His girlfriend sent me a message

OP, I'm really starting to be concerned for YOUR state of mind. If you truly mean what you just said "I think he is a cheating liar and a loser but I'd still like to hear his side".....Does HIS side of the story really matter?? He sounds like he may have some shady dealing going on, but you're appearing emotionally desperate.

Too old to be in this pond?

Suffice it to say that a LOT of the "kids" in the 20-30's range simply do not have any tact or manners! A better question would be WHY was HE "fishing" on a dating site? The world caters to the younger people so why couldn't he find a date in his circle of friends?? Maybe because he is a jerk?? My belief is that we ALL deserve love & companionship....at ANY age. The fact that we're looking online these days is GREAT for us! Our grandparents didn't have this technology available to them, otherwise....who knows? "Mail order brides" have been around for centuries. The internet is a lot more convenient! Don't let his comments get to ya, honey! He doesn't deserve your time.

Are men over 40 more afraid to approach women?

Ya know....I wonder if part of it could be our society? We've become so "sue" happy that a guy could be scared to death to even smile & say "hello" for fear of a sexual harrassment suit!

Long hair on older women

You're right...MOST men like long hair on a woman, however, I think that AGE should not be the indicator of when to go "short hair". I've had short (really short!) hair in my past, but never liked it enough to keep it that way! My mother (rest her soul) told me (when I was 23) that I didn't look like a "mother" (had 2 kids then). WHAT DOES A MOTHER LOOK LIKE?? We come in all shapes, sizes, colors, body types, etc! If you like long hair & look good with it..........GO FOR IT! Personally, I like mine long & will keep it that way until I get tired of the daily "upkeep".
