You have actually said it, best, OP. We are working with no details, no context, and nothing of any relevant value. How are we, to know?
You know....you just don't want to know.

Physical traits in a man that are not attractive to females......

The following are looks in a man that I do not find attractive:
- inflatable looking vests, unless you are in a hovercraft.
- a haircut obtained for less than 10 dollars...it is obvious, usually.
- most sports jerseys.
- the goth look
- those god-awful khaki pants with a knife-pleat down the front.
- ponytails, unless you are divinely beautiful.
- mustaches.
- looking like a gangster...when you clearly are not one.
- nose hairs, ear hairs.
- bushy eyebrows similar to well known Russian politicians
- 3/4 of your body being tatooed
- a man purse
- sweatpants with elasticised bottoms
- short sleeve dress shirts
- baseball caps, any kind, any style
- high-waisted jeans
- those straw cowboy hats that look like he is from some dude ranch.
- cowboy boots
I know there is more, but you get the picture......

I was recently reading on the , Ask a Guy, forum site, what turns them off a female in terms of appearance. A lot of them cited, "too much makeup", " chipped nail polish", " painted on eyebrows", " lipliner", " over-bleached blonde hair", etc. etc.
As far as guys go and their 'flaws', I am wondering what women find not too appealing in men, as far as appearances go.

Should I keep her as a friend?

To Confident/Realist,
You really are a confident, realist. You have so succintly summed up the situation without being there, that it is scary. You should be a lawyer! I recognise a lot of what you have said in your letter, and I am sure a lot of others, do, as well.
It is a damn pity that one cannot remain friends with the opposite sex, for whatever reasons. But...there, you have it, it is usually not advisable.

I agree with callmelori....It is only a win for the one who wants you to remain as their friend.
Close the book...and put it back on the shelf...and leave it there.

Why does it seem to be such a bad things to be young(er)?

I completely agree with you. Lately, it seems fashionable for some younger guys to hit on older women, for the express purpose of conducting some sort of social experiment, and not a genuine connection.

9 out of 10 people just want sex

I like your answer...if there is no connection...then it is pretty devoid of any meaning on an emotional level. However....sometimes the physical aspect is just like filling an empty stomach...simply, filling the void. Then, it is only a temporary fix.

Ask them if you can stay in Vancouver...or take up reading as a serious hobby. You will be glad to return home....you really will.
There are good looking women here, as everywhere, in Canada.
I wish you the best.

Thank you for writing and confirming my beliefs about the landlords intentionally hiking the rent. I do believe it!
Moving to another city is not the answer....although, it has crossed and doe's cross my mind, from time to time.
Thank you for writing though...and welcome to the club!

Exorbitant Rents in Edmonton
Posted:
1/22/2009 3:34:34 PM
Hello to all renters.
Is it just me, or is the price of renting a decent apartment in Edmonton, absolutley out of reach for the common wage earner?
I desperately wish to move to a larger accomadating apartment dwelling, but am finding the market prices to just be out of reach and not offering anything worth the stated cost and with nothing out of the ordinary in terms of amenities and location or building assets. I only ask for decent, pleasant housing...an affordable sanctuary to call home, at the end of the day. Is that too much to ask of this city? So...the economy is in a tailspin but the rent's have not come down one iota...only a few more vacancies are available because most out of towner's have packed up and left!
It is enough to make a grown person cry with frustration. Is anyone else feeling this enormous burden of frustration when it comes to one of the most basic of human necessitie's....shelter!
Any thought's or insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
E.D.

Has text messaging killed the art of conversation and the English language?
Posted:
1/14/2009 10:20:39 PM
Yes, I agree. It has become so prevalent, that I find myself using it, when I truly don't like it. At time's, it is cute and very appropriate but not when you need a manual to decipher every little thing!
I do, however, like the use of little 'face's' and symbol's....they can be more expressive.
It is the way of thing's and probably won't be leaving anytime soon.

Why do women date mutiple guys at once?
Posted:

This is so very well said...you will both know if you are the "one". Until that time...it is called dating, not chain's and shackles.....life is too short for commitment to the wrong person or person's. One should just go with the flow......

Hi there,
I read your profile for the requested review...it is okay. I think that I would change the title of being a geek...it is just an immediate turnoff. You also spelled, caffeine incorrectly and I would not openly admit to watching, Dexter, a red flag goe's up in my mind when any guy is into CSI , Dexter or othere pyschopathic based tv show's.
Other than that...you are pretty detailed and specific. I have the not the faintest clue, what a kantana is, however. It doesn't matter.
Good Luck.

I've never understood the 'silence' method of breaking up
Posted:
10/31/2008 5:15:21 PM
I can sympathise with you...as I went thru a similar experience...where a ten year relationship ended in "silence".
There is nothing more cowardly than that...and in my opinion, there is no excuse barring, a huge tragedy that has befallen them thus preventing a "talk" with you, about the matter.
She will probably come round eventually to explain herself...but several years later...my guy never mustered the guts to finalize properly and with an ounce of decency. I feel for you...and am so sorry...but in a way, it is best that it ended for it started, if you catch my meaning.
Cheers

odd question
Posted:
8/19/2008 6:21:10 PM
Well....I am sure that you can catch the drift of that question....they just simply want to have a rough idea of what criteria you may have for starting a relationship...what traits are desirable or not to you...it is not that they can or cannot fulfill your wishes., just to know what your likes and dislikes are in a prospective partner.
Since you are on a date...I don't think that it is so out of line!

Red flag statements or questions

Excuse me....are you not being a bit paranoid???? That is a completely innocent question and taken out of its context...loses all relevant meaning. Perhaps you were discussing real estate or decorating, or anything possibly connected.
What...do you think she is going to do....pillage your house or whisk you off to Las Vegas for a quickie marriage all in the name of your, "nice house". Oh my god!

No transport
Posted:

I understand your reservation's and his hurt feelings....I don't own a car, and almost feel apolagetic about it...although, in a small way, I am saving the environment!
If I really like someone or was interested in pursuing the relationship with that person, then a lack of a car would not stop me...nothing would....because special relationships don't come along that frequently, and that doe's not make a woman or a man, less of a desirable person to be with. You just have to alter your arrangement's a bit, and then enjoy each other's company.
But...that is just my take...and is different for everyone!
