i'm sure the answers are in some glossy womens' magazine here's some more important questions: how many stupid threads should one read before losing it?! how many POF forum people does it take to change a lightbulb? how long is a piece of string? and how many years before people realise they can make their OWN decisions ??

Wouldn't you just have to face Mecca? So what if there's a lot of rock between you and the city? On Earth there will be a lot of buildings and objects in the way. On a more practical note, what do moslems do when they are on an aeroplane?

Redundant threads...

So what if we go over old ground? Just because a topic has been raised, does that mean we should never discuss that topic again? There are only so many topics out there... and I think this policy about "redundant" threads will lead to more and more obscure and crazy topics being raised.

If we allow users to continue to open new threads on tired overly done subjects, then you have this happening:

Just a thought on the Shallow Hal movie... Jack Black saw large women as thin and "good looking". Isn't this making a judgement call i.e. that "real" beauty is a thin woman. I guess the writers were just using what Hal saw as a metaphor for what is inside, but the point still stands.
