I'll try but will not promise that I'll make it. I've had the flu but it's now been about 10 days. Most are saying this kind lasts about 10 days so hopefully I'm over it.

To the guys that are counting that the men outnumber the women,,,,,,,,,,,,

I go to the VFW almost every Friday night, there are lots of other single women that are always there There are a few married couples there and some dateing couples but still a lot of single women and you can try your bait on some of them. We're not restricted to our group. So go all over the room

And ladies,,,, there are also other single guys there

Hopefully I'll be mostly recovered from surgery

I'm talking a little but very hoarse and my nose is very sore I got a nose job LOL but please no touchy. Also had plyops taken of vocal cords so that's the reason for being hoarse.

Thanks for getting Pete to leave another dance area for us so the we don't have to get all the dirty hatefull looks from the line dancers. They have to be the most hatefull people on the dance floor,,,,,,,,, they will NEVER say 'sorry' for bumping into you,,, the whole dance floor belongs to THEM!!!!!!!!!

I will be comming for dinner.

The VFW newsletter says ,,, pork steak dinner for Sept 11th. I don't know how they will be cooked,,,, broiled, smoked or bar-b-que. $5.00 at 5:00pm. Come early as dinners usually goes fast.

To everyone,,,,,,,,,, I have to correct my posting of message that the food was free,,,,, THERE IS A $ 5.00 charge for the meal before karaoke. But I will still post what's cooking for that night as soon as I get newsletter.

The public transportation is ,,, Cape County Transit Authority 335-5533 or web www.cgcta.com I know it is $10.00 from Cape to Jackson about 10 miles so to just a motel there in Cape may be less. And the bar maids will call for you so you don't have to have the number and all.

For everyone's information the VFW has FREE food at 5:00 and it is for everyone there. But I have to say that it goes real quick, so if you want to eat be there early. As soom as I get the September VFW newsletter I'll post what's on. I am a VFW menber. Also there is Cape county public transportation if you have to much to drink ,,,, about $10.00 to a motel,,,,, a lot cheaper than a wreck or DWI

You are right in setting you limits especially if your child was going to be there. Any good man would have accepted your limits.,,,
You haven't lost anything with him saying that's it. There are much better men out there than him.

I've had a saying; When I was a young man, or a boy. and I went to take a girl out I had to meet the aproval of her parents,,, but now when I meet a lady, I know I have to meet the aproval of her children!!! and children set much higher standards for their mothers and are a whole lot tougher to meet their aproval than parents ever were!!!!!

But maybe he thought that he could win you over by making a big impression on your child,,,,, and NEVER let a man get at you that way,,,, you'll get your child in the middle of any break up.

Dating someone with post traumatic stress disorder

Yes, it takes a strong person to date someone with PTSD. And PTSD can often be the base for other problems that are not thought to be connected. I am a Viet Nam veteran, a 6 week motar seige, bullets past my head, the man beside me wounded. I came home and spent 17 years in the bottle, cost me 2 marriages and I now know I was hell to live with. In the 1980's I was told I was Bi-polar so that delayed my treatment and still have to live with that awful misdianosis and label.
I now get my treatment thru the VA and have made a lot of progress in the last couple years.
Yes the person has to want to get treatment thru therapy and want to follow thru with it and it may take years. They have to more or less stop blaming someone else and learn to live with their feeling and learn their triggers and to avoid them as much as possable.
Supporting him from a distance is about as good as it can get without him getting treatment.
Your picture of you in a****it was almost a trigger for me.
