Well, I am normally pretty oblivious in picking up subtle signals in social situations, but, even I am picking up on these (kinda like picking up a brick upside the head :-)). He wants more out of the relationship and is falling for you. I would also suggest that you really examine your own feelings as you seem to be falling for him too and are just afraid to acknowledge it

Quit Deleting my good PICTURES

Are you sure your pictures meet all of the rules? A big one being that every picture must have a recognizable view of your face.

You have pictures of you with your dog loaded now. However, 3 of your current pictures are agaisnt the site rules (does npt include a visible headshot of you in it).
You might want to remove those before you lose you image privileges

Starting a family aged 50+
Posted:

My father was in his late 40's when I was born. Growing up, as a teenager, was hard as he was a lot older than my friend's fathers and could not do many things like pay football with us, etc. He then died when I was 22, which made it very difficult on me.
As a result, I made the decision to have kids early and married a women with a 5 year old when I was 22. She is 30 now and we have a great relationship!!
So, yes I do agree with the OP that it does make it harder on the children as he chances of an older parent dieing when you are still young are much higher due to age.

for the gun control people

There aren't many predatory animals in urban North America, where you'll find the majority of pistol owners.
There are plenty of predatory animals in all urban areas in North America. Muggers, Gang members, people that break into houses. These are all predators that prey on people. Their intended victims being allowed to have guns just means there will likely be fewer predators in the future
Many people in the some parts of the U.S. are starting to wake up to this fact and are starting to fight back against the government slowly taking away our rights, including the right to carry a gun.

headshots reporting
Posted:

As long as one's Main Photo satisfies the strict guidelines, there's really no good reason extreme close-ups with partial faces or glasses or minimal effects should be disallowed as additional profile shots.
The very good reason is simple. IT IS THE RULES OF THIS SITE, that all photos must include a clear and recognizanble head shot of YOU

Picking it to the bone.....

it happened quite a bit at the beginning of my marriage. When my wife got what I considered to be unreasonable, like in the situation you described, I simply walked away. I did that repeatedly, and, she finally got the message that "This man does not tolerate that shit at all" and stopped the behavior

Different standards based on looks?
Posted:

If I were talking about a little one night stand, men have no standards other than looks right?
Well, that and availability.
Well, to be honest, when I did do one night stands (When I was in my teens and very early 20's) Looks had nothing to do with it. It was pure availability and willingness

reasonable or not

How does a few (2) weeks of email exchanges, a few (2) weeks of phone exchanges, a few (2) months of dating (i.e. going out, seeing how the other person interacts with strangers, etc.) then the 'exclusivity' talk (and all the 'benefits' that entails). The long term stage would be when you introduce each other to family and friends, and start making plans for the future.
Here is my take on it :
2 weeks of E-mail followed by 2 weeks of phone calls - way too long before the first face to face meeting/date. A few e-mails over a few days (2-3) followed by a couple phone calls over a day or 2, then meet in person. Very little can be discovered and known about a person until to meet in real life.
2 months of dating followed then becoming exclusive (I assume one of the benefits you refer to is sex at this point) - Could be reasonable timing, but, the fact that you seem to be refering to sex as a 'benefit' is an issue right off the bat for me.
If I am correct in my interpretation of what you are saying, you seem to perceive sex as something to give to a guy as a benefit instead of a mutually enjoyable act between 2 people with NO other motives except that they both like it and want to do it with each other at that time.

Long distance phone calls

A few hours on the phone every night is a pretty serious investment -- and a decent sign that the guy isn't seeing anyone else.
I think he meant a serious investment in time, not $$

umm, 1 in 15 is a pretty small minority :-) also, I know a fair amount of vegetarians and none of them exclusively date other vegetarions. They are all either married of dating us meat eaters.
Think of all the other groups of people with common likes and dislikes that would probably want the same thing. I don't see it as practical to implement that type of feature.

Exactly right, like stripping Third World countries of their oil and mineral wealth, while getting kids from impoverished backgrounds to do the dying for them for a few thousand a year, you've got to hand it to them.
Oh give me an f'ing break. Let me guess, you are a liberal or socialist??
They stay rich and get richer be understanding the capitalist economy and doing things like: getting educated, investing wisely, and working their butts off

Ever hear the saying:
The rich get richer because they keep doing what got them rich in the first place.
The poor get poorer because the keep doing what got them poor in the first place

why are people afraid to date single parents.....?
Posted:
11/2/2008 7:44:16 PM
For me it is a matter of "Been there, done that" I dated and married a women with a 4 year old (4 when we started dating, 6 when we married) and was married for alomost 20 years. My daughter is now 29 and the love of my life and best friend still.
At this point, I have done my part raising a child and will not date others with children at home (18 plus and out of the house is fine). I enjoyed a having a family and raising a child, but, now is me time

Sports, old cars, guy stuff...do you like a woman into that or NO WAY?

I think it would be great, the car thing at least. This would save me a lot of money on car repairs since about all I know about cars is turning the key and driving
The one caveat being, don't expect me to be doing them with you since I find few things more boring than watching sporting events. We would, though, have other things in common I am sure
