Sheila.....you should come with or without a friend, I peeked at your profile....you'll fit right in with us all, there are a couple of regular ladies that come from York and I may be able to put them in touch with you....but if you come on your own we will meet you at the door or one of the York ladies will.. Lolly...not you as well with this BB lark.....oh...it was me that offered the free drink for anyone who guessed what BB stands for!!!!.....so only one person has guessed it right...by chance as it happens....but Bridget Bardo, in disguise.....damn you spotted my secret Lolly... ... Lynne...I'll keep you informed via the site or I'll text you, we sometimes have a night round Rotherham so I'll let you know about those too, usually just a few of us, Pat, Sandra, me, and couple of others. From a guys perspective.....next time you are near him and there is a smile engage him in conversation and keep looking him in the eye...even say...ohh we keep passing like ships in the night, and we will have to stop meeting like this....yeah corny...but it still gets a smile..if he smiles or laughs/responds...ask if he would like to have coffee with you sometime...if he accepts you are on your way...coffee talk and...it may lead to a date away from work. Butttttt....never, never tell a cleaner anything....total gossips they are....and they like a bit of excitement being involved Failing that just ask him outright if he wants to meet up for a drink on evening... Hi Jane.....nice one....perfect post...couldn't have put it better.....but..................I have to say....those of you who have not given it a chance and desserted the event in favour of a non exclusive PoF event on the same night........shame on you.....please understand the difficulties we had on the last event and mis-information...but on the 28th we have exclusive use of the main room......and don't forget...the move to a new venue was forced upon us by the last place going into administration....give us break and at least understand and give it a chance.......we will still have a good night and enjoy ourselves..... Hahaha...Sandra.....no....not Bossy boots....or Best Buddy Pat.....try again folks Lynne...we were all there...but some had drifted into the other room, I think the fancy dress altered peoples appearance...I had to look close or twice to recognise who they were as the outfits were very good...didn't recognise Jill at all at first.....we will all be there on the 28th.. The sign up problem is that all the text that is in blue and underlined. This is a way of putting a link to a web page so that if you click on it the link will will go to the associated page, which happens to be Jane's profile. I'll have a little chat with Jane to see if she can alter it. Steve

Commando...you're signed up and listed, when you click on the button it puts your profile picture up and name and re-loads the first page... Welcome to the best PoF party atmosphere in the North....all you need to do is turn up on the night, see the person on the door, get your wristband and an optional name badge (profile name or real name) and then mingle...find or ask to meet a Ponte/Normanton regular and one of us will introduce you to others and make sure you don't just sit or stand on your own.....you may be dragged onto the dance floor by one of the regular ladies to dance with the rest of us. We are all very sociable and remember our first time...as for me I've been attending since the first time I went...lots of good friends have been made...... Anyone else thinking of coming on thier own...just let us know....someone will be allocated to meet and greet you at the door and escort you in....schimples.... Steve

A lot in their 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's Sam.....it's usual for an event...the age group is middle and mature ages, predominantly mid late 40's and early 50's...its common across all events. We get the same at Pontefract, Bradford, and Batley.....why not visit one of them one day...next Pontefract/Normanton one is 28th November. Steve

As a seasoned event attendee....I can assure you all that you don't need to be nervous...there are others on their own going, and some that are regulars who come on their own. Ladies...If you see another female on her own go up and ask to stand with her and chat, or if their is a small group of ladies then ask to join them, virtually all will accept you...same go's for the guys. There will be three ladies who are first timers that I will introduce to others so that they are not left out or on their own, regular event people always welcome new people and help them. Oh....and the events are not what some think , particularly those who never go to one think different to what it is...it is not a knocking shop evening, or a meat market, or a pick up place for one night stands....sorry any guys who were if you were hoping it was.....you'll be disappointed . The majority of ladies (and guys) are self respecting people, everyone should be treated with respect and courtesy. So...lets have a good night and enjoy ourselves amongst friends old and new...party on.. Steve

Ahhhh alas Yvonne I cannot take the credit for the photo, it's on Jills Facebook photo's, however I must get mine into my PC...can't find the bloody usb lead tho....as for the ideal!!! .....yep I'm still right Yvonne...cos I'm Mr Right....lol As for the venue and night...nope...saying nowt...WHY....cos it's already been said and I'm too lazy tonight to write too much....I said it before...it's the people that make it good...I get to know more and more people every time, and they me.....I really enjoy all your company..so diverse. I brought two ladies up with me from Sheffield, thier first time and wondering just exactly what these events were like...so now they know and they both really enjoyed it...if fact I think Ann posted a comment to that effect...and they are both coming to Sheffield now and likely to be at future Normanton nutters events...... Ann Marie...jadey....well you were jadey that night....unusual for you to be that sozzled....you and Maureen are two very lovely ladies. Partying...partying....yep five of us started partying last night..Sandra (her usual fun zany self)...Pat on good form....Julie (Not been to Ponte but going to sheffield next week) also on fine form...Geoff...and me...we rocked and livened up a few bars in Rotherham...I even got my Bum pinched and propositioned......by a man!!!!!!! So....just shows its the people that make the night.....just join in and don't be afraid to approach us all and join us. Jill...if you're feeling a bit off I presume you and Kazza had a good night in Huddersfield... Jane...sorry chuck...no fancy dress form tonight had too many pressing things to deal with...at least I have a house sorted now for when I move out on completion date...and YES...there probably will be a moving out party/get together and house warming....so watch this space.... I have a brother in law on the ex wife's side who is visually Impaired and uses Jaws, he often complains about it, I find it annoying as well when I help him. I will pass on to him the details you kindly supplied and he may get in touch with you. Jane....course you're invited....and my other ponte friends....not forgetting Sandra...how can you forget Sandra....lol.....but don't get too excited yet...cos don't know date yet for moving....just realised I've just packed all my glasses...oh well it's plastic cups or bring your own glass....and booze...lol Yvonne uk....we still have not had that dance you promised me....we keep missing each other....hope you will make it and still come...chill out after work...do you good.. There's a Sheffield event the week after the 'Normanton Ponte crew' event on Friday the 6th November if anyone's interested, message me or have a look on my profile for the details.... Positive the fun will just be the same...shouldn't make any difference now it's at a different venue...cos it's the people who make it work and enjoyable...everyone is made welcome and no one is left out left out....unless they want to be... Jill, Pat and I had a cracking night at the Gasworks last night....can't beat a live band...the whole place shuddered and vibrated to 'Don't Stop Believing' (it should be the POF theme tune)...they must have heard it in Leeds...the lead singer didn't need to sing...the audience did it for him....we rocked...good job we put the clock back....didn't get in till 4:30...well 3:30 with the extra hour.. Hi all and well done Sam. An after party event thread is now there, if you cant see it just go to UK forums and then click on the word Images next to the event posts wording. Hi all Well what a night. Aoplogies to all those that had a problem getting in, the truth of the matter was that the management at SUFC messed up and decided to put us in the small room when Sam had already talked to them about numbers and they agreed to us having one of the bigger rooms. This will not happen again, they will believe us when we tell them we have 140 plus coming. However we did manage to sort it out and move into the large room rather than struggle with the small room. Next time there will be tables and seating, a proper dance floor down, and an even better atmosphere. Thank you to all those that attended and hope to see you at the next one which hopefully will be in about 4 or 5 weeks. Watch the threads for notification of the next one and for signing up, photo's will be on soon. Steve

I want to make love, not have a quick fumble and wham bam thank you mam with a drugged up female that only wants your money, this here guy will go without rather than pay for it. Women can always find a man for sex, therefore they don't have to pay for it...statics show that STD's are rapidly increasing in the 40's and 50's age group because women are more liberated now and go out with the intention of finding a one night stand. If they can afford it they will go with a male escort, but isn't that where they have a meal and the booking is for the full evening or afternoon? or are they on here looking for a date and to be taken for a meal on the first date...we men pay and then back to hers....isn't that another form of prostitution???? As for sexual fetishes, why can't people discuss it with their partners and have an open discussion? communication and compromise are two elements of a successful relationship...and it could be something their partner has wanted to try but dare not say because of social conditioning and the partner being judgemental. Hi Musique, many come to meet someone they have been talking to at these events because it's safe, and if you are now in a relationship but not married, then you could still come, and bring your partner as well. It is about meeting and making new friends, not purely for finding a date SUFC is near town and not far from the train & bus station, it's on Shoreham Street, Sheffield Wednesday's ground is the one far from town. Hi oneforthehaters, and all you mid 20's guys and gals.....GOOD NEWS...I've just done a count up of male and female on the attendees list, and those who have posted and say they are bringing friends on this thread; the good news my friends is that in your age bracket its about even. My daughter has attended these events with me in the past and complained there are no men in their 20's....she is missing this one and there are guys in her age bracket...so she's missing out...hang on I'm her father...should I be encouraging her!!! It's looking even in all age brackets, a good mix of people to mingle with, dance, chat, and make new friends whatever the age and have a really good evening, there will be a number seasoned Pof event people there to make sure we have a good night. I second Shelly's comment.......nothing wrong with us older ones... Hey Shelly are you bringing Rachael with you? be fun for us seasoned Poffers to show the new ones how social and fun we all are....and as for the granddad comment from a guy's post.....some may be older but we can sure dance the night away. Sam...from experience of other events 95 so far signed up is a good number plus those who have said they are bringing a friend, probably get around 130 + ish on the night maybe up to 150....and yes it possibly will be evenly matched. I am coming with three other guys, two are from this area and attend the Ponte events, so got them to come to this one, but they have not signed up yet, that does happen a number of people turn up but don't sign up But....guys.....if you are thinking everyone who goes is hoping to 'pull', or the women are after a 'one night stand'...forget it...the majority of the LADIES that generally attend want a fun pleasant evening and maybe to meet someone to get to know them, lets have some respect for both sexes here. Hi Jumpster...it's possible you may be in luck...there are two lovely ladies from Glossop that may be coming, they attend the Pontefract events and they are seriously considering coming over to Sheffield, but they may stay over. If they are coming and travelling back I'll put you all in touch with each other. Oh an Canada sounds good to me, shame I'm two years out....lol Sam...no problem I'll continue recruiting, anyone unsure who wants the real picture of these events just send me a message.....they are fun, relaxed, evenings, they are NOT...pick up evenings, one night stand gatherings or cattle markets....just thought I'd make that clear as someone thought that's what they were and have now changed their mind after going to the Pontefract event. Ah my friend Jane....taking the 'p' again.....look it up...it means nervousness, apprehension, unease, fear, misgivings, and concern......but you knew that lol Hey Marie, it was good to see you back and that you have finally reached your goal an found what you were looking for....did you mange to prise yourself away from the attachment....lol....I thought you were stuck there at the picnic table all night...lol... As for the phrase 'Cattle Market'...that was the comment by the women I talked to who were there for the first time at an event...their description...but all of them said it was nothing like that at all... Ann Marie....lost again tut...what shall we do with you...hey one of your friends wants to come to the parties (the one from Nottingham).....put her in touch with me if she wants to come to the Sheffield one that she mentions...have you read her comment on F.B.? Steve Mexbro.......that's a bit negative....20 ladies so far signed up....in my experience there are roughly equal male and female at the events, so I would not base judgement on how sign up, a lot don't sign up but still turn up. In fact last night at the Pontefract event the men were out numbered by the ladies....yes for the first time it was approx 1 man to 2 ladies!!!!! a lot of them were first timers to these events...I never stopped dancing and talking to someone all night and into the early hours...yes I am suffering from lack of sleep from talking in the bar until 4:30 this morning but made some new friends. Its about socialising and enjoying single's fellowship...not a cattle market....yes you may meet someone special but at least you will have met some new friends both male and female. So Steve Mexbro..come along and see. Smoochyone....nice to see you coming, not seen you at an event for a while (Bradford and Ponte) it will be strange for you not organising it this time, you did some cracking parties in Sheffield until you stopped. Sam...recruited about 6/7 people who were at Pontefract last night to come to Sheffield, maybe more, some are from South York's, some further away and some are regulars so they can help spread the message.... Afternoon all Another fab evening with lots of friends, who I have met and become friends with through these social events, and it's ever increasing. To all the new people that came last night that I talked to and danced with I hope to see you all again at the next one in October. It was good to talk to new members and get their view, many came with trepidation in that they thought or had been told it was a cattle market etc...only to find it was definitely not like that at all and everyone at the end of the evening and again this morning with those who stayed over said they had a fantastic night and would be coming back. Sandi...glad we could make your birthday a good one, did Martina get back ok? you know what I mean!! You are lovely pair of ladies and I enjoyed your company apart from keeping me up till 4;30 am!!!! lol.....only joking. Not going to mention all the names because there are too many to list now, bit like Sandra's comment and post. Bur have to mention Jane because she organises it all and puts the hard work in, we all support her in some way...thanks again Jane. Hmmmm well yes....MSO...or was it SMO.....whichever.......look it up on the internet ladies.....oh all right I'll do it for you...... oh dear....one site says.... ½ oz Vodka; ½ oz Amaretto; ½ oz Kahlua; ½ oz Baileys Fill a shaker with ice. Add all the ingredients and shake well. Strain into a tumbler. another site says...To make a twelve ounce glass of Screaming Multiple Orgasm you need half an ounce of Vodka, half an ounce of Tia Maria or Kaluha, half an ounce of Baileys, some chocolate sauce, a little chocolate milkshake mix, some whipped cream and some milk and cream (half and half). You're going to want a clean twelve ounce Collins**ail glass. A little bit of chocolate sauce around the sides of the glass, and then fill with clean fresh ice. To mix yourail, you want a sixteen ounce Manhattan**ail shaker and in it, you're going to put a half ounce of Vodka. Follow up with a half ounce of coffee liquor, and a half ounce of Baileys. You want about six ounces of milk and cream and a little splash of chocolate milk shake mix. A little ice in the tin for mixing, and then shake it hard to blend all the ingredients together. And use your mixing glass, separate the ice and the mixture, on top of that a little whipped cream, and decorate with some more chocolate sauce. A couple of straws and you've got your Screaming Multiple Orgasm. So...there you have it ladies.....a real SMO would be simpler..... {For reasons way too disgusting to go into I believe mens knickers should not be available in white. Ok they may look good but certain things may occur during the wearing and its just not pleasant. Stick to black. Eww.} Errr sorry but I have to disagree here, all men are not the same, I wear white and they are changed not only daily, but also before I go out for the evening...and I do not leave the certain things you refer to in them, would that be skid marks you are referring to? nope not me, I'm particular about hygiene and cleanliness, However skid marks are not just a male phenomenon, my ex used to leave them now and again, god knows why she couldn't just put them in the laundry basket rather than the floor when she took them off. As for funny or fancy ones, I'd rather let the lady I'm seeing choose and buy them, then wear them for her pleasure...lol

Heyup all..... Now then Yvonne...why the shock at changing my photo??? It's not that bad is it...!!! Jane...yep we had a good night a Birdwell Venue...Sandra was on form, Jill, Pat an I did our air guitar trio...again, and generally bounced around to the music, they were very good ,and they are playing in Bradford in October if anyone wants to see them, Jill, Pat, and I will probably be going so message us if anyone fancy's see 'A Foreigners Journey' at Bradford. NOW....to the rest of you lot reading this...look lively...get signed up and posting...... I feel it would be beneficial to give an example of what Jane and the Ponte parties achieve... Friday...Me, not doing anything, gets a text from one of my Ponte friends, do I want to join them for a night out round Doncaster, yep...I went...had a real fun night...oh the young guy that got the wedgie on the dance floor...Ooooooooo was he in pain, he should not have been bothering those young ladies, they really made him suffer...Sandra and Rose were on form and their two mates...no stopping her (this was all in Flares after visiting a few bars first). Saturday...again Ponte mates...7 of us went to The Barnsley Venue to watch a live band mentioned above...a cracking night.. Sunday....met up with a POF friend and helped her out with a few things re moving house, and now I'm helping her move into her new house next weekend, I'm doing all the DIY stuff on the Sunday...curtain poles, mirrors up, all the things that need a drill etc.. So that was my weekend...spent with friends that I would not have met if I had not ventured to the Pontefract social meet/event...it makes difference to your life to have friends...good friends that you can talk to, meet up with, go out on the town with, anything really...engine shed, bowling, and just general get together's in-between the parties. So before you say...'Jezz dun't he go on a bit' the point is....PONTE PARTIES are about FREINDSHIP, FELLOWSHIP, and enjoy life where you can. I have met some nice friends both male and female.....and to all I chat to, message with, dance with, etc..... thanks for being a friend.....NOW GET POSTING AND SIGNED UP AND PUT A SMILE ON JANE'S FACE (not that she needs it). OK I'm done...Steve x

Hi there Sam I have experience of events and meets, I go to Bradford and Pontefract more or less to every event. If I can offer some advise then it would be advantageous to have a look at other the posts of other party hosts and their layout. I am/was in the process of also organising an event in South Yorkshire, and have three venues in mind that would accommodate the numbers. I may be willing to help you out, you need to have co hosts as well as yourself on the main page so that people can message hosts with any questions. I'm surprised you cannot mail out yet until you get 20 people, how else can you get at least 20 people signed up. Pontefract is very successful and gets around 150 there every month, and has established a very good atmosphere and friendly people, it now has approx 12 co hosts that help on the door and meet and greet new people to the social part of POF. Message me back if you want talk anything over or where you think I could help, I may be able to get some of the Pontefract regulars to come down and the South York's ones that travel to pontefract.
