Your motivation for coming here?
Posted: 8/31/2009 3:57:25 PM
Manwich,
I didn't come here to make my post out of anger.
I don't share your attitude whatsoever, even though there ARE a few angry women who have chosen to berate ME for simply asking a sincere question.
Some of them have posted replies which are worth the time to read them.
A few clearly have agendae~to you, that's "agendas".

A couple of them were unable to get past the angry woman kneejerk reaction of accusing me of seeking sex when I CLEARLY indicated that I am NOT focused upon sex.
That said, I do NOT mean that I am asexual.
Rather I DO mean that I am able to enjoy the company of a woman who is able to converse, laugh at herself AND me, do things, share some interests and have a conversation.
You can easily tell which of them are too immature and angry to understand this and/or take part in that.
THOSE are the type wof woman that I avoid, even if she wants to "get laid".
there is more to sex than just getting laid and, it is unfortunate~moreso for the women~who are too messed up to understand that a man can have a decent relationship with a woman which doesn't include "ownership".

The woman who said she hates golf and/or fishing had some intelligent things to say.
The immature, angry "girl" who called me a troll had NOTHING so add as didn't the one who accused me of wanting "friends with benefits".

Seems to be a waste of time to be a guy and ask a legitimate question here all too often.

Why do you feel the "need' to use "creepier"?
Is everything about someone who you don't know or don't find attractive just "creepy"?

Is your "friends with benefits" comment meant to be an insult?

Let's list those "benefits" right here in a mature and grown up way.

Benefit #1: Respect
" #2: Not being controlling
" #3: Listening to each other
" #4: Not insulting each other because I'm a man/she's a woman
" #5: Allowing a woman to feel safe/comfirtable.

I could go on however, I think you have an agenda and it would be a waste of time.

oli,
Check out my post entitled "Your motivation for coming here.
I think we are both "Mr Not Perfect", etc.

I'm not tall enough.
I'm too old.
I'm not this, that and whatever so, they don't even acknowledge my existence.
From your pic, you seem to be adecent looking guy and, I'm a straight guy so, I mean that honestly.
We are typically disparaged as "only looking to get laid", etc.
Well, I believe what is really going on is that they are looking for "Mr Perfect" and can't accept anything less than their imaginary ideal.
You are not alone in being ignored.
We will know hear about my attitude being the reason why I don't hear anything.('')

Your motivation for coming here?

I don't visit here often as, I have a lot going on in my life most of the time.
That said, I have almost never gotten any inquiries/hellos in my mail.
I'm not one of those guys who is looking to get all involved and/or "hot & heavy", etc, especially on a first date.
I'm more the type of guy who understands that that which is allowed to happen is typically the best of situations.
I've wondered for quite a while about whether most women who come here are looking for something more 'involved".
If a guy isn't, what should I call it, "reqady" for involvement, are you not interested?
Are you women unable to be friends with a guy without 'involvement"?
I've often wondered about these things and, this is the first time I've posted about it.
Oh, yeah. I'm not an ugly old creep yet, I'm not a candidate for the mags.
I think most women who come here are stuck in that "Mr Right" rut and anyone who isn't all but perfect is a non-entity.

Tell me.

guns at home
Posted: 6/29/2009 1:40:38 PM
It is a fact, and can be PROVEN to be a fact that those who are the most frightened of guns know NOTHING about them.
They are the very same people who are unable to understand that it is the PERSON and not the gun.
I have several guns in my house, one of which is always loaded and fairly handy.
I am not paranoid, notr do I see any reason to ne overtly fearful of anyone breaking into my home.
It DOES occur at times even though I live in a pretty safe neighborhood where we neighbors know each other, are friendly, see each other almost daily and KNOW who of us have guns.
Some of my neighbors have children.
They are glad that they have neighbors like myself and others here.

It's amazing how ignorant the frighteners and those from other plces are about us.
My neighbors here who own guns can typically be seen waving at each other, mowing lawns, working on our homes, a boat, a car or whatever.
Not a one of us is one of those who the ANTIs like to term as "gun nuts".
We own homes, have jobs, etc.
People who live among us ARE a hell of a lot safer than those in other places yet, THAT is typically a hidden fact by the MSM and the ANTIs.
BTW-the ANTIs are ALWAYS ANTI someone else's possessions, freedoms, etc.
Threaten one of their and you will suffer broken eardrums.

Goodbye Michael Jackson..................
Posted: 6/29/2009 1:17:09 PM
I was born in 1939.
I've been around for a long line of music genres.
I enjoy almost all of them other than opera and nosetwanghillbilly noise.
My favorite genre is jazz.
I have more than a K of 78s, vinyl, casettes, CDs and DVDs.
I have an attitude much like Sinatra did.
I'm a straight guy who is aggressively assertive.
I did this, that and other stuff, including some stuff in Nam that is best left there.

With all that, I am NOT a guy who is too damn cowardly to show my soft side.
Sounds like there are quite a few here who ARE so, they have to appear like a tough guy and call Jackson names, etc.
Well, if they so KNOW that he did what they are stating, they must have BEEN THERE.
Hmmm. Doesn't that make them complicit in whatever it is they're blathering about?
How else could they absolutely KNOW these things?
Arrest them, they were THERE!!

So, MJ had a real bstard for a father.
So did I.
When I was a little kid, my Ma had a miscarriage.
MY bastrd father used to like to say to me and/or in front of me that "the wrong one lived".
I have a lot of empathy for MJ due to being able to understand how it felt to have those things done to one's self.
I pretty much had a lot of MY childhood stolen from me so, I say that I KNOW what he meant when he wrote this:
"Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for the world that I come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...

People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate,
For the Childhood
I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things,
It's been my fate to compensate,
For the Childhood I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my Childhood..."

It sure would be nice to be right in front of some of the jerks who enjoy hiding behind POF to call someone names who they truly know nothing about.

I don't look at MJ in any manner of hero worship butt, I sure as hell can enjoy some of his music and understand his sad, loneliness.

I'm a lifelong Blackhawks fan.
I've also always been a Sundin fan.
He looked pretty slow next to the kids on the Hawks.
I think he played his last game however, I'm not certain.
Your team played hard butt, I truly think the Hawks just had too much of everything for them to overcome.
They're young, have a hell of a lot of talent and, they fly.

The 7th game tonight in the ducks/dead things series ought to be a killer.
After the crap at the end of the last game, I wonder whether the two coaches will be able to keep the players' minds on the game itself and not on the other stuff.

It would be a good thing if you ask some of your friends if they know of someone who is a 'backyard" mechanic.
Too many shops will try to rip off a woman which is vulgarly sexist.
This should be much simpler than they want to make it out to be.

If there are screws where the door closes, those are the wrong ones.
Most inside dorr panels are held in by snaps and can be popped away with a screwdriver.
Once you get access to the inside of the door, it should be fairly simple to determine which part is broken or merely loose.
I hope this helps.

Seems as if I started a thread which may become popular.
I see some "angries" are already voting to have it removed.
I hope the mods don't find out that we are trying to HELP EACH OTHER and close us down.

Thanks, JTG4U,
I own an appliance repair business and I work with electric & electronics.
I have the schematic/diagram however, it doesn't indicate there's a seperate amp.
I'll just have to crawl around in the 3 square inches of space under the dash to find it all.

Anyone here like to work on their own vehicles?
Could be a starter for a help section.
I hope the mods aren't against us helping each other.

Here's my problem for starters:
I have a '93 Jag XJS.
The radio only plays sometimes.
There IS power to it as, the dial lights up & the station indicating pixels are there.
If I hear a POP through the speakers as I turn the key, the radio plays.
If I do NOT hear this pop, there is no sound.
It isn't an antenna problem as, it's the same when I insert a casette.

I hope I get a reply before this is deleted.
Also, who may have their own problems with their vehicles?

Dog barking situation - is there a nice way to handle?
Posted: 4/23/2009 9:12:04 AM
I have some white trash neighbors who had a barker.
They'd hang it out on a rope all day & it never shut up.
They were also druggies and, eventually the barker's "owner" had to move and took the barker with him.
It's much better now.

I've always tried to be a good neighbor and, due to this, even though it took almost a year, I taught my cat to not bark.

These are 'genuine clips' from UK council complaint letters( or so I've been told) - have a laugh!

* My bush is really overgrown round the front and my back passage has fungus growing in it.

* He's got this huge tool that vibrates the whole house and I just can't take it anymore.

* It's the dog's mess that I find hard to swallow.

* I want some repairs done to my cooker as it has backfired and burnt my knob off.

* I wish to complain that my father hurt his ankle very badly when he put his foot in the hole in his back passage.

* And their 18 year old son is continually banging his balls against my fence.

* I wish to report that tiles are missing from the outside toilet roof. I think it was bad wind the other night that blew them off.

* My lavatory seat is cracked, where do I stand?

* I am writing on behalf of my sink, which is coming away from the wall.

* Will you please send someone to mend the garden path. My wife tripped and fell on it yesterday and now she is pregnant.

* I request permission to remove my drawers in the kitchen.

* 50% of the walls are damp, 50% have crumbling plaster and 50% are plain filthy.

* I am still having problems with smoke in my new drawers.

* The toilet is blocked and we cannot bath the children until it is cleared.

* Will you please send a man to look at my water, it is a funny colour and not fit to drink.

* Our lavatory seat is broken in half and is now in three pieces.

* I want to complain about the farmer across the road; every morning at 6am his****wakes me up and its now getting too much for me.

* The man next door has a large erection in the back garden, which is unsightly and dangerous.

* Our kitchen floor is damp. We have two children and would like a third so please send someone round to do something about it.

* I am a single woman living in a downstairs flat and would you please do something about the noise made by the man on top of me every night.

* Please send a man with the right tool to finish the job and satisfy my wife.

* I have had the clerk of works down on the floor six times but I still have no satisfaction.

* This is to let you know that our lavatory seat is broke and we can't get BBC2.

You would have hated Gordie Howe.
A Gordie Howe hat tick as a goal, an assist and a fight.
I saw him destroy a player who was supposed to be a tough guy or, as you would say, a good.
this guy's name was Lou Fontinato.
He played over the edge and was often "dirty".
He cheapshotted Gordie one time and, Gordie broke his nose and left him slowly skating off the ice to never again be a tough guy.
Gordie Howe is probably the greatest player ever to play in the NHL.
Yes. I'm aware of Mr Wonderful, Whine Gretzsky however, he was NOT a complete player.
Gordie was.
If you don't actually understand why players fight who are not "goons", then you don't understand the game.
There are legitimate reasons why there are fights in hockey.
Some others here understand and may have th einterest and time to explain them to you.
I played for many years and understand and love all facets of the game.
Too many people who quivver when there's a fight never seem to notice the skill it takes top actually play at the top level.
I was good yet, I'd never have been able to play even in a top junion league.

Over the years, I've found that, if they're deaf, I can fart right away.

It also makes it easier to get away with it if you're not sitting on the same seat so that they can feel the vibrations.

Accusing them of having bad breath also eases getting out of the guilt.

Our perception of America
Posted: 6/7/2007 9:05:53 AM
I'd like to address this threead as a guy who is a native American.
That means that I was born here.
I'm caucasian.

This place is so big and so full of so many different sorts of people that it is not accurate to group them all as one way.

There are a lot of aspects to America which are clearly negative as there are aspects which are clearly positive.
For instance, I have some neighbors who are just great.
I also have a neighbor who is white trash and, most of us would love to see them gone.

The very great majority of Americans who care about America and their fellow Americans detest the current regime and all its gangsters.

Most of us have absolutely no desire to invade any other country and feel that this invented war is morally, ethically and legally wrong.

Yes, many of us are obsessed with politics however, these scumbags in our government are doing every possible clandestine manipulation they can get away with to negate our constitution and invade our lives.
They do this because they are mercenary power freaks.

If you were to spend time in my neighborhood, you'd see that we are mowers of lawns, washers of cars/truck, hgolfers, fishermen/women, grillers, pub denizens, non-drinkers/smokers, jerks, nice people and many many different people.

I did something Tuesday on my way along the freeway.
There were a couple of women on the side of the road with a flat tire.

I turned around and went back to them.
I got out of my truck and walked up to them and asked them if I could help.

Well, to make a long story shorter, I changed their tire, putting on their spare and helped them put all their stuff away.
I began to wealk back to my truck and, one of the women walked up to me and tried to hand me some $$.
I told her that that isn't what life is all about and refused the $$.
She thanked me and we parted ways.

Now, I didn't do this for any ulterior motive.
I did it because it feels good inside of me to be like that.

There are times when I suffer from assholitis butt, I do enough positives that thoe positives are ahead.

I thinnk there are two things about me which just might make me attractive or, at least, acceptible to Brits(especially the ladies).

One is that I drive a '93 Jaguar XJS from Coventry.
The other is that I will NEVER be too old to lick the jar.

Our perception of America

Oh Robin Hood, er, Celtic Archer,

It's quite clear that your anger stems from something which has absolutely nothing to do with "America".
I won't "flame" you however, after perusing your posts, I truly believe that you brought your anger with you when you came here.
It sounds very much as if you need to do some self-searching to find your own truth(s) rather than directing it outward where you cannot experience any positives for yourself.

what appliance can you live without..

Hmmm.
Why didn't you ladies mention your true favorite appliance?
You know, the one with batteries.

BTW-I have an appliance repair business here in the colonies and, it seems the newer the appliance, the shi**ier it's made.

What a way to have job security.
