Can't imagine it op. I crave affection. Being alone and single at 61 sucks big time. Months go by without so much as a hug. When I am in a relationship , I love to hold hands, cuddle, kiss. A pat on your butt as I pass through the kitchen. Damn I miss that. Now mind you I am not on a pity thread, I survive without out it, but I sure do miss it. Maybe growing up in Kansas made me this way lol I do think people are more affectionate or maybe just friendlier in the midwest .

OP: Congradulations on your weight loss. Most guys your age should be able to over look a little sagging skin. Most of us men are not looking for the young firm hot body. We understand with age , things happen with our bodies wheather we like it or not. If there is love in a relationship,that can make up for the not so hard body. I do understand your insecurity. I am sure we all wish we had the body of a movie star , but life is what it is. If a man cant get passed a little extra skin, then he is not the man for you.

Well I am not sure , if I should post here since I am a moderate Democrate LOL Yes there are moderate democrats. lol --- I could date a hot babe or even a not so hot babe, that differed from my view on politics or religion. If we can have a mutual respect for each others view's , and have an honest debate on the issues without name calling . I could not date a hot babe or not so hot babe , if they call our president Hitler,deny that he was born in the united states (even tho the birth certicifate has been looked at numerouse times) believe that this administration wants death panels lol you get the idea. Never once when Bush was president did I call him hitler. Did I disagree with his policy's? Yes ,on many occasions. The key to a good relationship or even dating is a mutual chemisty, sharing of similar beliefs, activites, and if our politics differ fine, just repect the others view point even if it dosent coinside with ours . I have dated consertive republicans, we just agreed not to discuss politics, but could debate policy. Did we always agree ? Nope, but with love and understanding , we could agree to disagree. I read the forums a lot , but I also have to say everyone has an opinion and this opinion may not coinside with my opinion . Is it easier to get over heart ache if you are not married and the relationship ends ? For me it isnt . Usually it takes me atleast a year to get over a relationship. Granted , a divorce includes heartache , along with divorce lawyers, etc, so maybe it is easier from the aspect of not having to deal with lawyers, courts etc. As for the heart , I think its about the same . I have no fear of marriage, nor do I think that its absolutely necessary to marry either. If a couple want to live together in a loving relationship , I am all for that to. If later down the road, we agree that we want to marry , fine, if we don't fine also . Steve

Are there really men that are so insecure that they have to do everything with there S/O husband, boyfriend ? That would drive me nuts if I had a woman like that . I do think we all differ on whats off bounds. I have went shopping with my girlfriend when I had one. It was not a regular thing, but she wanted to shop for a fancy dress and wanted my opinion. I enjoyed it but would not want to do it on a regular basis. Bathroom time should be off limits, unless someone wants you to join them . Girls night out ? no problem . If there is a program on tv or a movie you want to watch and I am not into it, fine I will use the other tv or read a book. Doctors appointment ? If you want me there I'm there either in the waiting room or the exam room if you want me there . Now if I am in for a yearly prostrat check , maybe you ought to wait in the waiting room LOL Steve

Not looking for a sugar momma: I do have to say that some men because of divorce, bad decisions in life etc, dont have a lot of material goods. Is that wrong ? Not all men are looking for a sugar momma. It seems to be a fact that lots of men loose the home when they get divorced. I could never live off of a woman. I have no problem dating women without kids or thats kids are gown. I spent most of my married life living for my children, now is the best time to be able to share a relationship with someone that does have the time. My problem is I keep finding women, that still have kids living with them and they are in there 50's or even 60's, or they spent some much time with work, or there kids, they seem to not have time to date. I would like to find a woman, that either dosent have children or they are grown. I always enjoyed supporting my children in school, sports, programs etc, but now should be the best time in life because we dont have all the demands that childrearing demands. Steve

As for myself , I do not believe I am looking for perfection. No one is perfect. I think it starts with attraction. May be shallow , but we all find different things attracting. I am not looking for a perfect models body. I understand that especially with age comes a little more weight etc. I start with looking for someone that is average to a few pounds overweight. Then there needs to be some common intrests. I dont think we have to like all of the same things that would be boring . Next I look for somone that is intrested in me and my intrests. Thats the hard part LOL And that lives within a reasonable distance so that we can date. (Another hard one LOL ) Then there needs to be time to date. I dont know how many times , I have had an intrest in someone only to find out that they are workaholics, are so envolved with there kids or an elderly parent that they really dont have time to date. It shouldnt be this damn hard, but it is lol

OP , In my opinion you should not discuss your sexual experience with a new guy. Maybe later down the road in a casual conversation this could be brough up , but like somone else said, dont mention how much you were in love etc, just tell what you have experienced or not experienced . If you are a virgin, maybe say something right before doing the deed , Please go slowly I am a virgin. When I was in my 20 's all I was intrested in was having sex, I never once thought about the experience of my partner. We never discussed any previous expererience , , we just did it. Maybe if it was a relationship , later on we discussed what we liked or didnt like, or would like to try, but never before we became intiment .

I spent 20 years working for the Kansas Dept of Corrections as a Corrections Supervisor. I was always amazed when we let out a convicted child molester. I also never understood the warning that they were most likely to offend again. Why are we allowing these sick people out in society again? Mostly its the laws . My opinion is that we need to change the laws. I do believe that a small minority were wrongly convicted. I say if they are convicted , they should do there time, be required to attend and complete all sex offender classes. At the end of there sentence , release them. If they are convicted again, execute them immediately. Child molestation is a sickness that cannot be cured. At the very least , these people should never again be allowed to return to society. Until the citizens of this country say enough is enought this will contiue to be a problem . If you feel that enough is enought , contact your state represenative and demand that the laws are changed.

LOL Some of the things I have learned in my live is that ,you cannot fix people , just love them for who they are . Someone said that courage is the most important viture. I sadly find that virtue lacking in lots of women my age. Lots say that they want love and companionship , but are too afraid of commitment. I am not the man that cheated on you. I am not the man that played with your emotions. Move on and give me a chance to love you. I know that sounds like its easy , and I realize that for some it is not, but at least for myself , I refuse to believe that love and having a relationship at this age is not impossible. We have all been hurt in past relationships , but mine are in the past , and I still look forward to meeting that woman, who has the courage to put past realtionships in the past, and moves on with the belief that there is someone out there that is not out to use them, but just to love them. My profile says I am 62 which I am not.I am 61. I never even noticed it until I could not email someone here with age restrictions on there mail. I suppose the owners don't allow you to change your age for this reason. Mine was an honest mistake LOL Why would I intentially list my age as older ? LOL I have meet a couple of women that listed there age as younger, and only by talking on the phone or meeting in person did they slip up on there age story and I found they were 2 to 5 years older than there profile stated. It didnt bother me , as nothing developed with them anyway LOL

I was under the assumption that with a large weight loss, there would be lots of stretched skin to deal with either through surgical removal or if you couldnt afford that you had rolls of loose skin LOL Silly me. Thanks for the information. I will not overlook somone just because they had the surgery. I am sure you feel lots better about yourself ,and are healthier , and hey thats what counts.
