail. I've played with my profile (in private...lol) and tried different approaches, but I haven't really met anyone in person.

I was thinking of going to one of those POF get togethers...like the camping around here (ohio)... but it seemed that was a slightly bit older crowd for me (mid 40s to 50s).

I've sent many emails.....and no responses...or very "few" responses.

what would your reply have been....
Posted: 6/26/2008 7:35:29 AM
WOW..I'm a little amazed at all of the rude responses from you all here. What ever happened to treating others like you want to be treated? Ya know..kill 'em with kindness?

Anyways...I think this "problem" is that you are from completely different generations. When he was young the type of people that got tattoos were primarily outlaw bikers, prostitutes, sailors, and criminals.

Today tattoos are very trendy and a lot of people get them... maybe that's why he said "wild days"?

Just my opinion though..

I don't think this is really a double standard as much as it's a problem for the other person because they will not, or should not be at the top of your priority list. They will always be #2 because your child or children should always come first and some people have a problem with that.

I'm a single full time father and full time employee myself, and own a house....needless to say that a lot of my time goes to family, work, household chores, etc. Then I leave time for dating/relationships. Now I would never look at people's lives as baggage, it's not like I planned on things to happen this way, it just happened...people change and it's not always for the better. Or they simply grow apart because one becomes successful and the other stays in the "same ol rut"

Baggage are the emotional/psychological issues they bring from other relationships like the ability to trust, self-esteem issues... aka people that need you to "fix" them. I learned to stay from people like that because it just won't work.

Keep your head up and don't ever settle for something less than you deserve.
