Worst Breakup Line you ever used or heard
Posted: 8/30/2005 3:45:40 PM
So guy randomly stops talking to me. It's the first time this has ever happened to me, so I assume that either I called him up in the middle of the night drunk and said something horrible, or he's just not worth it. As a joke, my friend calls him up and says she's worried about me because I'm missing and she wants to know if he's seen me. He calls back in a panic the next day and she tells him I'm fine. He calls and asks if I'm all right (first time I've talked to him in a month) and when I say I'm fine, he tells me he was really worried about me...you see, he really started to care about me a lot, so he had to stop talking to me.

Oh, I get it....wtf?

So here's my favorite, since it voices exactly my opinion about System of a Down:

“Do you ever look to the sky and think, I’m glad I’m alive? After I heard System of a Down, I thought, I’m actually alive to hear the shittiest band of all time. Which is quite something when you think about it. Of all the bands that have gone before and all the bands that’ll be in the future, I was around when the worst was around.”
~Noel Gallagher

And here's the funny one:

"`... then I decided that I was a lemon for a couple of weeks. I kept myself amused all that time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic.'
Arthur cleared his throat, and then did it again.
`Where,' he said, `did you...?'
`Find a gin and tonic?' said Ford brightly. `I found a small lake that thought it was a gin and tonic, and jumped in and out of that. At least,I think it thought it was a gin and tonic.'
`I may,' he added with a grin which would have sent sane men scampering into the trees, `have been imagining it.'"
-- Ford updating Arthur about what he's been doing for the past four years.

Women are you kidding us?
Posted: 8/29/2005 2:57:49 PM
Are YOU kidding me? Fyi, my profile says nothing about any of that stuff. But seriously, why bother with someone you don't think you're going to be attracted to? If you can't get over their looks, or something about their profile, then what's the point of wasting your time and theirs? I think a lot of women out there are saying that stuff really so they can attract a man with some self-confidence! If you think you could be someone's knight in shining armor, no one can say you lack self-esteem...and to me, that's the main component of the combination of "hotness."

That's cool. Am I posting in the wrong forum? Or living in the wrong state? Maybe next time I'll title my forum something like, "Hot Naked Girls Looking for Action" that will trick everyone into viewing it. lol.

why lie about being an outdoor person ??? Just be Dull !!!!!

Are you joking? Who wants to walk for four miles? To me, THAT'S dull. I do agree with you about people lying about being athletic and "hiking-oriented" on their profiles. I'm not an outdoors-type person. But, in my defense, check out my profile, I blatantly admitted it.

Introduce Yourself Here.

Hi! I'm Veronica. I've only lived in the springs for the last 6 months, originally from the east coast. I moved in with friends, but we're all hoping to find other new people to hang out with as well. Hope I get some kind of response! Colorado Springs so far hasn't proven itself to be very exciting. Maybe someone out there can change my mind???

Big Get-Together in Colorado Springs
Posted: 8/26/2005 1:05:11 PM
My roommate and I are two girls from the east coast who haven't lived out here very long and are looking for a ton of new people to hang out with and with which to do new things. We just got a beer pong table and have been doing that a lot lately. Please let us know if anyone would like to get together...we'd love to have a big party or just meet out at the club or even lunch. We're extremely bored and I know a lot of you all are too!!! So why are we all bored separately when you know we could get together and have a lot of fun?? This is the burning question that's been on everyones' minds. I hope to see a whole bunch of posts when I check back...full of great ideas and interesting people. Guys or girls welcome!!!
