Do we really want to be in a relationship?
Posted: 11/25/2009 4:26:52 PM
But yet there was the time my EX was driving very drunk, I asked him stop and let me out as I was scared to death. After much ado and funny stuff (like pretending he was going to drive off a bridge on purpose) he stopped and let me out. I called the local, good old boy police department. The cops found him, realized they all knew him (he knew everyone in town, he owned a local business) and let him go! They made him promise he was going straight home - about 8 miles - yeah right! When he got home (all I'm going to say) is it wasn't pretty for me.

Now let me hear you honk some more about your double standards.

BTW.....pics turned out great! Looks like it was another fantastic party! Sorry I missed it

Pete.....How well do I know...I'm in their sights too, but am like BB - don't care, laugh it off, I mean come on now, it's the internet - NOT real life!

As for the bottom feeding pond scum moving on....I say YIPPPPPEEEEE!! The lifeguard has finally done her duty and thrown in extra clorine!!! Let them have their 'fun' on DH - I still prefer this place. Those of us who remained behind can start fresh and have these forums back to par in no time!! I realize there are still some here who are playing both sides of the fence - just have to be careful what is typed for 2 reasons - they run to DH and spread the word (afraid they may come back and want in on our fun) or some others think with Christmas upon us they are still children and must act as such no matter where they are. Personally, I wouldn't call them movers and shakers - LOL - think it best at this time to refrain from saying what I call them!!

All I ever seemed to reel in were old boots and tires.......gave that sport up for a new one!

Speaking of Wiley....saw a cartoon recently featuring Wylie Coyote and his cousin.....Wiley Cougar

Hey! They were fishing!! Seems everything they caught had to be thrown back - under size.....but I did hear part of their converstion....went something like this...."another Pete, to small, toss it back.......dang, a Bruce, to small, back he goes....WoW! How do we keep doing this? Another little Pete....Pete and Repeat, I mean Bruce".

Thanks Pastor P! All you stated makes clear sense - even to a non religious/non church go'er and I agree - we are all equals - IMO.

I think this guy needs a NURSE.......Where's a NURSE when you need one?

Funny that no where in his profile does he mention any of this nonsense - maybe he prefers the 'bait & switch' tactic - LOL!! No pic either...makes one go hmmmmm.

He IS one of your flock, Pastor P!

OMG Pete! We would drive ourselves NUTS if we even tried to figure out what makes you all tick!! Each of you 'tick' to the beat of a different drummer. And personally, WHO CARES??? I tick, you tick, we all tick but must we over-analyze everything? I don't live in a 'clinical' world.

I know some women who are married and have been most of their life - they've never written a check or balanced a checkbook - never had real responsibility of their own other then doing what the old man expected of them. Have seen some go to pieces, in more then one way, when they lost their other half. They can't stand on their own 2 feet.

When you're single you learn to be independent in order to live a 'normal' life - roof paid, elec. paid, kids taken care of, car running, etc. When you're single you'd better be independent or you'll become a pathetic excuse of a woman!

A generous man - LMAO!! Kind of like seeing the road sign saying....Men Working!!!

And for my 2 cents.....

First let me say I agree with Hurricane too. Part of being independent includes needing 'me' time.

For me being independent means.....
I have my own transportation - I do not need to depend on someone to transport me.
I have my own money - I do not need to depend on someone to 'pay my way' (as Pastor P puts it).
I have my own life - I do not need to depend on others to give me a life.
I have my own needs, wants, thoughts and beliefs - I do not need to depend on others to think for me or tell me how to think.
I have my own home - I do not need to depend on someone for shelter.
I have my health - I do not need to depend on someone to take care of me.

Bottom Line - - - I have everything I need to survive without the assistance of others. OR I can stand on my own 2 feet without being supported by you.

bre......What an excellent post. You summed it up quite well.

Truly I believe you'll find the 'classy' ladies (as you refer to them) on this site because it's.....FREE! They have invested nothing but a little time to create a profile (same as craigslist). Like they say.....If it's free it's for me! Or.....If it's free I'll take three!

If you look, you'll find these 'classy' type ladies anywhere you go. Keep in mind, I'm on your side when it comes to the sex - ain't a gonna happen the first time out! Probably not the 2nd or 3rd either. Wasn't raised that way and haven't lived that way ever in my life - too old to start now! BUT....there are many out there that are on the other side. And I agree, I really believe MOST guys only want to test/taste the cow immediately. Think alot of it goes to society of today - we want everything NOW! No one wants to wait for anything - it must be available NOW for 'it' to get our attention.

I have been on Adult Friend Finder for years - made some good friends there years ago and like others, have stuck around for their forums, the chat rooms, a few parties (an NO, they are not all orgies!!). AFF has taught me things I would never have imangined happen - OMG!! Half the fun of being on that site is reading! But again, whether I meet someone from this site or AFF sex isn't going to happen in the beginning. Yes, there are millions of 'weird' people on AFF but there is also some very nice people on there too.

I firmly believe it's all in the person you meet and that it is possible to go on a date and not sleep with your date. I find it's easier to inform said date, prior to going out, that 'it' isn't going to happen. If said date remains scheduled, tells you something about the date. Get the touchy stuff out of the way in the beginning - watch how fast most run - tells you all you needed to know and you didn't even have to get dressed or look at their ugly mug!

DO AMERICAN WOMEN THINK LATINOS ARE NOT IDEAL COMPANION??
Posted: 11/16/2009 5:18:52 PM
I've kept my mouth shut up until now....sorry but it's opening.

If you can't tell I'm a 100% white woman and only date white men. Am I a racist? NO!

One of my best friends is black, another one is Mexican, Best Man at my wedding is black, have a couple friends from Haiti.

Now would I 'bed' any man except a white man? NO!

Just because we don't out of our race does not make us racists. Grow up and learn the true meaning of words before trying to use them! And while you're at it - pull up your damn pants and quit touching your crotch!! So unbecoming of a male - regardless of where he's from.

How To Train You Man
Posted: 11/15/2009 5:59:23 AM
Rt....see! Knew I was right! You have so much going for you that I think this guy was a hinderance to you.

YES! Men seem to think decisions are not for them to make, but for them to approve. Love your example of where to eat - my ex was a steak and potato guy whereas I am a seafood gal - whenever he asked that question I knew if I did suggest a restaurant it had either better be a steak house or a restaurant that had good seafood AND good steak - OR - I'd indirectly 'hear' about it all night! But what he really hated was when he'd ask that question and I'd be all....Gee, I don't know, where do you want to go? LOL! He'd get all flustered and tell me not to answer a question with a question or ask me why I can't just answer his question with a straight answer.....

Truely, I believe it's a 'no win' situation!

My ex was a civil engineer - had a slew of people working under him - he never knew the meaning of team work, since the team worked under him! It was ultimately 'His way or the highway' as he always made the final decisions (guess he thought he was still at work when he got home!). Needless to say I took the highway!!!

I'd play the "Elderly Abuse" card except he was older!!!!

Rt.....stop trying to analyze this guy. You are wasting your time.

I read your profile - it's his loss! Appears you have a lot going for you - enjoy life - you have plenty of time to find Mr. Ok and get old & bored together.

Good Luck to you!

It's a man's way of politely telling you to go fly a kite!

They're too whimpy to give the real reason so they see this as an easy way out for them to end things.

Ladies....you will drive yourselves to drink and other time wasting things if you try to figure out all their little games.

Just move along with your sanity and re-bait your hooks!

Blender Boi.....STFU!

DelrayBoi....Your last paragraph requires a correction - Should have begun "Men/Ladies".....

Ladies do not forget your measuring tapes either! You know if they reported they are 5'10", technically they are about 5'8"!! Remember - they are all using the POF Measuring System - measure plus 2. (Applies to other regions too)

My favorite are the ones who tell you they have a 32" waist - maybe - but I don't measure UNDER the tool shed - I measure around it. Pull 'em up semi Ed Grimley style and still tell me those 32" waist jeans work now.

It isn't just the ladies who fib a little - you guys are guilty too!

Thanks Pete!

No, I didn't google it, honestly could not understand that term - never heard it used before.

But does make sense - know a few people like that. Have a friend the size of Rhode Island and she only drinks Diet Coke because of the sugar - am guessing all the grease she uses for frying doesn't count!!

Discipline & self control is putting it mildly - it takes strict discipline to stay on the healthy diet - really difficult to do when you're at dinner & the others are diving into dishes with sauces or sizzling steaks and you're facing a grilled piece of xxx or another lame salad!

As for the LTR......at our age LT really is ST (short)!!

(Pssst....Wolfie.....ok, I'll bring the mix for the blender.....you bring some large cups...after a few, the opponent won't be able to stand, much less stand still, much less remember how to spell his name......in the mean time you practice with the use of a funnel)

I always thought "Takes care of herself" means she earns her own living, is knowledgeable and proficient in the art of check writing and bill paying, can change a tire if AAA is busy, takes the trash out and can fetch her own brewsky from the kitchen. You know - those types of things.

Guess it's like LTR.....Everyone has their own perspective!

Maybe a thread should be started on "What is normal"? How many different perspectives do you think you'd get??

Oh Lord......How COULD I forget to check the hoses? Was taught all about checking hoses - make sure they're long and strong, just the right circumference for the opening they'll covering - no thin or wearing areas - no tape to hold them firm or hide holes.

How could hoses ever be forgotten!

Ok.....let me take (another) one for the team and speak.

Must be having a blonde, senior moment because I fully agree with all you guys, only from a woman's viewpoint.

The people on this site are like no other I have encountered - it's like visiting a new country when I sign in here. The vast majority don't know what they want - IMO. I am not one for initiating emails as I could care less whether I receive no emails or 600 - I still have my life, I will still eat and breath and I will still enjoy my everyday happenings.

Reading the profiles gives me my 'jollies' (yeah, I'm easy to please) and from what I've read, between the profiles and the post, not many have gone past, oh, about the 3rd grade.

Like the guys enjoy women's pics of their what not's hanging out, we ladies (ok me) do not enjoy seeing men in their pics surrounded by a gaggle of 17 year olds, shirtless when a shirt should be required by Federal Law in their case, and if I see one more boy genius snapping himself with his Nokia in the 'turliet' I shall puke! Will never forget my first email on POF - boy wonder standing in his front yard - yard of weeds, car on blocks, assorted trash thrown about and yes, the proverbial 'mobile home' in the background - and BW is standing there in a wife beater and ripped jean shorts, barefooted! Yeah boys!! Got my heart racing - NOT! That was on Tuesday. I did reply to him with a simple "No thank you". Saturday I received another email explaining if I was DESPERATE for a date that night he was available - DUH!! Why would I think otherwise?

Got off track there I know - but am agreeing with all you guys - I really don't think people here - male or female - really know what they want and are just fishing under the Catch and Release program until a keeper comes along. And I'm not sure they'd even recognize a keeper if it bit then in the fishing hole!!!

Like the young guy who used to sit next to me at work used to say....
Don't hate the players - Hate the game.

P.S. Actions ALWAYS speak louder then words - that's a given. Parents taught us that at a very early age.
