July sucks!
Posted: 7/20/2008 9:04:03 PM
I can relate. My girls are both on thier own now, but when they were younger they would spend entire summers with my parents.

The first couple of days were really hard, but eventually I would come up with other things to occupy my time...usually golf, hanging out with friends or (as someone else put it) watch movies that were not kid-friendly.

My youngest just graduated from high school and left for Army basic training almost a month ago. I miss her but she is doing well.

Hang in there OP. July is almost over!!

Top court in California clears the way for voters to decide gay marriage issue.

Correct me if I am wrong (and it does happen far too frequently) but didn't the people of California already decide this? Didn't they already vote against gay marriage before the courts stepped in?

Prediction: Dark Knight will break box office records
Posted: 7/18/2008 8:03:04 AM
I think you are right about it breaking records. My buddy and I are going to the IMAX to see it and when we tried to get tickets ahead of time, it was sold out until Monday!

I am looking forward to seeing it. I am a full-fledged comic book geek and I have quite an extensive Batman collection. I have been waiting for this one since I saw the last one. From the trailers I have seen, this one looks a lot better.

Just my 2 cents....

Manson follower wants compassion...........................

Here's my thought...

Let's ask Sharon Tate and the LaBianca's if she should be released. If it's Ok with them, it's OK by me.

Expain the phrase My children are my top priority?
Posted: 7/16/2008 8:51:50 AM
In my experience, that phrase means the same thing as saying "I am going to overindulge my children no matter what it takes." It could also mean that "My children are super-spoiled and always get their way, so if you can't handle that - too bad."

Having said that, I do agree with several others who have posted here. If your profile says that you have children, I think I can logically make the assumption that they are your top priority. You don't need to tell me.
